Hello Everyone!
Yesterday I made the change from S5 to S6 (G920F) and I have a big problem with the bluetooth performance of the phone. It can't connect (for example JBL Charge 2+) or constantly drops connection, even the bluetooth device is near the phone (Galaxy Gear Fit, Samsung HM1100 Bluetooth headset, bluetooth mouse, etc) Today I searched thru the Internet to find a solution, but I didn't find anything else than the "cleare cache, then everything will be fine" thing...Is there any REAL solution to this problem (custom Rom, Kernel, fix, etc.)?...Now I'm very disappointed...Thank You For Your Answers
Marshmallow 6.0.1 Stock, not rooted...full factory rom
It's Bluetooth, there's bound to be a problem or the other.
Boot into recovery, do a cache wipe, then perform factory reset.
If it that doesn't fix it, you must have got a phone with a defective modem. Go to the nearest service centre and have it checked out.

Thank You! I tried that clear cache thing, no way... I think the second version wins...defective modem

Are you sure you have performed a HARD reset. A hard reset means that your device is in the same state as when you first took it out of the box.
If then the WIFI fails to switch on, you probably have a hardware problem and should send the device for repairs.
I have had a problem with the WIFI function as well. In my case it was caused by a program which allows the Cruise to act as a WIFI access point. After using that software once, the WIFI cannot be switched on any more. I have had the same problem on my "standard" Touch.

hi mate,

In my case the hard reset resolved the issue both on my original touch and on my touch cruise. The latter needs to go back for repairs now anyway because the speaker has decided not to function anymore.

I'm having a similar problem on my Cruise. My WiFi is switching on in the Comm Mgr. I see the icon working for a couple of seconds then it seems to freeze. I try to sign in on Skype or access an Internet site with no success. Strange. It was working a couple of days ago.
Am at the moment using a Laptop via a WiFi connection, so it's not a general WiFi connection problem.
Appreciate some advice.
Hi
Just a quick extra comment to my question above. Would a Hard Reset really help? Or is this just an option to find a solution?
hi i called htc and returned the device for repair i will update on the progress
Hi guys,
I need help. Once I encrypted my phone. Location service/GPS is not working on my phone.
Before encryption. There is the location icon always comes up when I access something like Google Maps. even tried installing GPS toolbox. Able to see the satellites and all.
But after encryption, the location icon does not come up. But somehow in High Accuracy mode, it does get somewhere of an approximation of my location.(from network and Wifi).(This does not go well when you are navigating around)
Have you guys encountered this. I have even tried flashing the new L09 Rom and it is still the same.
Also searched around the forums (Looks like the old Samsung phones had this issue where after encryption the GPS would not work). But the post is way back in 2011. And they din follow up on the posts on how it was fixed.
I have factory reset my phone a number of times, flash new rom(the one shared on this forum)
Also played with the settings nothing happens. I still cannot get GPS to work after encryption.
Also another thing I notice is that during the encryption a strange error came up and say that Settings have stopped working. I do not know whether there is a coincidence or not and whether it has anything to do with this GPS problems..
Any help is welcomed. as having a phone with no GPS is really driving me up the wall.

Really sorry for late response - but you can fix this problem using attached file - this is apk from China version of Mate7 make you be able to give (or revoke) access to system data storages (including GPS) to applications.
I had the same problem as you - and using this apk i've fixed it successfully.
it doesn't work for me - can anybody sent printsceen of settings of this app?
Thanks
@nchee + @mireczeque
Have you BOTH re-flashed the stock rom by using the official HUAWEI procedure (i.e. three buttons pressed togheter and ROM saved on DLOAD folder)? If so, do you have ALSO applied a WIPE DATA FACTORY RESET plus a WIPE CACHE PARTITION?
I had some problems with APPS crashing when I tried restoring my HAM with B130. I WIPED everithing and THEN re-flashed fresh B130 from DLOAD sdcard procedure, and everithing worked perfectly. I hope this help.

