Hi all!
I have created a new theme called 'Stockify' for EMUI4+ devices. It has a few interesting things...
Where possible all icons are replaced by their stock Android equivalent
Other icons are replaced with fully licenced icons from icons8
The theme is deployed via the Play Store - you will be automatically notified of updates and it will take you through the install and update process
The install / update tool will be open source shortly for all EMUI theme developers
The theme is currently in Beta, I will be stockifying a lot more, but you can have a play now!
Simply download from the Play Store at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=uk.co.olabs.theme.stockify
Enjoy!

Wow mod :laugh:
Amazing work, mate.
Is there a way to make the lock screen more stock like?
thanks!
Could you make closed folder background slightly opaque? For me, when it's completely transparent, I can't quite make out the icons with some wallpapers.
It's nice to see you again doing stuff for the phone I own (I had the ZTE Blade years ago, I think it's still in my drawers somewhere).
Haven't tested, as I love my icon pack too much, but to achieve stock look this seems easier than the tedious "by process icon renaming" involved in emui theming.

That's not an ideal solution, as the icons for the stock apps are terrible without anything applied.
I use a similar approach but not quite the same.

Would you know an easy way to transfer an icon pack onto an emui theme ? This by-process renaming thing is depressing after 10 icons.
What format is the icon pack in?

Png's ! (With app name, just not the damn process name you have to look for).

As I told you on Twitter, Polish diacritics are broken in that theme.
Everything is OK with the theme linked below:

Yes but the font in Paul's theme had broken Polish letters. I had to look for another theme.
Thanks

Just something fun I whipped up... includes some basic iPhone icons i created from various screenshots of the iPhone 4 as well as a pretty nice iPhone-esque rain drops wallpaper.
Enjoy!

yes, it does require root.

Sorry guys, I should have been more clear. All this consists of is icons and a wallpaper. To achieve the "look" you need a few simple non-root programs such as better cut and folder organizer to change the icons. I also used adw launcher to get the iPhone styled app drawer and the dock you see in the screenshot.
Absolutely no root required!
I use ADW Launcher aslo but I cannot figure out for the life of me how you got 4 icons on the bottom like that. I mean the quick launch icons at the bottom.
you need to disable the page dots, then you are able to select the choice to add 2 more buttons in the place of the dots.
Excellent. I have it now...one more question...how do I replace the dialer? I have all the other icons replaced but when I go to create a new shortcut I do not see dialer as an app?

on the Incredible you will have to select new "Activity" in BetterCut and it is listed as Phone in there.
Excellen thanks. I found it under activities and it was called phone.
Cool work. Looks good...it was only a matter of time until someone wanted their incredible to look like an iPhone. Lol oh the irony! Because when you hold it...it gets reception
I did it just for fun... i switch between ADW.Launcher (my iPhone theme) and LauncherPro (My Android theme) just to switch it up. To be honest, when using the Android iPhone theme I always feel like that is how the iPhone OS should have been!
hey rocket man! do you have a page with all your icons?
all of the ones i ported are in the zip file. i'm thinking about making a "goodies" page on Grafixpressions.com where all of our fun stuff will be posted, but it may take me some time to set that up!

I used Desktop Visualizer to set the icons on the desktop. I tried Bettercut at first and it didn't seem happy and crashed.
I like that XDA wallpaper. Where can I get it? Is it in the screen shot thread?
here's the wallpaper in a ZIP, i made this a while ago for the forum.
Much appreciated! Gotta rep XDA.
Thanks H0ckey..You rock man...
few more iconz

Hi H0ckey, how to apply these icons?
Thanks for your advanced
Purchase Bettercut from the market.
What it basically does is it allows you to create short cuts for apps and what not and it allows you to pick what a picture for it.
its like in windows, you create a short cut for an app, then you can right click and change the icon in properties. same idea. works for all platforms, but ofcourse, read the comments first.

I too would like to hear more options than bettercut. I can't remember the name but i'm pretty sure there are some better, easier functionality than bettercut, also free. Anybody with this app, TIA
I use folder organizer. Alot easier to use and I never have the issues that I had with bettercut.
Thanks for all answers. I´ll try later.
Best regards
So i just saw this awesome honeycomb theme , over at the samsung forums, and i was wondering if someone could port this to CM7 For our evo's., this has to be one of the best themes out there, very clean and unique.

Eh, does appear to be different. Disregard.
That theme is built on the Samsung framework so things like the lockscreen cannot be ported. I dont know how much of this theme you are hoping to get onto your phone.
I will take a look at it and see what i can do. Will post back in a day or two with my findings. As said above the lockscreen probably cant be ported but i can probably port most of the rest.
Edit: after looking at the origonal thread it looks like this had a lor of custom elements. Before I even atrempt work on this I am going to have to message the creator and talk to them.additionally many of the menus can not be ported as is.
What are people looking for if I do take this ona besides the notification bar and icons and a few other minor pieces not sure it can be done.
dammit, i really like that lock screen, ,how come samsung has the good stuff. Is it impossible to port that lock screen over?
I'm using this one, and its awesome:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943423
The lockscreen is part of the framework, the same way the sense lockscreen is part of the sense framework. You would mainly be able to change images like the status bar and menu items.
Hoping all is going smoothly for the person attempting this

That honeybread theme is great. Didn't know haxzamatic did that.
I linked off that page to this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=943071 <--Great CM7 themes.
The Blue Bionic and Orange Octane are beautiful. Love the notification dropdown, finally no more "bright" power widget.

If any developer here can make 8bit theme or font would be awesome. I miss those days where everything was pixelated, but on HD displays I think it would look awesome. I already turned my phone desktop into 8bit style.

How did you get that font?!?! I have cyanogenmod installed..
I found a font called Minecraftia somewhere on a website, downloaded it and created a theme with ThemeDIY, I can share the apk if you'd like. It has a few downsides though, there's no difference between big, small and bold letters, so sometimes it looks a bit weird.
Here's the apk, you can just apply the font from within the theme settings.
This one looks better... Now if only I could find a way to change the navigation bar and the other icons easily...

This is what I made of it, you can add the pictures in Softkeyz, just make sure you crop the images to whatever you like in the app.

That's a lot more work since there are a lot more icons too much at the moment. Btw I don't know how to properly make a cyanogenmod theme (I tried to put the navkeys in one and failed...). But of course someday I'll succeed hopefully!
I got an S10+ and want to use the dark mode. As you know, the dark mode won't work with themes.
One workaround would be to get a dark theme but the downside is that since you can't use dark mode, lots of apps won't be able to run in dark mode.
Here's the dark theme I tried and loved:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So I thought about using Samsung's theme with dark wallpaper.
The only issue with Samsung's theme is that I hate the default icons.
So I found that you can download and install only a custom icon pack and still have the dark mode on. Found an icon pack I liked. Great.
The issue now is that the FOLDERS on the home page look hideous and don't flow with the look.
Take a look at the four folders on the home page and compare them to how the folders look in the previous screenshot with the theme.
Is there any way to get the folders to look nicer without installing a custom theme?

Ok, I looked at it. All the themes I saw require a different launcher. I tried Nova but wasn't happy with it.
You can still edit the folder background color from inside the folder. (next to were you name the folder)
