And it begins....the Post-Update threats.
There is a reason there is a theme store, this is an issue even the rooting community can't help you with. Not having root make no different in getting rid of that ugly, white looking blue haze theme samsung call a theme lol, and the themes accessible even rooted aint no different if not worst. All I can tell you is to look back in the theme store, and find something more soothing to your eye.
Lol oh geez, theme store. Also, for a flat black theme, i suggest Krylon #7 Flat Black, available at any Lowe's or Home Depot...don't use that generic **** from Walmart tho, it'll eat your screen up, but 1 or 2 good squirts on the center of your screen SHOULD give you the desired darker themeing! Also, to darken your device on a framework level, attach the plastic "straw" that comes with your NAME BRAND Krylon to the spray to, then holding the can firmly insert the other end into the headphone jack and give a 3 second shot, this will ensure your darker themeing is applied from the inside out and no portion of your user experience is too light or bright!

Eh, does appear to be different. Disregard.
That theme is built on the Samsung framework so things like the lockscreen cannot be ported. I dont know how much of this theme you are hoping to get onto your phone.
I will take a look at it and see what i can do. Will post back in a day or two with my findings. As said above the lockscreen probably cant be ported but i can probably port most of the rest.
Edit: after looking at the origonal thread it looks like this had a lor of custom elements. Before I even atrempt work on this I am going to have to message the creator and talk to them.additionally many of the menus can not be ported as is.
What are people looking for if I do take this ona besides the notification bar and icons and a few other minor pieces not sure it can be done.
dammit, i really like that lock screen, ,how come samsung has the good stuff. Is it impossible to port that lock screen over?
I'm using this one, and its awesome:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943423
The lockscreen is part of the framework, the same way the sense lockscreen is part of the sense framework. You would mainly be able to change images like the status bar and menu items.

That honeybread theme is great. Didn't know haxzamatic did that.
I linked off that page to this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943071 <--Great CM7 themes.
The Blue Bionic and Orange Octane are beautiful. Love the notification dropdown, finally no more "bright" power widget.

Now this theme is still in its infancy, even after about a month and half’s worth of work put into. Trial and error is not always the most enjoyable thing in the world. But I and Gianfranco (@gbianchi) have put in several hours of work into the theme, between creating images to xml edits. But since we are slowly nearing the completion of an open beta, we felt it was time that maybe we should actually share some screens of what we have been working on.
The premise behind this theme is to create a white simplistic theme with slight color hints throughout. I can’t leave out that perhaps some things might have a slight edge to them. Also, we are trying to completely create a custom framework experience, along with doing the same to each apk. So withouth further ado here is a few screens. (Please note that some of the apks in these images are still being tweaked and worked on.

Thanks....
this looks rather sleek, i wouldn't use it though, white hurts my eyes in the night, plus i wanna save battery.

I just got my N1 in yesterday so I have already started on the process...
I cannot do this theme to be part of the Theme Engine for CM7..
There are far to many xml edits in each individual apk and framework that require it to be done as an update.zip

Been looking fir something like this. We jeered now white themes. Can you make this for the "THEME CHOOSER"? That way everybody can use it.
Edit just read your response. Well that sux.
You could always put it in the android theme section and see if somebody else could make it work in theme chooser.
nicceee.... I wouldnt mind flashing this over cm 7 on my N1.......waiting anxiously

Hi all!
I have created a new theme called 'Stockify' for EMUI4+ devices. It has a few interesting things...
Where possible all icons are replaced by their stock Android equivalent
Other icons are replaced with fully licenced icons from icons8
The theme is deployed via the Play Store - you will be automatically notified of updates and it will take you through the install and update process
The install / update tool will be open source shortly for all EMUI theme developers
The theme is currently in Beta, I will be stockifying a lot more, but you can have a play now!
Simply download from the Play Store at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.olabs.theme.stockify
Enjoy!

Wow mod :laugh:
Amazing work, mate.
Is there a way to make the lock screen more stock like?
thanks!
Could you make closed folder background slightly opaque? For me, when it's completely transparent, I can't quite make out the icons with some wallpapers.
It's nice to see you again doing stuff for the phone I own (I had the ZTE Blade years ago, I think it's still in my drawers somewhere).
Haven't tested, as I love my icon pack too much, but to achieve stock look this seems easier than the tedious "by process icon renaming" involved in emui theming.

That's not an ideal solution, as the icons for the stock apps are terrible without anything applied.
I use a similar approach but not quite the same.

Would you know an easy way to transfer an icon pack onto an emui theme ? This by-process renaming thing is depressing after 10 icons.
What format is the icon pack in?

As I told you on Twitter, Polish diacritics are broken in that theme.
Everything is OK with the theme linked below:

Hi all.
I own Honor 8 Lite and today I recieved a new Oreo 8.0 update. With this update some things changed on my phone, and I really hate the new "colors" which are in my notifications bar and when i open like settings, because they weren't like that. So I've tried to find a way to change this, but even changing theme doesn't have an effect. And that is why I am here, I was hoping that some of you guys might help me take care of this color thing.
First, I'll post photos how things are now, and then how things were.

See how I got that new gray-ish color if something is activated, and I used to have that nice blue, and I want to switch back to it, same with settings on top where I got that ugly new color, and I had that white-ish.

Strange, the second screenshots look more like oreo to me xD
Have you tried to find a theme that changes settings colours? Try and download themes manager for huawei app from play store and pick a dark theme from there and see if it changes anything.
I don't reccommend trying substratum themes on emui as it will most likely break something important.
You could also try and check for any updates from huaweiappgallery.
Also, how did you recieve the update? Through official OTA or via some other custom method? If you used HuRupater let me know as I think i know how to fix it in that case.
Yes, that second picture is Oreo from my friend's phone, but I know that mine Nougat was something like that, without this new color, but that doesn't really bothers me that much. Thing that I really hate is that I don't have that nice blue color on my notifications bar..
I got update via system update, didn't do anything
I got an S10+ and want to use the dark mode. As you know, the dark mode won't work with themes.
One workaround would be to get a dark theme but the downside is that since you can't use dark mode, lots of apps won't be able to run in dark mode.
Here's the dark theme I tried and loved:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So I thought about using Samsung's theme with dark wallpaper.
The only issue with Samsung's theme is that I hate the default icons.
So I found that you can download and install only a custom icon pack and still have the dark mode on. Found an icon pack I liked. Great.
The issue now is that the FOLDERS on the home page look hideous and don't flow with the look.
Take a look at the four folders on the home page and compare them to how the folders look in the previous screenshot with the theme.
Is there any way to get the folders to look nicer without installing a custom theme?

Ok, I looked at it. All the themes I saw require a different launcher. I tried Nova but wasn't happy with it.
You can still edit the folder background color from inside the folder. (next to were you name the folder)