(EDIT) Solution: I remember a long time ago when I went from stock to CM11 I lost all GPS capability. It was determined this is just a random occurance and all you need to do is flash back to stock, get a lock, then reflash CM11 until the lock sticks. With this previous tactic, I applied the same principle to the bluetooth issue since it was apparent I had a unique situation and most did not have issues. Steps taken to fix the bluetooth issue:
Step 1: Backup everything to external SD
Step 2: RUU back to GPE 4.4.2 (found VZW variant on XDA)
Step 3: OTA Update to 4.4.4 because the build needs to be higher than 4.4.2's build
Step 4: Ran bluetooth through car for a little bit and also ensured I had a GPS lock
Step 5: Reflash CM Recovery
Step 6: Wiped /system, /data (sdcard), /cache, and /dalvik
Step 7: Flashed CM12. Restored via Titanium Backup and on 3rd day without bluetooth dropping out yet (fingers still crossed)
Obviously I did not provide much detail on the steps because there are numerous tutorials already. However, if someone would like more explicit instructions just ask.
----------------------------
Greetings. A few weeks ago I made the jump from CM11 to CM12. I first did a dirty flash and a had a few problems so I ultimately did a clean flash. I transferred everything to my external and wiped everything else (system, data, dalvik, cache) then reinstalled CM12. Both on CM11 and CM12 I noticed that my bluetooth, when connected to my car streaming audio, would randomly disconnect. The phone would still think it was connected, but my headunit would lose the connection. This never happened on CM11, leading me to believe the headunit is not the culprit. I've erased the bluetooth cache, wiped cache in recovery, and deleted and repaired numerous times.
Android 5.0.2
CM version 12-20150320-NIGHTLY-m8 (has been happening since I first switched in the beginning of March)
Kernel: 3.4.0-g1ac088b
What I've observed:
- I cannot force the disconnect through any specific action
- It almost exclusively (cannot say for 100%) happens when the screen is off
- It does not happen every time the screen is off
- I've tried in both performance and balance mode -- no difference
- I've never had this problem before going to CM12
- When the connection is working, everything works as expected (no volume issues, can control through headunit, etc)
- If I disable then reenable bluetooth the devices will reconnect and work until the random disconnect occurs again
- When connected as phone only, it does not disconnect. It is only the audio profile (A2DP I believe)
Has anyone else observed this as well? Furthermore, does anyone have a solution? I've scoured the interwebs and I found a few issues but all related to the One Plus One -- and those solutions did not work for me.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I did a CATLOG and noticed numerous bluetooth issues, but I do not have the log on me at the moment. I can recapture it and post it if it helps.
Thanks.
Bill
Hey guys,
yesterday I noticed that Bluetooth is switched off on my S7. I tried to switch it on again, but the slider/button in the bluetooth menu just stays gray, even though it moved to the right. It looks like the phone is not able to start blutooth for whatever reason. WiFi works without a flaw. My phone is completely stock, no root, no knox, no custom rom. I'm on stock rom G935FXXU1DQJ1
Any ideas how to fix this?
Try to perform a hard reset. Maybe there is a bug in your phone.

Well I was hoping to find a solution without having to wipe everything. Without knowing if it will fix the issue, it would take me several hours of lifetime to setup the phone from scratch.
Ok - this is very strange. I'm still using the phone currently as it is and I'm wearing my Gear S2 smartwatch to at least know what time it is, but throughout the day bluetooth actually turned a few times on, synchronized with the watch and suddenly switch off again.
I was trying to stream music to a bluetooth speaker during one of the phases in which bluetooth was working, but the music stops after several seconds and bluetooth switches off again.
What the ....?
Ok I think I fixed it. Resetting all connectivity settings did the trick for me. Although I now need to reconnect to all the devices and WiFis. Still better then doing a factory reset
Hi all,
I have a very strange issue, after modifing my Wifi antenna on a Witson unit I made an error by picking the wrong antenna to solder (bluetooth instead ofg Wifi.
The bluetooth antenne was just a wire with no ground and I made the mistake of grounding the replacement cable.
Result dead Wifi and bluetooth, no way that either were possible to activate in the menus.
So I reached out to the vendor and asked if they could send me a replacement board.
After receiving this I modifed the right antenna, however stil no Wifi with the new board.
Strangely the MAC address is not a valid one, it shows 02:00:00:00:00:00 and says IP address - not available.
Now I tried a rooted ROM to gain more access to the unit and deleted the files under data/misc/wifi and rebooted, no luck.
Used the app -Device ID Changer Pro- to change the MAC address but after a reboot it goes back to the original one.
What is going on?
Normally speaking I would suspect by changing the motherboard it would have resolved the issue.
Changing a Wifi antenna would not cause the MAC address to behave in such a way.
So any sugestions how to resolve this are apreciated because I'm running out of ideas, even the vendor doesn't know what is wrong with this.
Thanks

I have in the past seen a mac address all (or mostly) zeros. The problem went away in my case. Obvious question but have you tried a factory or network settings reset?
Hi xdamember2,
Yes, tried them all, did a factory reset, first in the original ROM a factory reset, then installed Malaysk's ROM on it to gain root access.
Did in the recovery after loading the ROM a factory and data wipe before trying the rest.
No luck and that point, then tried a few times Device ID Changer because of the root functionality within Malaysk's ROM but no luck either.
Tried the network reset before and after that, also nothing.

Well, sorry but I don't have any more suggestions. My wifi works ok but requires occasional manual intervention on the hotspot. It's a completely different problem and not as serious.
same problem for me.. no wifi... removed the px5 and returned to the old px3 and all working fine
