I've searched for and can't find a thread on rooted Galaxy S7 edge for USA variants. Can you point me in the right direction? For those that have root.. Is it just for no American phones?

Is there a mod to enable FM Radio (SM-G935F) Exonys?

Just read there is a firmware update to enable FM radio on US variants and receive broadcasts using the NextRadio app.
Is there something like this can be done for the Exonys models?
It''s the one thing missing that would make this handset perfect, then I could stop taking my Nokia N91 with me.
From what I could understand it's a feature of the snapdragon chipset, so no.
While the S3 (I9300) with exynos had it, the Qualcomm (I9305) didnt lol.
There is no FM or IR blaster in S7
There is. read the 4.may update of the t mobile us version. Someone posted. It mention fm radio.
We could try it with nextradio app for example when the update arrives on the exynos version

Is the NextRadio app USA only?, it doesn't appear on the UK Play Store with the S7e.

Its an internet radio feature (software) which comes as a package from the service provider.
Update
Its a hardware which was disabled by carriers and now after the update its alive without the need for data to tune radio
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
We don't know if the Exynos even has an FM Radio module. The Bluetooth chipset commonly used with Qualcomm phones has FM but is either usually disabled either in software or even hardware

have a duo (g935fd) and am bit angry having no fm ukw radio.
As someone who works in a radio station its a must have.
And I need a duo sim too...
And duo sim s7 edge only have Exynos 8890.
so that sucks.
Any Kernel mod that solves the Problem is apriciated. Hit me up if there is a solution for sm-g935fd just rooted because thought i would find a mod. ??

The snapdragon driver that shipped with the S7E does not drive the radio in the CPU.
However, a recent hack of the CPU driver means all carriers must update....and that update includes the portion of the driver that enables the radio.
So update your phone, provided by your carrier, and then you'll have a radio on your S7 edge

Anyway to add Mobile data toggle on stock, Canadian Galaxy S7?

I have a G930W8, canadian variant. Generally canadian samsung phones, starting from the S4 onwatds never have a mobile data toggle. You used to be able to use SQlite editor and add one in if you were rooted, but thats no longer possible on the S7. if theres anyone out there that knows how to add one, either by an apk or rooting, please let me know!
Install the Samsung Good Lock app from the Galaxy site and it includes a mobile data toggle.

Gear S2 BAD ESN

Hello, i want to buy Gear s2, but it has bad esn on at&t. Will it work as an ordinary smartwatch without 3g features or will it be blocked?
You should be able to turn off cellular connectivity, and use Bluetooth to use it as a non 3G version.

International Exynos S7/Edge on T-Mobile USA

I hope I'm posting this in the right place, anyway I plan on switching from an iPhone 6s Plus to either an S7 or S7 edge. And from what I understand the international version of the S7 with Exynos processor is A LOT better in terms of battery life and performance and I would prefer to get this version over the Snapdragon. I know it's possible to do but I have a few questions.
1) Is the coverage the same? Will I get any dropped signals/calls?
2) Will I still get LTE?
3) What exact model of the international version will I need for the best compatibility? (there's an sm-G930F model but I know there are others)
4) Is there any way to get VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling to work?(by flashing or anything else? I've seen some people on XDA have gotten some of these features to work. I don't care about Samsung pay so if there's no way to get that working it's ok)
5) Will I have any other issues pulling this off or should it be relatively easy?
Yes it will work as bands are supported
