Whats up fellas.
Lets go straight to the point. Here are the new emoji found in Android N Preview 2. I've included an updated Google Keyboard as a bonus. This keyboard was extracted from a Nexus 6 (not 6P!) factory image, so it's for 32-bit devices only.
Uninstall any previous Google Keyboard version (modded or not) before flashing this zip.
If you want just the emoji, then flash the "EmojiOnly" zip.
Disclaimer: You're flashing these files at your own risk. I'll not take any responsibility if something goes awry. Your destiny is your own. So just in case... BACK. UP. YOUR. SYSTEM. PARTITION.
Bugs:
- Some of the emoji don't display properly in the keyboard.
Note: Looks like the guys at Gadget Hacks were faster than me. Try their emoji zip if mine doesn't work, lol.

I'll try. No promises though. It'll probably take forever to upload (slow internet -.-).
But hey, at least the Google apps (excluding the keyboard and possibly some other core apps) are deodexed.
Edit: But do you guys need everything (EVERYTHING!) in /system or you need only app, framework, and priv-app?

Hi all men, is it possible to have the new stock launcher? (Now some icons changed ((DEV 2)))
Hi! Thanks a lot for the emojis, but I've noticed in the zip that apart from the "notocoloremoji" font file (which is apparently the emojis) there are also 4 other "notoserif" fonts. Are they needed?
I deleted them from the fonts system folder and there is no issue with the emojis. Maybe you should exclude them from the zip.

A previous emoji updater zip i had here also changed the notoserif fonts (it came from 6.0.1). I believe these fonts are somehow related to the emoji, but i'm not 100% sure.

These little mods are for the latest (at time of writing) stock firmwares: N7100XXDLL4 / DLL5/ DLL7 and N7100UBDLL3
Whenever I flash a new ROM, the first thing I do is re-do these little mods (unless the ROM already includes them) and flash them, so I thought I would share as some of you may find them useful.
They are all in a Clockworkmod flashable zip.
*And now with CWM flashable Aroma installer with my stock launcher and PopupBrowser mods added to it, so now you can install the ones you want and leave the ones you do not want.*
Thanks to commandersafi for his tool.
Included are the folllowing:
SecMms.apk - No sms to mms convert, number of contacts limit removed, better smilies (see pic) and the option to keep the screen off when a new mrssage arrives (CWM_SecMms.apk_ScreenOff.zip only. Thanks to sling for the screen off/on mod))
SystemUI.apk - Black status bar instead of grey.
framework-res.apk - Stock Browser useragent set to desktop as default, better smilies for third party messaging clients (same as the ones in SecMms.apk), screen will now not come on when unplugging from charger/usb (I found this really annoying!), the menu bar (if you enable it) has been reduced in size (see pic to see the size it looks) and the lockscreen rotation has been enabled (only in CWM_AROMA_Stock_UBDLL3_Mods.zip).
SecLauncher2.apk - Stock launcher mod: 6 x 7 icons instead of the stock 4 x 4 and also has up to 7 icons in the dock instead of the stock 5, plus with 6 x 7 icons in the app drawer instead of the stock 5 x 5. (Only in the Aroma installer version)
PopupBrowser.apk - It is now larger (see pic to see the size it looks). I did not see the point in having the PopupBrowser so small as I was always 'maximising' it. Now, with this mod, there is no need to. (Only in the Aroma
installer version)
SamsungWidget_WeatherClock.apk - This is the default weather widget from the Note 1 (N7000) which has the 5 day forcast on the widget, it has been modded to fit the Note 2 (N7100) screen size (see pics). Even the app the widget opens up into has been modded as they both bled off the screen due to the Note 1's screen resolution, This widget is an addition to the already installed Accuweather widget and nothing gets removed or overwritten. And I will add that they took me hours to sort out! (It is in its own CWM flashable zip)
You should be able to use these mods for odexed as well as deodexed roms, as the odex files for SecMms.apk, SystemUI.apk, PopupBrowser.apk and SecLauncher2.apk, if you have them, will be deleted when the apps are flashed, I have not tested them on a stock odexed rom but there should be no problems.
Both flashable zips will work on stock (and maybe custom) XXDLL4/5/7 and N7100UBDLL3.
How to:
1. Download the CWM flashable zip
2. BACKUP YOUR ROM! Just in case.
3. Reboot into recovery and flash zip.
4. Reboot.
5. Click 'THANKS'
.
*If you use your Note 2 to download the file, please use a browser other than the stock one, otherwise it may just download a large .php file.*
.
CWM_N7100UBDLL3_framework_Mod.zip (Same as above but with the lockscreen rotation disabled.)
.
Stock_DLL4_Mods.zip
.
CWM_AROMA_Stock_DLL7_Mods.zip
.
CWM_AROMA_Stock_UBDLL3_Mods.zip
.
.
SecLauncher2.apk (Stock launcher) mods (see attachments).
How to:
1. Download the attached modded SecLauncher2.apk
1. Go to /system/app and rename SecLauncher2.apk to SecLauncher2.apk.bak (in case you want to revert back)
2. Copy over the modded SecLauncher2.apk to /system/app, rename to SecLauncher2.apk , set permissions, reboot, done.
Please note SecLauncher2_10x6x8_NoScroll.apk will have no app labels on the home screen pages due to the cells being so small.
.
.
Please note CWM_SecMms.apk_ScreenOff.zip is the same as the mod above but with the added option in the app settings of having the screen come on/stay off when a new message arrives, if you have an odexed rom, make sure you delete the SecMms.odex file before flashing. (Thanks to sling for the screen off/on mod)

