Hi folks,
I had installed kitkat 4.4.4 with recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.4-a700, then I decided to try the lollipop 5.1.1 with CM 12.1 and from there I got stucked with a cycle of reboot. It starts, with at centre ACER logo green and top "Bootloader Version JB-653b3d3 (Unlock Mode)" then it comes the CYANOGENMOD and after 5 sec it reboots. If I connect the USB, it is popping out the message (windows 7) that device is connecting but in this little time there is not enough time to establish the connection before it reboots!
I tried to go to the recovery with Press [vol-] + [power], Once the tablet vibrated, let go [power] and keep [vol-], Now the tablet vibrates a second time, let go [vol-] and press [vol+] quickwith, it comes: "Bootloader Version JB-653b3d3 (Unlock Mode)", second row "Entering boot menu" and nothing happen... it does not come the menu of the 6.0.4.4 anymore. I tried to connect the USB cable as well but it is not recognised (ADB DEVICES empty list).
Not sure if anyone is still on the A700 but any help would be very much appreciated!

I guess minimal version for CWM are:
CM 10 JB CWM 6.0.1.5 minimum
CM 11 4.4 Kit Kat CWM 6.0.4.4 minimum
CM 12 LP 5 Lolipop CWM 6.0.5.0+
You should try to plug it in fastboot mode even if it does not appear in the adb devices list and flash CWM 6.0.5.0 with something like
fastboot flash recovery recovery6050image.img
I know the post is ageing but I have something similar with an A700, except I can get into a broken recovery:. I can perform some operations but no 'wipe cache' action for example, it reboots.
If I plug it in fastboot mode, it doesn't appear in the 'adb devices' list but I can flash different recoveries (but not sideload any ROM).
Some helpful files if you need them (latest A700 CM ROM have 6.0.5.0 recovery associated with the latest 2016 august ROM)
http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=a700
http://acer.shreps.fr/
if you can't get to recovery then you need to manually boot to fastboot / usb protocol to try a different one.
the directions are only a couple threads away from this one

Hi there,
I have a rooted and unlocked UK T-Mobile Atrix.
After following the CM7 Beta instructions up to this point:
While in Recovery install CM7 from internal storage
After installation select Data Wipe/Factory Reset
Then Wipe Cache Partition
Reboot system now
Watch awesome boot animation.
I rebooted, but have not seen the awesome boot animation (and I so want to see it) and am now stuck on the initial Dual Core splash screen.
I noted from a couple of posts in the CM7 thread that using Tenfar's CWM may be the cause of the issue.
Unfortunately I am unsure what to do now to fix my mistake and get a rom on the phone and boot it.
Please can someone help?
Thanks
Well...i got the same problem, maybe more worst....i`m stuck on S E logo for 7-10 seconds and after is rebooting again alone and again, i`m not able to go to xrecovery mode and as well i cannot to stay connected on my computer with the phone...is any chance to repair my phone or is time to drop on my recycle bin? Thanks!
I managed to find a solution (should have searched harder...) I followed these instructions here "code(.)google(.)com/p/atrix-dev-team/wiki/BackupRestore"
Flashing CWM Recovery via Fastboot
Download the latest CWM recovery from Downloads section (recovery-cwm-ext4.img)
Power off phone
Put phone into fastboot (Power + Vol Down Button)
Press Volume Up button to select Fastboot
Connect phone via USB cable
Open Command Prompt from your fastboot directory
Type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" (no quotation marks)
Type "fastboot reboot"
Followed by pressing volume down during the reboot, then pressing volume down repeatedly until Android Recovery appears on screen then pressing up. This allowed me to reapply the CM7 rom and all was good.
I'm not sure if this helps you Hellspawm, but good luck.
BLESS YOU! you helped out a noob in distress I had the exact same problem and it's fixed now.
Recently I flashed official P920 ICS (upgraded from GB using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191698) so I get Wiimotes and HDMI sound on Samsung TV working. Now I wanted to install cwm recovery and install a custom kernel - that could allow me to overclock the phone. Unfortunately I can't get the recovery to work. When I flash CWM (using fastboot) 6.0.1.9 i get a black screen when I try to enter recovery when using stock bootloader. When I try to enter CWM with Wkpark's bootloader sometimes I get this message:
---------------------------------
muic mode = 0
Please wait for seconds
---------------------------------------
and then phone stucks on silver LG logo with fastboot on top.
and sometimes I get this message instead:
--------------------------------------------------------
_hw_c=23 _sr=1 scrm=0 (or something like that)
Power_Off
---------------------------------------------------------
And phone shuts down.
I tried CWM from the clockworkmod site and some [GB] TWRP from xda-developers. The result is the same.
Please help.
When that happens, I remove the battery for 10 or 15 seconds, then put the battery, back to press the buttons and when you exit the menu where you choose bot, or twr, give quickly to volume + and volume-to leave in the option correct and it will not leave it to power off.
Sorry if my English is not the most correct and some not well understood.

