Its the same like stock. Maybe 50mb more..
Thanks bhai. How is the performance? Significant improvements over the stock ROM?

The stock ROM, before apps are installed (ie. Dropbox, whatsapp, viber, facebook, etc, etc) uses 290mb (364mb available). I don't know what CM currently uses. As to performance, the stock ROM is significantly better than the two custom ROMs that I have tried. This performance gap can be further widened by installing Faux. I have returned to stock after being disappointed with the current status of the custom ROM's.

Cause it just is lol
Think about this way, can you run IOS on Ubuntu just like that? no Ubuntu uses a different Kernel. Just like that cm uses caf Kernel.

this is not that simple
CAF kernel is heavily customised kernel for some qualcomm cpu's, and this have nothing to do with phantom kernel, for official support from FXP team we need CAF kernel, and after this is done we'll get official CM11

A CAF kernel is furture proof, there's no need to develop a new kernel when a new version of android released. Only small changes need to be made.
all stock firmwares for qualcomm devices also based on CAF
for example latest stock kernels for XL are based on CAF tag M8930AAAAANLYA25040401
Any one try custom kernels on PAC ROM nightlies? I'm looking to set my phone to seLinux permissive to allow touch interface on my appradio 3. Suggestions?

Frankly, stock ROM with faux kernel and pure performances mod has the best battery backup. I pulled 2 days of battery through it.

got it
I prefer cm11 with xperience kernel...Its one of the best kernels around... But it doesn't work well with performance control so use trickstermod for the kernel tweaking since cyanogen mod doesn't have an inbuilt kernel tweaker.... If you are willing to wait a bit, then c-rom is the best IMO...the devs are on a vacation so once the commits are updated, xperience kernel will work perfect...or you can use an older version of the xperience kernel if you can't wait with c-rom....The inbuilt wakeblocker is also very useful...
But its a bit buggy c-rom
