Hello,
There are few devices which need unlocking the bootloader for root which in turn wipes data.

Which one are those?

[Q] Root without cfw

Hey guys, I recently got a Samsung galaxy tab 3 lite (sm-t111) and I want to root it, but I don't want a custom fw, I just want root access for some apps, is there a way to root the device, eventually unroot it (for warranty), without installing a cfw?

I've read that thread, but I saw that there are some problems with the boot loop or something?

[Completed] [Q] Tmobile Galaxy S5 root without triggering knox, warranty, lollipop questions

Going to cut it as short as I can, and I'll probably sound like a noob and annoying at the same time. Can I root my Galaxy S5 T-Mobile 4.4.2 G900TUVU1CNK2 without triggering knox? I don't want to touch anything (no rom or loader or anything) - I just want it to be rooted so I have some access.
If that can't be done, can I root and yet still send back to T-Mobile as a warranty replacement without them charging me?
If I were to root, can I still use the OTA upgrade from Lollipop once it comes out or does it have to be done a different way?

Verizon Galaxy s5

I just switched from an iPhone 6 to a Galaxy s5. I'm not a total noob, I just don't know where to go. This s5 is on Android 5. I'm looking to root it so I can install TWRP. I tried Kingroot and Towel root. The first failed twice and the second said I'm not supported. Can anyone suggest a free tool or ROM to root this phone? Thanks guys.[emoji14]

I don't know about root, but the bootloader is locked on the Verizon S5, so custom recovery is out of the question. There's a subforum specifically for the Verizon S5 here, start your research there.

New to Root to Recover Old WiFi Passwords

1. I am VERY NEW to the concept of root but if I root my Galaxy S6 to recover my old WiFi passwords and then reset it to factory settings to sell the phone, will that mess up the rooted phone?
2. How can I root my Galaxy S6 for someone who does not know technology whatsoever and doesn't want to ruin the phone?
I sincerely appreciate your time and help!!!
