Root D850 Marshmallow? - AT&T LG G3

Hai I flashed Turbo ROM and for some reason I don't have root... I have SuperSU but it says there's no su binary installed... Also I can't get into TWRP, because it hangs on the TWRP logo screen and doesn't get passed that. How can I root my device so I can fix my recovery, or the other way around? Thanks

go to play store and download supersu app. restart the phone. this will get you root. then install twrp app from google and reinstall it through app. i think this will help you get into recoery.

I already tried that :c. I ended up using the TOT method to restore 10D and worked my way through rooting it and putting a recovery on it. c: Now that the D850 has an official 6.0 update, I expect we'll see Marshmellow roots for our device c:

Just installing the supersu app does not give you root.

KingRoot gives you temporary root on stock D850 Marshmallow.
When you reboot/restart, you lose root and it takes about 3 minutes or so, using the KingRoot android app, to regain root.
The apps requiring root that I've tried have all worked without issue.
Whether you want KingRoot installed on your phone is another issue.
I haven't come across a better solution for getting root on stock D850 Marshmallow yet.

I just used the latest android app from: https://kingroot.net
http://king.myapp.com/myapp/kdown/i..._B263_office_release_2016_05_09_105203(1).apk
From the about section of the KingRoot app on my LGG3:
"KingRoot V4.9.2 143
Kernel Version v4.8.0 67 / Su version v3.61"

If KingRoot does work you could look at this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=darkslide.com.supersumepro app to remove KingRoot and install SuperSU. I have not used the app I just saw someone on Reddit report that it worked for them.

Edit2: My dumbass forgot to root w/ KingRoot first...sigh, will report back in a few..
Edit3: I don't get this..it removed kingRoot app and now I no longer have root..wtf? If I wanted King Root app uninstalled I could've just uninstalled it myself..
Edit4; Ok ..maybe I'm traveling through Dorkville right now... trying this all over agin with SuperSu in da mix..
Edit5: well, I have a brick now.. ;(

This is correct. Be careful though. Many users want to uninstall Kingroot and switch out kingusr with superuser app. Doing this may result in soft brick.

This is a old thread. Anyway you cannot root MM. You have to downgrade to root.

Actually u can use kingroot to root ur marshmallow phone. although root access is gone if u uninstall the kingroot app. Basically u get root access through kingroot. all other apps gain access through it.

For Crashxxl you need to fxz / xml (rsd) to 6/7.
It is tough, follow everything precisely.
Then you can ota to 7.2 as I understand it, & keep root.
You can get temporary root to set up various root apps including Xposed with KingRoot but it has its own hassles.
Go to the our phone general forum & you will see it.
So if I root with crash will I be able to WiFi tether using Mueller tether? Or is there another way without root I'm unlimited Verizon

Root ATT S4 On 5.0.1

Hey guys! im Cole. Im new around here .
Anyways I managed to fix my phone from a soft brick using the 5.0 OTA Update and decided to root the phone.
Also This Didn't trip Knox for me. Im on 5.0.1
NOTE: I am not responsible if you happen to brick/Break your ATT GALAXY S4 (I337)I DO NOT KNOW IF THIS WORKS ON THE I337M
Anyways on with the rooting tutorial:
Ok, On your S4 I recommend that you have the OTA Package which you can get from Here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934552137
And You should have at least 50% battery life left.
Ok. Go and download Kingroot V4.5 http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/one-click-root-tool-android-2-x-5-0-t3107461
Install it. It should say that root access is unavailable. Click on Try to root.
It takes around 3 to 5 minutes to get root access. once done you should see at the top Root Successful or something like that.
If it fails I suggest that you either try again or just give up on rooting your phone.
But since ATT Has a LOCKED Bootloader we cant install a recovery i think. Anyways I hope you guys found this tutorial working and have fun rooting.
Oh yeah I forgot: Thank You Kingxteam for providing us with kingroot

It works. I'm using it to edit my coc host file. I'll add some screen shots to this post to confirm that this works. Oh yeah. Kingroot just installs purify which I removed like any other app
I'm using my phone so I just looked up photo uploader.
I can't upload images yet since I'm new but this does work as long as it's the newer kingroot I had to reflash the 5.0update last night because I installed a recovery and as all ways it fails due the locked bootloader so I tried to root again and it works fine.

If you don't like the kingroot su binary, check out super sume in the play store. It replaces kinguser with supersu. Costs $1. Well worth it imo.

Cool story.
But, this is so simple. Instead of having to flash this and that with flashfire and safestrap, you can just go straight from lollipop, use a one click root tool, and then use another one click app to switch to SuperSU and remove the other. It's simplicity, compared to keep root method, is great. Now, if we could just get someone to figure out how to do it with one step, we'll be golden. Many are thinking there is still no way to root straight from lollipop. This works. So, if these cats can do it, then another dev can figure out how to get SuperSU injected instead of Kingroot. If that can happen, then safestrap can also be updated to work with lollipop instead of having to swap kk kernel. This is progress.
edit: When I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I tried several times to update to 0C4 after using this method. It failed every time. Then, I flashed the rooted 0C3 with flashfire and the update worked flawlessly. I wouldn't suggest this kingroot anymore to anyone. Cheers.

Just used KingRoot to root my I337 with OC4. Took a few minutes and then took off with a percentage rapidly climbing to 100%. Unfortunately for those of us who cannot read Chinese you have to feel your way through the user interface.
Here are some notes to help (I should have grabbed screen shots and will try to do so):
Make sure your PC has the I337 drivers and they work.
Enable developer mode on the I337.
Download and install the desktop version of KingRoot.
Connect the I337 to the PC with USB. Let Windows do its handshake stuff.
Launch KingRoot, it will find the phone and give you a screen (all in Chinese) showing how to turn on USB Debug mode. For English that is in Settings | More | Developer Options. Check the USB debugging box.
Phone will ask to verify the computer RSA key, accept it.
Phone also asked twice to allow Google to check for security threats. I declined both.
KingRoot will see that it can talk with the phone and do its thing.
A few minutes later I had KingRoot and root access on my 5.0.1 OC4 phone as verified with Root Checker Basic. It has survived a power cycle with battery removal.
Added screen shots from phone. Need to get some from KingRoot.
When KingRoot has everything ready you will see some Chinese text followed by Root on a blue (IIRC) button. Click that to launch the rooting.

Rooting an LG G3 D850 with Marshmallow

All the methods I have tried do not seem to work or are temporary
If I try installing SuperSU it ask me to update but the update fails or if I try using TWRP it does not reboot on its own to update and I end up not being able accomplish anything
Kingroot does work, some of the time, but it is temporary and I want something permanent
the majority of root methods I have found do not work with the d850. I do not want to install any custom roms or do anything too fancy; I just want to be able to delete bloatware and maybe use file recovery software that requires root. What can I do?
I do not think MM is rootable at the moment

You have to let the app remove kkngroot to replace it with SuperSU. Whole purpose of the app. If you remove kingroot then your removing root. You need root for the app to work. It removes kingroot and places SuperSU in its place, the only way to permanently root marshmallow on the lgg3 for now.

Install Fulmics 5.3. It's marshmallow, its stable and best of all, no AT&T bloat. You'll have to unlock the phone again, which means going back to the original G3 firmware.