I have just installed the latest N7100XXDLL7 and these mods work as they should, which is no surprise as DLL7, DLL5 and DLL4 are essentially the same
Hi friend

Hello padlad,
Thank you for the mods.
I have one important find that you should know. IT DOES NOT WORK CORRECTLY, specifically the framework-res mod, WHEN Simplistic Framework is installed. I'm pretty sure I installed everything correctly. So there must be a conflict somewhere.
What happens - the home screen shrinks to about 1/2 the size, on all pages.
I'm reverting back from a backup and will install only the SecMms mod in Aroma. I'll let you know what happens.
Update - All is good with just the SecMms mod.
Thanks!
I'm running my launcher @ 270dpi and with your launcher mod looks really great but when I open a folder the size is really small.
Anyway to increase the folder size to the same as original and remove page dots?
Many Thanks
Edit: nevermind I modded my original omega 10 launcher with default folder settings and 6x7 app draw and at 270dpi it looks awesome.

Hi all
this is my first creation... i changed the stock themed smileys with the Sony Xperia ones.. as i think they look better.
These smileys fit the Xperia Keyboard... there are some missing (i only changed what was there, not adding anything new)
as you can see on the picture... i will try and add the rest in the future... but want to know if anybody wants it and that it is worth using the time on it
i use this with the keyboard from this thread (version 2.) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2104376
v.1 changelog:
Sony smileys added.
v.2 changelog (future release)
insert rest of the smileys to make a perfect fit for the xperia keyboard.
this is tested and working on my ME2 deodexed rom, for my I9505.
installation instructions:
use a file explorer and mount system as writeable.
go to system/app/ (there you will find secmms.apk (make a backup)
copy my file in to that folder.. and reboot.
if there are any issues please let me know and i will look at it
if you like this.. then please thank me
If someone tries it.. Then please let me know if it works on your phone.. I want to make sure I have done an okay job

Thx for the nice smileys.
They are looking far better than the boring stocks.
I'd like some more. Installing on my S4 and my wife's S4 was a piece of cake.
They'll being displayed only in this way, if both phones have got the same SecMMs from you.
It's Ok for us - :highfive:

Thanks for the feedback... The reason to why they are only displayed between you two must be that you also use Xperia keyboard?
My wife has a Sony phone and it works perfectly from her phone
If people use other keyboards for smileys then we have the problem as they do not write the smileyes alike.
are somewhat universal I think... And I will see if I can get the time to add the rest of the smileys as well
Many thanks for your feedback... And I guess if people write smileys like above then it should show..I have no problems

Yes we love it!! Thanks DKnoob It solves my smileys shortcut button that i used to have on a Google phone but not now on the SGS4.
But did u also install the V2 like this: ?
Installation:
1) Download it and put it in your sd card
2) Flash it in recovery and reboot
3) Go to Settings -> Apps and search for Xperia Keyboard. Open it and Clear Data
The reason i ask is that isnt this just a apk? why do we need to flash it?

