Phone has been working great for 3 days on MM. Plugged it in to charge last night, and this morning, unplugged the charger from it. Green charged light stayed on and phone didn't wake up. Had to use the recovery power down (vol down + power) and selected power off. Green charged light still on. Held power to turn it on, gets the quick vibrate and stays at the Samsung Galaxy note 5 screen. I can use the recovery power down, and bring it up in Odin mode. I cannot get it to boot to the recovery menu with the clear cache etc. And after sitting 2 1/2 hours, it's still at the note5 screen

You mean you can't even hold the volume up button and home button plus the power button to get in?

Um what did you Odin it with? Which file?? You're not supposed to try and go backwards from MM on a locked bootloader..
The Odin files for the latest mm from Sammobile. Same version the phone was working fine on before I woke up to it locked this. morning.
I'm not a retard, and know you can't go backwards with the Verizon bootloaders

I didn't say you were a retard but I hope you figure that issue out.
sorry... was frustrated. On the one menu I could get to, power and vol down, I even tried factory reset... it reboots right back to the note 5 splash screen... got online to samsung since the phone is only 7 months old. on it's way to Plano, TX for repair/replace.

I have been running the ICS leak on my sky rocket since it came out, with no real problems making the phone un-useable.
Starting yesterday, my phone would randomly restart and would reboot to the samsung logo. Once it hits the at&t splash screen it will vibrate and reboot all over again until I pull the battery and restart the phone.
Now today the same incident occurred, and pulling the battery is not fixing the issue. When I put the battery in, it will just continue the loop of the samsung logo.
No flashing since I installed ICS months ago, only change would be installing random apps in the play store.
I'm unable to enter recovery, and when I get to the download screen it just reboots after showing a blue screen.
Pretty lost on what else to try with this phone.
Vol+ and vol- and power hold them down
Or vol- plug in usb

No dice, even tried a backup battery that was fully charged in a external charger.
Same result

Have you tried forcing DL mode when it's already plugged into a computer? Pull battery, plug usb into computer and phone, hold vol + and -, put battery back in. That might keep you in DL mode. Good luck

Popped off the frame, but had to run out before actually doing any tinkering.
So screwed it back together before I left, and now the phone works perfectly fine.
*shrug*
Thanks for the assistance guys

So, my sister infuse recently got into boot loop. I couldn't get into download mode with all the 3 buttons method, so I decided to get a usb jig. It arrived today but once it enters download mode it leaves it after a couple seconds so I can't even plug the usb cable into it. I tried charging the phone for 6 hours but when I plug it in, it goes in a charge loop where it resets and shows the charging circle every couple of second. Anybody know any other tips that made help? I'm thinking it turning to a hardware brick instead of a software brick.
It's possible your power button is messed up...
Also you tried download mode wrong...three fingers is for recovery...
Download mode:
Pull battery
Put battery back in
Hold volume up+down
Plug USB cord with heimdal or Odin running on pc
You should now be in download mode
Here's a thread about the possible power button prob...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1764079

Yes it turned back on! But the screens turns fuzzy from time to time. I'm gonna do a full wipe and see what happens.
If nothing else does the trick, I sent mine to Samsung and they fixed it for free no shipping or nothing just FREE

Looks to me the power button is gone. I had similar symptoms when the power button stopped working.

So last night I plugged in my Verizon GSIII into the charger, and this morning, when I went to it to turn it on, it booted up, had the Samsung Logo, the Cyanogenmod animation... and shuts off. I tried to power off and power on three more times, and even put it into recovery, but the phone shuts off even before it allows me to do this. I tried again, with 3 different batteries to no results.
You guys have any ideas?
Should I try for a ADB connection?
Since technically my warranty is voided after root, I don't think Samsung will be too pleased if I ask for a replacement :/.
Oh, and since I'm sort of a noob, and if this is an obvious cause or something, I apologize
Thanks!
If you can goto download mode, then you can flash stock firmware. But just check the flash counter.

Recently rooted it, installed Xposed, installed a module for smooth status bar or something, did a soft reboot and now it won't do anything.
Xposed doesn't seem to be working all the well with this for of root.

Been through the Evo, Thunderbolt, DNA and now the M8 is my first brick. I suppose I could say I lost it and hopefully the warranty will cover it.

Yes if your phone freezes after choosing soft reboot in xposed just hold "volume up & power" til you see the HTC logo on screen

Not a brick unless you some how found a way around write protection or an unrelated hardware issue
Do a hard reboot via holding power for 60 seconds

So you are essentially saying that because we do not have system write access, it is not possible to brick the phone per se?

Not the way he described. With write protection, it is much harder

I was holding Power and Vol Down like on my DNA, turns out I had to hold Vol Up.
For some reason, I tried to boot into recovery from Goo.im and I wound up with a red "!". Holding the power for over 3 minutes did nothing. Holding Volume Up plus power put me back in business.
I've had that issue several times now where I was horsing around with xposed modules and rebooting and it would just freeze with the screen super dim and the Verizon logo just barely perceptible. Holding power forever did nothing. One thing I found that ALWAYS recovers it for me is holding power and volume UP for about 30 seconds. It hard resets it. Works every time for me.
I was starting to get scared too as I'm coming from The Galaxy s4 and am used to being able to battery pull.
