After upgrading to Marshmallow .185, the compass stopped working. Thinking that this problem was firmware-related, I downgraded to Lollipop .152 to check if the issue would still persist.
After the first boot (on .152), the compass worked again. However, it stopped working after I've attempted to use a compass app. Rebooting the device and uninstalling the compass app didn't help either.

Running the Xperia Service Test returns the image shown in the attachment.
Does anyone have an idea on how to solve this?
Thank you very much!

I've gotten too lazy finding a solution to this issue that I've just sold my Z5 at lower price and bought a Z5 Compact instead.

Hey guys,
I just got a Atrix 2 from a buddy of mine who recently upgraded phones. The screen is cracked and has 2 black spots, so I ordered a new screen and digitizer for it.
Anyways, the only other issue is that the camera does not work. I did a factory reset, and installed the ICS upgrade from android 2.3. Thinking maybe that would fix the camera not working issue. But it did not. Front camera works occasionally, but main camera never does and FC's camera app.
Is this a hardware or software issue? Are there any troubleshooting that I could try? If the camera itself is bad, I would simply install a new one while I have the phone tore down to install new screen and digitizer.
Any input or suggestions would be much appreciated guys!
Thank you!
Try installing the "Ucam" app from the playstore and check if you can open it.
Why upgraded to ICS when jellybean is already available??(I think you did system update in the setting) If the above app also dosnt work then you can try installing a jellybean rom and check..
Is your sd card properly working?
Thank you for the reply! I tried installing the camera app you mentioned, and still does not work. It force closes, unless you choose the front camera.
As for why i didn't install JellyBean, honestly ive never rooted a phone nor have i installed a rom or the like. I simply downloaded and installed the OTA update to ICS. I wouldnt even know where to begin to root or install a custom Rom to be honest lol
Is it possible the camera hardware itself is bad? I downloaded a flashlight app, and the flash does not work either.
Thanks again guys!

I also have experianced similar problems with the camera couple of times long ago..(probably when I was in ICS)
A simple reboot used to fix the issue..
I am not sure about your case.

to verify whether it is a hardware fault, i think you'd better to try several other ROMs first,
then you can have a conclusion....
Hey guys,
I sideloaded the latest OTA and then the incremental update. Facing similar issues as other people regarding battery drain. But then a friend of mine took my phone to play Asphalt 8 and it wouldn't turn the car in-game. We then tried NFS:MW and it kept the car turning right, would not change direction. I've played both the games on the previous CM 11s 25R without any issue.
Anyone else facing something similar?
is it just me? =/

Hi,
I have a 1st gen Moto G (XT1032). A few months ago, I changed my ROM from stock to CM11. The snapshot I downloaded was buggy as hell (after a few days/weeks, there wereconstantly apps stopping working), and I couldn't use my camera flashlight anymore. I then moved to Paranoid Android, which was way more stable, but the flashlight was still not working. After that, I went on the optimized stock ROM (from this topic), and a few days ago I moved on the GPE stock for Android 5.0.1 (from this topic). With these last two, everything worked perfectly, except for the camera flashlight, which still seems to be broken. Is there a way to fix it?
I've made a quick search and found only a few people with my problem, and no solution. Sorry if this question has already been asked and answered.
I'll just add to this that, at the start, when I still was using the stock ROM my XT1032 was sold with, the camera flashlight worked lovely.
Thanks for your reply(ies).
Same problem here!
Did you fix the issue for the flashlight? I haven't found anything about, it's driving me crazy...:crying:

If changing firmware hasn't fixed it, it's probably hardware

Hi all,
I have the newest MTCD firmware 5.1.1 from Malaysk installed because on stock rom my GPS failed.
Unfortunately this did not help.
Any suggestions?
Oh never mind, I discovered that hundreds of people have gps problems with Lollipop and Google does not care.
Does anyone know of a Kitkat rom for a MTCD device?
In Kitkat all worked like a charm.

i have the same problem.......
the first time my gps see 20 satellite end have a connexion with 8 of this
after this the next day i can t see noone satellite...
i don t understand why...
It is a Lollipop problem. After Google's update from Kitkat to Lollipop the gps on many users devices have gps troubles.
Mine worked also in the beginning correctly, but after 1 or 2 days no satellites are found anymore.
Since I have a MTCD device, no Kitkat roms are available.
Look here for more information: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=81140
and you have resolved the problem?????
No, Google should come with a fix, or perhaps the developers here find a solution.
Did you read the thread I included? It is a very big issue that renders our units wothless regarding navigation.
yes i read ....and i look for someone the resolve the problem with phone....not for me... i hope that google or someonelse fix the problem fast
OK, I solved my problem.
After inspecting the HU I discovered that the gps antenna connector was faulty.
So I did had 3 volt on the radio connector, but the gps connector had a loose wire.
Repaired it and problem solved.
Perhaps you have a similar problem....
thak you for information i try to look for it.....if you can .... put a picture of your work? thank you

Hello,
I have the same problem since update to Android 6.0.
I have done all OTA update and i've the lastest version from their website... but no GPS.
I have opened a ticket on their support but the answer is always :
" Hello, we are still working on it. Updates will come some days later.
Have a nice day!".
I send us 3 messages in one month and i'm still waiting from us...
Hope they will find a solution quickly !
Bye
Still no new update from ulefone, when can i use my GPS, with a stable signal?
I have the same issue. BTW: fingerprint sensor wakes up the device randomly, with no finger on it. LED lights not working even with the newest firmware.
For GPS: mobile GSM data are in conflict with GPS. There will be NO WAY how to SW fix this.
Returning this device to seller. This is the worst lack of tests prior manufacturing I have ever seen..
