Hi,
I am using Xperia L C2104 (Android 4.2.2) for almost 3 years.
Yesterday, I manually restarted the phone. After that it kept continuously restarting.
Even when I booted to Safe Mode, it kept continuously restarting.
After a few hours, I tried again and it started working OK in Safe Mode. I took a backup and uninstalled most of the third-party apps.
Then I tried booting into normal mode and it worked OK.
After using the phone in normal mode for few hours, it restarted on its own.
It again kept on continuously restarting. After several attempts, it started working OK in Safe Mode.
I am currently using it in Safe Mode.
I am planning to take it to Sony service center in 1-2 days.
Any idea what could be going wrong?
Do you think a built-in app (Google etc) could be causing this problem?
Do you think a Factory Reset would help?
Or, do you think it could be a hardware problem?
Thanks for your help.

My phone is not rooted the.bootloader is locked. It's stupid that I can't access the factory menu or root a phone that I personally own.
I've reset my phone through the phone menu. The phone is now in a boot loop. The screen goes blue after 5 minutes everything and the phone restarts. Last week it happened rarely, yesterday it restarts every hour and now I have even less time before the phone restarts.
Safe mode doesn't have an effect on it either.
My guess is that its like a windows blue screen of death relating to memory.
Are there any options left to fix the problem?

So I own a Samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 and I have it rooted using king of roots.I was occasionaly experiencing tablet freezing and then restarting on its own.Recently, while I was away,I think it downloaded some updates or something. When I tried to look at it,it restarted and from that time it gives me only a small amount of time like 10 seconds or something and then it restarts again and again.I tried to hard reset it half a dozen of times but everytime i reboot it everything is the same and it keep restarting like before.Any ideas on how to fix this ?I would really appreciate your help here guys.
so i tried to recover it using odin but still nothing happened.any ideas?
Hi there,
On Saturday I tried to get my phone in the ultra battery saving mode. But after activating it, it told me, that the launcher can't be loaded. Since I used a Samsung package disabler to disable not needed apps (including TouchWiz) I think that caused the issue.
Then I tried turn off the save mode, but since the launcher did not load, I was not able to do so.
So I rebooted my phone. As it turned on again, it only loaded the Samsung logo and pulse and nothing more. I tried to reboot it very often, but still no result. I mean the phone still vibrates after some seconds and the hardware buttons blinks (the sign, that the boot is completed), but the Samsung logo is still there.
I also tried to boot it into save mode, but same result.
Wiping the cache partition in the recovery mode, did help at all.
Now I want to know, if there is any other way, how I can get my phone working again. It's not rooted or any customization made (except for the package disabler).
Or at least a way to backup my phone, so I can do a factory reset without loosing my data.
Thanks in advance!

Only saw this post after I submitted mine.
I'm having the exact same issues as you. Enabled UPSM whilst using Nova launcher. Then the device went in to a boot loop.
So yesterday my Apollo Lite stopped working. It was working fine until I tried to restart the phone and it shut down. But it didn't restart afterwards and since then the phone doesn't react when I try to connect it to the PC and also doesn't react when I try to charge it. I also can't boot into recovery. It just stays dead. Now this sounds like a hardbrick and I thought the same even though i never heard of a phone bricking because of a restart but after i accidentally dropped it last night I was suddenly able to boot it. I immediately tried to restart it again to see if everything was working fine but it went back to not reacting at all.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Hi everyone! I really appreciate it if you can help! I connected my ZTE AXON Pro phone to the computer and deleted some folders and files in my phone through Android File Transfer, and the phone worked normally after I deleted the files. But the next day when I turned it on, it was stuck at the "AXON" logo screen. I went to two repair shops. One could do nothing about it and suggested me to contact a data recovery company since I need the data in my phone. The other shop thought my phone was fairly old (I started to use it in 2017) and they suspected that the battery had gone bad and wasn't supplying enough voltage for a full boot cycle. They ordered a new battery and tried floating it plugged in, but the phone still wouldn't boot. They said the motherboard was also getting very hot approximately where the power supply chip would be. They tried to charge the new battery but nothing brought the phone to life, so they diagnosed it as a power supply chip failure. They couldn't fix it. But I think the problem is caused by me deleting the files that affect the system. After that I put the phone in recovery mode and wiped cache partition, but it still wouldn't fully boot up and it's stuck in bootloop: Now when I turn it on it's stuck at the "AXON" logo screen for a few minutes and then "Android is starting...Optimizing app 1 of 3.""Android is starting Optimizing app 2 of 3.""Android is starting Optimizing app 3 of 3." show up, and then "Android is starting apps." shows up. Then it restarts and stucks at the "AXON" logo screen, and repeats the loop over and over again until the battery is completely drained.
I have some very important app data in the internal storage and I can't afford to lose it. Does anyone know how to fix the bootloop without losing data? Thanks a lot!!!!!
Boot this Androd 5.1 based phone into "Safe Mode":
Safe mode can help you investigate and find problem apps if optimizing app 1 of 1 ... issue is caused by unsuitable or broken apps. You can stop Android optimizing apps by booting the device in Safe mode.

Thank you for replying! I just tried to boot it into safe mode, but it didn't work. When I saw the ZTE logo on the screen I quickly pressed volume down and held it for about one minute or longer, but the phone was still stuck at the "AXON" logo screen and started the bootloop. It wouldn't load in safe mode. I've tried a few times, but it still doesn't work.
