The two built in keyboards on our watch such pretty bad.

[Q] See through keyboard?

Hello all, is the a way to be able to see through the keyboard? On certain time when i use an app and the section where i input my text, it is behind the keyboard and i cant see what im typing. I can do this on my wife's ipad, and she continues to rub it in my face that her table can do this
Some please help a samsung user squash this matter so i have another "up" on an apple.

You can use floating keyboard mode and move the keyboard away , or disable the split keyboard

Hacker's Keyboard has a transparent theme (experimental) in it's settings. Works fine
Thank you all very much for the inputs. Will look up this hackers keyboard.

Where is that setting as I can't find it on mine?
I use keyboard view settings>theme and label settings and choose keyboard theme transparent (experimental) . Whilethe keys look glowy and the background of each key is a lighter grey, it's not transparent. Tested this using s note and another app. Even restarted my tablet, but nada.

That's what I get also.

getting away from touch wiz, near stock experience

Hi Guys here is a quick video showing Next launcher on the Note 3. Although I have no problems with TW, but its an option to those who dislike it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgfqf0VeQB0
Don't you lose a lot of the S-Pen functionality without TouchWiz?
I only see that is missing the left app slide manager but I see that even if you run the TW isn't there also so you had disable it?

No you don't loose spen functions using a launcher

Just to be clear you dont lose S-Pen but some navigation tricks are lost. Like swiping up for "magazine"
However the replacement launchers often have much more features that include gestures.

You do lose air command though, and multi window, don't you?
Those are specific to TW.
The only thing you keep with S Pen is the actual writing ability and pressure sensitivity, isn't that right?

No air command and air gesture both work on launchers

M8 I asked again but you loose multi window manager? I don't see it in the video

I believe that multi window will still work ...... Had it on a touchwiz 4.1.2 ROM on my s2 with Nova........
rooted, recovered, and rebooted from the ol' i777.......

HTC Keyboard

I just switched from theLg G2 and the first thing I noticed was the HTC keyboard. It is way better. Prediction wise it is on point for me. TheLg use to drive me nuts. I wish this had a number pad option, but otherwise this is the best keyboard I've found that works for me

Yeah I've been using it in place of SwiftKey since I got the One
I tried to like it but I keep going back to the Google Keyboard.
I was using Swype the past two years, but it really went to crap after Nuance bought it. The HTC keyboard works great.

I will have to agree the htc keyboard is one of the best looking and functioning keyboards I've ever used. The only problem I've found is that sometimes when you let the keyboard auto complete and you hit space it'll either use the wrong word or cut the word in half. But all in all great work by htc.
My biggest problem with the HTC keyboard is that it doesn't remove the space before a question or exclamation mark. So I keep putting "hello ?" Instead of "hello?". The Google keyboard removes it.

That and no number keys up top. LG G2 was a great layout..but this keyboard is accurate
Yes G2 layout was Damn near perfect, but this one is spot on accurate

i've been using flexsy now for the past few months. tried to switch back to the htc one because of the theme options but i just couldn't get away from the swipe to delete or space. if you haven't tried it out i suggest you give it go and see what you think
I prefer google keyboard - it is simple and they keys seem more spaced out. The HTC Keyboard app is now on the play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.htc.sense.ime
I've been using the blacked out android l keyboard. Looks sick

I go back and forth between the stock keyboard and switftkey and this may just be the best stock keyboard ever.

[Q] how do you enable air view?

How do you enable air view? I can't find it in the settings
They removed it from the S6 as it was not a very popular feature.

Personally I'm glad they removed it, it's a lag magnet

really? you could always disable it. I never liked Samsung specific implementations but I use it all the time when I'm browsing the web in full desktop mode. it's really useful for mouse hovers to trigger menus, video previews etc. without it I'd be forced to use the mobile version of web sites all the time which I kinda hate. it makes me feel like I'm using a wap browser in 1999 or an iPhone.

Missing S-Pen Features?

Trying to use selective text/ photo whatever it's called. On note 4 I could select a group of words from a picture, post etc. and after selecting a T would pop up if I wanted to extract the text and allow me to copy to clipboard. Is this gone or am I just overlooking it. If they took this away that's bs [emoji35]

I've also been searching for this feature. I maybe used it once or twice on my note 4, but it's an incredibly powerful feature and fun to show off. Wouldn't make sense to remove it.

Still haven't found the built in to snote feature; however, apps like TextFairy or Optical Reader essentially do the same thing (just one more step). They also allow to export to snote/pdf. Wouldn't be too bad to add one of them to the air command menu.

Yes it is definitely a great tool which I used all the time on my note 4. I can't believe they would remove it. That just pissed me off
