Bored with various apps that make your phone charge faster?
Want to stop charging your phone's battery when connected to USB?
You are a developer that often connect their phone via USB and don't want the battery to suffer?
Disable USB Charging will disable usb charging (obviously..). Allowing you to connect your phone via USB without straining your battery again and again and again.

Please mention your Android version and ROM if it's not working for you. Thank you.

I need to enable fast charge/AC on USB and keep it enable to communicate via USB. I need my tablet to charge as connected to AC and be able to transfer files in the same way as if I connect to a PC.
I will have a AC adapter in the middle powering the device 5V/2A, so I wont burn my PC USB port (I wont drain any power from the PC, just the D+/D-/GND Lines...). I know that I should not connect the tablet directly to a PC once I do this.
I have my device rooted, but I do not want to use a custom kernel. Is there anything I can change on my kernel to do this?
Once I think I saw some change that I must do in a system file to be able to do this, but I'm unable to find it now...
Thanks for any tip,

Is there a way to charge an android device while it is connected to the PC?
Assume the device is draining its battery very fast due to some video or gaming activity and the PC cannot keep battery level stable. I would like to connect it to a USB charger at the same time, does such an adapter exists? I am afraid of damaging the PC or the tablet.
It is important to note that I don't need the android to work in hosting mode (OTG) but just for file transfer and adb port forwarding.
Hello all,
To put it simple:
1. I buy oneplus power bank
2. Charge it with my original opo cable and charger
3. My oneplus didnt recognized as storage when connected to PC yet it is shown in charging state.
What I have tried:
1. enable disable usb debugging
2. select usb connection mode (mtp or charging or pnp) but it is not available
3. Recognized as storage using other cable data which havent been used to charged the power bank.
My question is : is it normal that your data cable will broken as soon as you use it as power bank's charging cable?
Nope, I think that's virtually impossible, have you tried using other cable to connect your phone with the PC?
Hi All,
I have a j710fn since 1 year, but lost my bill, so no warranty.
I applied the last rom by OTA. (7.0). All is working great. Very good phone, etc.
But, I can’t charge it, and the usb isn’t recognized when the phone is on.
When the phone is on:
- On wall charger: no charge.
- Connected with computer: no charge, no usb connection.
- Tried all USB options (AP/USB debug, charge, etc.) : no charge.
When the phone is off:
- When I plug the usb cable, it recognized the usb, and display the battery icon (with thunder) during 2 sec, and hide without display green charge.
Only the battery:
- The battery charge well with a lion charger.
- The android application “ampere” show battery is OK
- When charged, the battery powered my phone during few days.
In recovery mode:
- Wipe cache / data partition work well, but show /misc partition not found ( as some phone with Oreo).
In download mode:
- Odin work via usb.
- I download a Nougat rom and applied, but the problem is still here.
- I did again the OTA update to Oreo, same problem.
Hardware:
- The USB connector seem great.
- The mainboard is OK
- The battery connector is OK.
I think its’a problem with the rom that manage the charge. Many thinks are in /misc , as the usb controller informations, etc.
I tried all Samsung code to have more information, but all seems OK.
Do you have any solutions?
I am using a usb tethering app for Internet access between 2 phones, and my host phone's battery rapidly drains through the usb connection.
I tried an app to disable charging the other phone and this disconnected the data.
From my search I understand android requires voltage in the usb cable to make a data connection. Seems to discharge at 500 mA by default.
Is there a way to stop or reduce the discharge to a minimum, just enough to maintain data connectivity? An app or magisk or xposed module? Some terminal commands? Both devices have root access.
I have also tried usb ethernet connectivity which also causes a similar rapid draining of the host device battery.
