When using voice to txt for creating a text message the S2 doesn't respond correctly, and takes a long time to recognize anything said. Anyone else having issues and know of any fixes?
Same problem. Please let me know if you get more info on the issue.

I'm an avid user of Google Talk (or Gtalk as they say) because of the snappy way it delivers messages to my friends over 3G rather than normal SMS messages.
The problem I've had with Gtalk though is that ever since the March version of Gapps from Cyanogen there seems to be a bug that keeps repeating old phrases i've already messaged.
For example:
I'll type, "Hi" to someone, and then directly after I start typing... problem is that "Hi" comes up in my dialogue box before whatever new thing I'm typing. So my message looks like this:
Me: Hi
Me: Hiwhats up?
And so forth, and it'll continue forever, unless I leave around a 3 second waiting period before entering more text. Anyone else have this problem? Fixes for this?
Thanks!
I get this as well
I'm sure everyone that owns an s2 knows what im talking about.
there have been loads of threads online with people asking for solutions, and i cannot believe there isnt a solutuion to it?
Surely someone knows how to remove the sms/mms log from the Call Log.
Its by default set to ALL LOGS. i can obviously view just missed calls or just received calls etc, but it should be default be set to just CALLS (like 99% of all phones that have ever existed have)! i dont quite get why samsung added sms/mms to the log.
I am running villainrom 2.0, gingerbread 2.3.4 Kernel 2.
Also i used villaintweaks. there is a tweak which says
prevent logging of SMS/MMS to call log (jufo)
that seems like just the ticket!
i installed it with villaintweaks, rebooted the phone. but upon reboot every time i try to access the call log, phone shows up an error and i have to end the task.
I re-installed the rom and tried the tweak loads of times with no luck.
can anyone here please help?
thanks in advance
Anyone got a scooby about this?
It's highly bloody annoying to have all those texts swamping the call log...

No idea, but as a fellow Brit it's nice to hear some rhyming slang on the forum!

galaxy message logs pain
Just go to contacts. then click on option button. Then click by view by. Then pick on "sent messages" or "receved messages" You delete what you want. and your done. Thank me later.
Does anyone have an issue with text messages not being sent? Oftentimes I will send a message and then immediately get a message that it was not sent. It will try 3-4 more times. I can "solve" this by opening up the browser which activates the data connection, and then the message is sent no problem.
It's been a bit annoying so just wondering if anyone else has seen this. I actually had this issue with my G2 as well so maybe I need a new SIM?
I also have this issue, though sometimes it seems related to a particular text, because if I send another one, with different writing, it will frequently send and then allow the other to send as well.

Hi,
How many bars are you showing?
The only time mine did not send was when there was no signal(duh?)
The rest of the time it's fine and quick.
Maybe it's time for a new sim.
How old is yours?
I faced that
recently found the problem !
I didn't pay the bill
I've noticed that every now and then when I send an SMS in Hangouts, the app doesn't refresh/scroll down and I can't see the message I just sent. To see it, I need to manually scroll down, and requires me to reboot the phone for it to work automatically again.
Anyone else experience this/know a fix?
Hey guys. I'm using hangouts but this happens with any SMS program. My phone vibrates as if I received a text, but the text never appears. Ex: earlier my girlfriend texted me, the phone vibrated, but I never saw the text and it's not there.
I've tried updating PRL and Profile, switching sms programs, everything I can think of. Is anyone else having this problem.
Using Cataclysm btw.

Try deleting all sms apps, except ie. Hangouts. Make sure Hangouts is configured to receive textmessages. Send a message to your phone and check which app gives you a notification.
You can also try sms backup and restore app to see if there are any textmessages on your phone.
Tried all that but thanks! Just did the backup and there's no messages that aren't in my sms program. Frustrating
Has anyone else had this problem occur?

question: are most of the texts you look to receive, coming from apple iphones?
Apple's Revenge: iMessage Might Eat Your Texts If You Switch To Android
"When my best friend upgraded from an iPhone 4S to a Galaxy S4, I texted her hello. Unfortunately, she didn't get that text, nor any of the five I sent in the following three days. My iPhone didn't realize she was now an Android user and sent all my texts via iMessage. It wasn't until she called me about going to brunch that I realized she wasn't getting my text messages. What I thought was just a minor bug is actually a much larger problem. One that, apparently, Apple has no idea how to fix. Apple said the company is aware of the situation, but it's not sure how to solve it. One Apple support person said: 'This is a problem a lot of people are facing. The engineering team is working on it but is apparently clueless as to how to fix it. There are no reliable solutions right now — for some people the standard fixes work immediately; many others are in my boat.'"
No, no one this is happening with has an iPhone or ever did. All pure android accounts. And I sure as heck never had an iPhone
Try it with another SIM card in your phone and put your card in another phone, heck, just switch cards with your girlfriend's phone and see what happens
