Marshmallow 6.0.1 Link2SD - Sony Xperia L

Hello everyone, I just install this ROM that works perfectly, don't have any bugs, but I want to know if there any application to move applications to the memory sd, link2sd doesn't work and format my SD as internal storage doesn't work for me, so please help.

What ROM? Why SD as internal don't work? There is a eny error message?Try RR 5.6.7. On this ROM adopted storage works perfectly for me.

I prefer using link2sd. Seems to work on rr567, but the second partition on the sdcard that's used by the link2sd is recognized as corrupted by marshmallow. Does anyone know how to force the android system not to read the second partition?

yeah, well it does not work because at re boot the second partition is mounted first by the link2sd(my) scripts and the marshmallow vold system wants to mount the partition as well and it fails spitting corrupted partition in usb storage system settings...

It's not a link2sd problem. The problem is that marshmallow mounts automatically the second partition from the sdcard at reboot, even if I ejected it before reboot. It does not remember between reboots that the partition was ejected/unmounted by the user...

I think I need to modify the fstab used by vold so it will mount automatically only the first partition on the sdcard and to ignore the second partition used by the link2sd. I know how to modify the fstab from the ramdisk, I need to search what to put in the fstab to have the desired effect...

Help! I am new to partitioning sdcard

Hello friends I am on rasheds cm10 and I want to partition my sdcard so how much of it we need to do
I have 16gb sdcard
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
I think it comes down to personal preference more than anything. I've got 2048 ext4(which some people might say is too much), 0 swap and the rest as fat32.
Also on a 16gig card.
I'm using link2sd and I know that A2sd, D2ext and Int2ext work but some scripts might not work with ext4 and the size of the ext partition might be limited.

Actually partitioning 1gb of memory is enough for our phones. And use swap if u want to have more ram. I personally perefer using ext4 as it is.the fastest out of the ext partitions.

Hi I have 1 gb for link2sd and i think that this amount is enought.
To partitioning I used mini partition tool, in this case I used ext3 because with ext4 I had a problem with another phone.
Also, keep in mind that the 1st partition should be formatted FAT32, the 2nd partition EXT, and the 3rd partition as SWAPFS (optional, only if you want to enable swap). Do not create the partitions in some other order.

Good question. Go through the normal partitioning process but set both Swap and Ext to 0mb, maybe?
EDIT: Seems Amon Ra will let you set things to 0mb.

Using minipartition tool, select partitions, delete them, later select all unallocated space created and create a new singular partition.

Just go into storage settings in normal mode and format the card, it will delete all partitions and make them as 1

With Junior Einstein method you can't delete a partition but you can only delete files that you can find in (and only) data partition.
And no, not in all partitions, this procedure delete files only in data partition, and yes, Junior Einstein method wipe the fat32 storage partition, allenwalker1998 said only data not the partition and this is correct; at the end the partiton is formatted, not deleted.
To remove/change a partition you have to use a specific tool that can be one like minipartition tool or something else.

If you use mini partition tool, you don't need to format your sd card to partitioning it. You have to use the command resize (for your actual fat32 partition) and later on created free spece use command create a new partition. I personally tested this and all my data are safe, this procedure will NOT erase your data but anyway you need a pc also to use minipartition tool and have a backup before any modification is a good idea.

If you are on Stock then maybe FAT32 partition may have worked.. or even otherwise maybe it will work,.. haven't used a FAT32 sd partition since JaggyROM 2.x.x ( obviously my 1st partition is fat32 ) ... My second partition is an ext and it is advisable to have an ext partition cause there are many scripts like int2ext , s2e, etc which work well with an ext partition...
A partition is Not necessary to made in order for other ROMs to work.. They will work just as well without a partition .. only thing is your internal memory will remain to be 150 mb.. Which is the memory allocated in our phone's nand..
NOTE: Sense 4.0a is the only ROM that you necessarily need to have an SD-EXT Partition of at least 1 GB. Otherwise it won't boot.
thanks for helping me..

do it through mini partition tool..delete the created partition..now right click on the 1st partition..slect extend..n drag the cursor till end...n click apply...done
Use Other Kernel
The reason for your second partition is not recognized is you may be at Stock Rom and Stock kernel....
Stock kernel do not support ext partitions...
Use ateeq kernel or cranium kernel for ext4 partition support....
Also use Mounts2sd instead of link2sd...!!!!
I used mounts2sd after I created sd card partition(ext3) but this app said partition not mounted; but link2sd recognised n created scripts.

3. Instal link2sd app from playstore.
4. Select Fat32

For this you don't need s-off (which anyway you can't do). Just use recovery (you already have that) and create partition. If you are using cwm, in advanced menu there is option 'repartition sd card', just follow the steps, and remember this will erase all your info from the sd, so it's better to back that up. Also you can create partition using pc with "mini tool partition wizard" google it. Another thing don't make ext partition bigger than 2GB and don't create swap partition.
That's it. Have fun
Edit: @Saumitra Yadav- damn you are fast , but what you explayned is........ why create another partition, sd card is already fat partitioned? (Maybe I'm wrong but I think link2sd also works with ext)
Edit2: Yes it needs second partition which can be fat32, but it also can be ext, so just make ext

first time in your post, I saw op's cm10, and forgot that possibility that actually stock rom doesn't support ext.
There was very long time ago when my phone haded stock rom.
already tried creating it...get an error saying that mount script cannot be created.
link2sd faq quote :
Q. I get "Mount script cannot be created. cannot create /system/etc/install-recovery.sh: not enough memory" error.
Some HTC devices are "NAND locked". On "NAND locked" (or "S-ON") devices the /system partition is write-protected by the bootloader and thus cannot be modified even if you have root privileges.
In order to use Link2SD you need to do "S-OFF" to disable this NAND lock. (a.k.a. "NAND unlock" or "unlocking the bootloader")

There are two ways to do this. 1. If you have a recovery boot loader installed in your phone, you can simply log into your recovery and select advanced and then fix permissions. Once done reboot the phone. All partitions will have their flags set back to read write execute. The other way would be what you did, redo all the partitions again. The last one only works in Linux. I'm not a Windows user so I couldn't help there.
If your a Linux user and not sure how to take ownership of a hard drive or removable drives, let me know and I'll explain it in the next post.

Im having problem with Link2sd after resizing the second partition.
What I had done:

I resized the partition to a smaller one, from 4.5 gb to 3.5.
The total filesize in this partition was under 2 gig.
Using minipartition tool I deleted the ext partition.
Resized my existing fat partition to 4 gb and created ext partition with rest of the space
Ext partition was created as primary.
Now I copied back all the files from desktop to sd card.
But everytime I start with my sdcard, Samsung logo keeps showing after boit sound.
I waited for 5 minutes but nothing happnd.
I started without sdcard. And tried recreating mount script. But the same problem.
How to overcome this problem. Do I need to start from the beginning? ?

The operation to link storage to ext partition is scripted. Ext4 partition has to be formatted once after installing the script to work properly. Link2SD performs this when setting up. You can try formatting the SD-Ext partition using your custom recovery but i suppose you will have to set up the ext partition again usning Link2SD
