Hi
i have activated the UI-Tuner on my A9:
If you are on 1.56 you probably want to download the modded SystemUI_mod.apk . Rename orignal /system/priv-app/SystemUI/SystemUI.apk with rootexplorer and copy and rename with downloaded SystemUI_mod.apk to SystemUI.apk.
Reboot device
to activate extended settings tap and hold gear for 10 Seconds - enjoy
My System: HTC_Europe_1.56.401.70
If you are interesting in changes:
I have edited \smali\com\android\systemui\statusbar\phone\SettingsButton.smali
public boolean isTunerClick() {
return CustomizationUtil.SENSE_STOCK ? this.mUpToSpeed : true;
So you have to edit line 233:
:cond_0
const/4 v0, 0x0
TO
:cond_0
const/4 v0, 0x1
please test and report about problens you found - thanks
P.S. set permission to 644
tried this on ATT version and system ui continually crashed followed by "Marshmallow" quitting due to unexpected error. Restarted and didnt have any back, home or recent apps buttons and after renaming original systemUI to same name (kept it in folder as systemUI_old.apk) still was having problems so restored to backup /data I had taken earlier in the day.....what exactly does this SystemUI tuner allow you to do (cant read german, my apologies)
edit: restoring /data still did not fix problem, attempting a restore of /system now....hoping that should fix it and probably shouldve done that in first place.....

This SystemUI.app probably works only on 1.56.401.70
Do you restore origin Systemui.app from within twrp/advanced/filemanager?
No need to restore anything else
I have tested many times and use for copy/rename twrp- filemanager
Edit: please send me your SystemUI.app
Hello,
I finally manage to mod it.
I have the System UI tuner. I can delete icons, but when i want to add some icons in quick settings, i have a pop-up saying: Unfortunately, System UI has stopped.
Thanks

Yes still some issues (A9):
short tap on gear always asks for deactivating tweak
adding tile results in fc
probably because htc use his own tiles
i will investigate deeper because some apps does not work without UItuner, for example Custom Quick Settings

Yes, helpful. I wonder why i was able to add tiles. After posting SystemUI.app here it crashes also for me when adding tiles
Edit: i does not crash if native tiles (android-icon) were removed before adding new...
I think it would be more interesting if I could change the backgroundcolor of the tiles

Hmm dark blue. What colour should it be?
My A9 is mostly Black&White, so I would prefer Black
But darkblue is allways much better than that Stock boring gray

i have patched your SystemUI.apk. It is only for your System and you have to
rename original file to something like SystemUI.apk.original and copy the pached file SystemUI-sprint-pached.apk to SystemUI.apk.
I have pached this file only by 1 byte and it is only for testimonials but you can reverse the files without problem - the activated Tuner will stay
Please report

I was never a huge fan of the clock in the notify bar where it is currently. On CM6-7 builds, there is/was a tool to disable it. Not finding such a tool for the tab, I proceeded to remove it myself. Below are my results.
I have removed it from the area by the battery and signal icons and placed it with the date in the pull down (see screenshots).
Install:
- Reboot into recovery
- Download attached zip file, extract and copy the services.jar file to your tools or platform-tools directory (depending on your setup)
- push services.jar to /system/framework/ on your device via adb
Code:
adb push services.jar /system/framework/
- Wipe Dalvik Cache
- Reboot
* The reboot will be longer than normal as we wiped the Dalvik Cache and it needs to be rebuilt (approx 3 mins for mine, could take as long as 10 though)*

For a flashable zip, I believe you just need folders in the zip to lead to where you want the files to go. That might be wrong thouh..

and can i simply extract the service.jar and copy it with root explorer??

and is it possible to do circle icons for all in the statusbar?? the mod is existing for the i9000... but i just forgot the modder

the "services.jar" was modfied from Overcome Rom 1.3.0
its better to replace only on Version 1.3.0 of Overcome
you can extract it and replaced it with root explorer, it works.

Update: I made different Versions for Different DPI Settings.
I modded the SMemo so that it can be used with 200/220/240/260 DPI Setting without having that ugly lines. Most of the Backgrouds should be useable
OG App was taken from the Angelrom 1.0
How to Install:
Backup your SMemo.apk from /system/app
Edit the File Name to SMemo.apk
Copy the File to /system/app
Optional: reboot

tried it, looks pretty good so far thanks.
one question though, how'd you mod the smemo apk and make the mod stick? i was changing some png's inside using 7zip, nothing else, and just pushing the apk back to the system apps folder but my modifications do not reflect. am i missing a step here?
Works good for the notes that are made from within the smemo application.
However still the same for notes that are made by opening a new note by tapping the screen twice with the pen

Tried the Mininote thing, the Note View BG must be another one. When you edit it its ok. You can then just open the Skin selector and select the same skin again then its fine

