Wifi antenna location - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
My wifi seems a bit slow and I wanted to check the antenna connection. I've opened the back of the tablet and looked under all parts but can't seem to find the antenna. Can any tell me where it is?
Here's a picture of the tablets, can anyone point out where the antenna is?
(can't post pictures )

You are absolutely sure that opening the back of the tablet and after wasting the warranty you'll mess with the wifi antenna it'll magically boost your speed? Well if you're sure then you will find wifi antenna under that little silver plate beside the silver camera plate (probably need soldering open at your own risk!!!) By the way I think there are other ways to improve wifi speed. I believe your problem can be fixed if you describe it more properly...you said wifi is slow you could get a better router or place it at a better spot but are you sure that wifi is only slow on the note pro not on any other device? (Use internet speed test to be sure) Thanks for reading.Glad to help!

The antenna is at the top of the left speaker but when the rear case was removed and the LCD is facing down, left speaker is on the right.
The white metal part is antenna, it's on the right side of this picture

Below is the 4 points of contact to mainboard
But I don't think you can do anything with the antenna to improve Wifi signals

"And if someone know for what are the other two antennas, please tell me."
the good bet would be
wifi
and gps
Top Left: Wifi / Bluetooth
Top Right: GPS
Bottom: GSM / 3G
You should note these stickers are complete bull. The FCC has gone as far as to sue several manufacturers of them.
Also when you view videos on youtube of them "working" here's the gist of it.
They place the sensor of the Digital EMF Meter directly behind the sticker. If the sticker is made from TIN or LEAD, then yes you will see a reduction directly behind the sticker.
This doesn't mean your phone is actually emitting less radiation. In fact it might be emitting MORE into your face, as the sticker is placed on the back, and merely refracts the radiation.
@ Rudegar - I know that the other two are for the GPS and WiFi,but I which is for the GPS and which is for the WiFi
@ @Class - Thank you a lot

GPS FIX Samsung G SIII

100% functioning
As with practically any other device, the Samsung Galaxy S3 has its fair share of complaints. Some have workarounds, some can be solved with mods or apps, and some seem to have no fix at all.
One common issue on the GS3 is that the GPS won't seem to work at all, refuses to lock onto any satellites, or frequently loses the connection, making it pretty much useless. But there does seem to be a quick (and somewhat unthinkable) solution to this—tightening a few screws.
You don't even have to take the battery out for this!
Just pop off the back cover on your GS3 using a flat head screwdriver, spudger, or your fingernail. Around the phone's edges, there are 10 screws. Use a small Phillips screwdriver to tighten them as much as you can.

}
Once you're finished, put the back cover back on and try out your GPS again. You should be able to get a lock on more satellites along with faster navigation and less signal dropping.
If you start to notice issues again, just retighten the screws, just like you would for that wobbly dining room table that always needs retightened.
It may be annoying, but it's free and a lot quicker than getting a new phone. And this should be your first DIY fix tried before resulting to installing new ROMs, flashing back to stock, trying aGPS patches, editing your gps.conf file, uninstalling/reinstalling Maps, etc.
Did this trick work for you? Let us know in the comments below.

Umm, you're about 4 days late on this one. There is already a thread announcing this fix:

Broken black coaxial antenna motherboard connector..

Hi
Was replacing screen on my nexus 5 and when I removed the black coaxial antenna cable from the motherboard, the wee soldered attachment came away from the motherboard, attached to the end of the cable
The attachment is broken. So now I have the intact cable end and the motherboard with no place to reattach coaxial cable onto..
Can solder straight onto the motherboard?
Help!
Thanks
Gav
You can try resoldering the part to the motherboard but I'm not sure how good the connection will be afterwards.
I have the same problem! When I tried to remove the back cover, I accidentally broke the coaxial connector.
I have learned that the white (left) cable is the 4G antenna, and the black is the 3G antenna, I was thinking about switching the white over the black one, because a don't really use 4G network anyway...
Can someone with the Knowledge tell me it's ok to do so? Otherwise i'll have to buy the pair of antennas.
Thanks,
What did you do to fix it Banterbanter?
--- UPDATE ---
I said what the hell, let's do it... I removed the black cable, and installed the white one, it's for the 4G frequencies so the cable is slightly long, but i folded it a little bit, and closed everything, and BAM it works!!!
Hi! Same thing happened to me. The little board connector (seen in the picture) where the antenna cable connects to has snapped. Some call it "antenna connection point".

Does anyone know how to properly fix this? Do these connectors exists as spare parts? Can they be soldered? Thanks for your help!
Thank you. Temporary fix till I get new replacement antennas.

Does anyone know what this flex cable is for on the back of the Nvidia Shield LTE Tablet ? I broke mine by accident while opening the cover but everything seems to be working so far .
Please guys - I know this device is dated but someone here has to know what this is .

Thank you very much for responding . Today I had to go out and do stuff around town so I tried the LTE at a couple of different spots . I wasn't able to get 4g but could get 3g/ H/ H+ . Youtube played fine and didn't even buffer so I was getting a decent signal . It's interesting that you said this is the LTE antenna because I've never gotten the promised "LTE speeds " on this device . I know this is an old issue and lot's of Nvidia tablet owners researched and tried to fix this . My question to you is rather than replacing the OEM LTE antenna , do you think updating the antenna altogether would help resolve the LTE non connectivity issue that plagued this device ?

Question Unusual port on top of Pixel 7 Pro

On the top edge of the 7 Pro to the right of the camera there is a wired oval cutout in the frame. What is this? In the teardown video it looks like this sits right over the 5G antenna, so it is just to improve radio quality?
Yeah it's to make sure the signal reception is unobstructed
That's crazy I didn't even notice the cut out on the phone or the case.
I noticed it but I didn't think much further on it. I have too much going on already as it is.
My understanding is that it's needed to allow the mmWave antenna to work, so only the Pro and the Verizon (and possibly AT&T) models of the non-Pro have this cutout.
They actually made it smaller and made it match the frame so it's much less noticeable than the same window on the 6 models.

I just noticed that myself when applying a new slim case which had a cutout on this spot which got me curious. Ive purchased three cases and only one of them had a cutout where this antenna is located
It's definitely for mmWave, which just goes to show you how much of a gimmick mmWave is if a case could meaningfully hinder reception.

Agree! Personally I think mmWave is useless. Fog will block the signal (being facetious here) but really I wonder how many people in the grand scheme of things are actually using mmWave? Or feel that it is even necessary?