You mean, that I should do it in the menu in which I have 3 choices:
- Normal
- Fastboot
- Recovery
If yes, then it doesn't work. The default option is recovery, so before the timer runs out, the phone tries to enter the recovery but I get the messages described in my previous post. Even if I press volume + / - before the time runs out and select "Recovery" I get the previously described messages (or errors).
Some new info: when I try to boot recovery with the use of an app (Rebooter) I only enter the silver LG logo with fastboot mode instead of recovery.
Guys, please help. I want to OC this phone so badly...
there are about 5 open threads with the same topic at the moment. just look around.
here for example how to open your bootloader and install recovery - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2366916
or here just to do all from scratch -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2366916
XDA,
I am trying to root the stock rom (Cyanogen OS 12.10YOG4PAS1N0). I have thus far managed to unlock the bootloader and am now trying to install a custom recovery - here I run into some problems:
So I downloaded the latest TWRP and renamed it recovery.img - pressed 'fastboot erase recovery' and then 'fastboot flash recovery recovery.img' -all going fine.
I then unhook the phone, turn it off - press volume down and the power button to boot straight into recovery (not even booting OS) and here's where it gets interesting:
The 1+ logo appears, as if its trying to boot recovery - it hangs for 10s, then the screen goes black and it vibrates. The 1+ logo appears again and it boots straight into OS.
If I keep pressing volume down I am in a loop like this, with 1+ logo, screen black and so on.
So I never actually get into the custom recovery. And if I boot into the OS and press restart into recovery: I get stock recovery.
I've tried CWM. TWRP, Philz, the toolkit, manually - lots of things. I turned off overwrite custom recovery in the developer options - all to no avail.
I hope someone recognizes this problem and can help me out.
Thanks a million,
Michiel.
Not sure if this is your issue, but go to this thread on how to unlock bootloader, install custom recovery and root. See the note in underline at the bottom of item #2, installing the custom recovery. I was unable to get TWRP to stick until I followed this simple method.
Yes, I tried this but when I power the phone down and boot it with the powerbutton and volume button - it hangs on the OPO logo and reboots again into the OS.
Hello everyone
I own the Motorola Moto G ( 1st gen) xt1033 model. I had cm 13(latest release) flashed on it and my custom recovery is TWRP 2.8.4.0 and it was working fine until today after using it for around 2 months.
So what happened today is that while running an application, my Moto G shut down randomly( I don't know the reason for that),and it got stuck in bootloop ( Everytime I start it, the cm logo will appear and then it sometimes even shows my lock screen but instantly becomes black after that and most of the time its stuck only on the cm logo). After this I thought of restoring it back to the original firmware using this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2700502
I can get into fastboot mode but can't access the ADB as USB debugging mode was not enabled ( that's the main problem )
So following the procedures of that post, everything worked well on the log of the fastboot (no errors) but after that when I reboot my phone, again the cm logo appears (Even when I flashed it to stock 5.0.2 Lollipop!) and I can even get to my old lock screen sometimes and then instantly it goes black. Even if I try flashing a custom image like stock or some other ROM , it gives no effect as again the cm logo would appear.
I think this has to do with the fact that USB debugging mode was not enabled on it.
Also, I can't enter my recovery. When I use the standard procedure to get into fastboot (power button + volume (-) ) and select recovery, the TWRP splash screen comes then the screen turns black and normal reboot takes place( stuck on the cm head). I tried flashing different recoveries using fastboot (also tried mfastboot) like CWM and even TWRP again but still that bugged TWRP recovery remains.
I can't get to recovery neither can I boot up my phone. I can flash recovery or image files(It shows no errors flashing things, but no effect takes place :/ )
Can someone please help me in finding the solution for this problem? Thanks in advance
Just clear the data, cache and dalvik cache. Phone should boot

Hello guys,
I bought a Lenovo Tab 10 TB-X103F (https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Touchscreen-Quad-core-Processor-Bluetooth/dp/B01MAU8TS2) and i want to root it now.
I've found a TWRP image but i can't find out how to boot to bootloader.
I've tried following things:
VOL UP + Power = Recovery
If i choose "Reboot to bootloader" in the recovery the device will reboot and get stuck at the bootscreen.
I waited for at least 10 minutes and nothing happened.
VOL DOWN + Power = Would be the bootloader, but i get stuck at the bootscreen
USB-Debugging > adb reboot bootloader ..... stuck at bootscreen
VOL UP + VOL DOWN + POWER = short flash of the bootlogo and after that the screen stays black forever but the background lightning is on.
Any ideas? What else could i try?

Well, looks like i was just dumb.
i wasn't stuck at the bootscreen, that was actually the bootloader but there was no single hint or something similar that i'm in the bootloader.
anyway... i had to download the "LeTools" because Lenovo devices have a special fastboot driver.
Where did you find a working TWRP? I found a TWRP on here but after installing via ADB I see no change to the bootloader. The install seems successful via ADB...
First installation didn't work (even if it was "successful"), i installed it a second time and then it did work.
I've been searching my as of for the answer to this, and i managed to not see your edit, even after probably looking at this thread 10 times..
Thank you. I didnt think of this program myself either..