Yes. The background is back to normal when i edit the mininote. However wish it happened by default.
Gonna check it over the weekend. Wanna try and make versions for other Densitys like 200 220.
i tried , but no change with sheep rom..
i found that the file is obly 17k or so while the original is 14mb.. this could be why?

thanks I'm at 240dpi and your work is much appreciated
But I think that the work is not entirely finished..
As you can see, in some (3) wallpaper, there are still 5 brown lines
Maybe it's ok to 260, but you could fix for the 240 density
also a correct mini-notes would be much appreciated (SMemoLite.apk)
Can someone be so kind as to post the original s-memo apk (without density change) for me? I lost one of the default images--the building one--by accidentally deleting it but I like it a lot. Many thanks in advance.

i am just wondering are you sure this mod has been shared by the criskelo...why i am saying let me explain first!
1. I ported the 15 toggles mod from s3 which was done by the wannam
2, I forgotten to remove the hamster string in the code which displays "wanam lite ROM" when you click reboot, that is present in this toggle mod as well... and i am sure criskelo wont do that, becuase he himself is a developer who has written the 15 toggles code from scratch after another developer rejecting his request to use the 15 toggles mod!
3. Criskelo would have been surely removed the hamster string i.e, which i dont find it been removed!
<string name="hamster">WanamLite ROM</string>
so please confirm whether is it really been shared by the criskelo! Still no offence just request for clarification!

I idiot thought he really changed LSZ secsettings and just used it as a mod. Never thought of someone would claim a Mod by copying an old Settings apk. Grrrh...
I will switch to making the mods by myself to be sure - and if I really need the mod.
I've been working on this since yesterday.
I have a working rom with lockscreen shortcuts working now. The stock rom didn't have lockscreen shortcuts for me sadly. I'm pretty sure I have it figured out. I should be able to shed some light on these features and how to get them working later... just need to do a little more testing.

ThaiDai,
Actually this is not my mod. even i don't know how to create mods since i'm not expert. This is the SecSetting.apk copied from LSC rom. I cheched each and every options against LSC setting with LSZ & LM5. there are no changes. Eventually i thought that we can use this Secsetting to enable Lockscreen short and smart rotation, until a developer prepare base form LSZ. or we have really consider modding an Secsetting in future if Sammy added any new options into setting
Thanks

Nothing of this is stated in your OP. So a reader gets the impression that you modded it for XXLSZ yourself.
So please correct this in OP - or delete it completely because there is no own work here.

Are you able to push the .apk? I've deleted .odex, but now it fails while copying the file from OP. Currently i don't have the settings menu at all.
For me it copies around 10mb and after that it either fails or the file stays as incomplete ...
I freed some space.

This didn't work. I deleted SecSettings.apk and somehow i failed to push the one from this thread. I've restarted and now i have 10mb free and i cannot enter "Settings" to delete some as the application does not exist anymore.
Any suggestions? I see it as i'm stuck badly ...

Lol.
1. download aroma file manager on your pc (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646108)
2. reboot to recovery mode
3. mount usb
4. copy over the SecSettings.apk and aromafm.zip to your SD card
5. use aroma file manager to move your apk to the right location
6. reboot

10MB is not sufficient to push Secsetting in to System/app. Delete some Samsung bloatware such as Chaton or delete some live wallpaper (Ocean weather, Aurora etc..)

Hi guys, welcome to my GreenGlow theme, I've had this theme on all of my Xperias and now releasing it for the Z1C community.
Requirements:
.108 Firmware
Rooted
Deodexed
Know how to flash or replace files
Whats Themed:
Framework
SystemUI
Keyguard
Phonebook
Conversations
Settings
Calculator
SemcClock
Features:
Dark Apps
Themed % battery
No tabs in Notifications
Small 4 Button Navbar
Advanced Power Menu
Screenshots:
Install:
Flash with CWM or extract then copy and replace each file. After reboot set GreenGlow as the Phone theme for the theme accent colour to display.
Download:
GreenGlow.zip [43.81mb]
Restoring:
If you want to restore back to stock files, this zip will replace every modified file in the GreenGlow.zip
Restore.zip [43.07mb]
Please Note:
I love this colour so it is the only one I'll ever work on, if someone wants to colourize every modified png then feel free, all I ask is that you post your work back here in this thread and I'll happily add it to the OP. I appreciate many of you use tabs in your notification window, I don't, so you will either need to sacrifice them or modify your own SystemUI which I will happily assist you with where needed.
Dialer and phonebook are still white, otherwise all great.

Thanks. You need to decompile the stock and modified SystemUI apks, replace the navbar.xml from the layout folder in the stock SUi with the one in the modified SUi, and remove the line...
Code:
<item type="id" name="newmenu">false</item>
...from the ids.xml in the values folder. You can grab a folder with everything you need to be able to mod from [Guide/Reference] The Basic APK & Theming Thread...
thx, i'll try
and, how can i keep 2 tabs in Notifications?