Hie friends... This is my first thread...so try this mod at your own risk...a little mistake can "soft-brick" your phone... :cyclops: ..actually if you keep backup of your system apps then you don't need to take any kind of risk..lol .. sorry for my bad Eng.. .
This mod will make your note 95% look like running android 4.2.2..It will change the overall look of your android.. It doesn't add new features of 4.2.2 like air gestures and all..It will give you a fresh new look of Samsung stock android 4.2.2.
All the resources are extracted from leaked android 4.2.2 for note 8.0 and none other than..our galaxy s4. This mod is a combination of multiple modded apps.. It contains :
1. framework-res
2. seclauncher2
3. system ui
4. secsettings
5. accuweather (full including widget, main and daemon)..
6. build.prop... actually I've changed the device id to N71000.. coz samsung hub and all other latest samsung apps, goodies and updates are only available for note 2 and s3...not for our note 1.. :'( :'( ..so by making this trick you can get all that good stuff by samsung and play store. After all our note also deserves all these..
All these apps are perfect for "deodexed stock based DDLSC rom"...you have touchwiz like ui to make these apps work. odexed users can also try this mod by deleting the corresponding .odex files of secsettings.odex,systemui.odex and accuweather..I dont know these apps will work on preload..i have only tried in system apps.. maybe secsettings.apk will work on preload..so if you get force-close on settings move the settings to your preload...except that all apps can work system.
Installation guide..
First make backup of the listed apps above..
Install root explorer or any other explorer..go to system < apps and framework and copy all the mentioned apps and paste them in your external sd card or in your pc.
Download the full package file..(download link below) .
Paste it in your sdcard (external or internal...as your wish....but it should be displayed in cwm... lol.. ) .
Now boot in cwm and install the zip file.Wipe the cache after installation - optional (you should wipe it..bcoz sometimes your phone will wipe the smile from your face lol.. )
Enjoy stock android 4.2.2 on your note.
If anything goes unexpected .. open my zip file in you pc ..and then replace one by one all files with your backed up ones..and then put that zip folder in a sd card....insert sd card in phone then open cwm and flash it...you will revert back at your previous state..
Here is the download link

I downloaded your Files and extractet the zip file because any apps are in preload (SweetRom 10.5) then I placed them manually. After I rebooted my Note there was no Launcher so I installed a Launcher from PlayStore via my PC . So the SecLauncher2.apk not work but I replaced it with my old SecLauncher 2. On the whole it's a very good mod  but I saw that the translation (see Screenshot ) is bad there must be stand "Nur einmal & Immer" in german but its not so terrible. Thank you

Can you share it ?
Sure! I've forgot to put the attachment. Download below!
Note 1: When you flash it, it will say a lot of things like "Hyperdroid Team" etc, its because I've used VR-Theme template from another mod because i didn't have time to make it myself.
Note 2: Flash his mod first, just to dont have any glitches with the UI.
Appreciate your work bro,but stock samsung 4.2.2 is not what you're claiming to be i suppose..
Reading your first post i expected to have tabbed settings(like touchwiz) and two finger gesture like pulldown..
Not discouraging but just got deceived by the 1st post,95% touchwiz 4.2.2 ..am i missing something?
All i can see changing is the statusbar becoming transparent with white text, settings, notification panel remain as it used to be on 4.1.2

I've already mentioned that it will not give you any features of 4.2.2 . It will only give you the new looks of 4.2.2.. You are talking about tabbed settings and two finger gesture pulldown...that are the features...but i am a themer...so i can mod only looks and themes..So this mod is only for changing your 4.1.2 touchwiz nd framework theme to 4.2.2
Just wondering if its possible to just apply a part of a theme rather than the whole package? Like just the icons, or just the AOD?
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app
Unfortunately, no. It's been this way since Samsung started offering themes, and so far no solution has been found
Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk
On a ported ROM for note 3 I used to uninstall the custom icons of the theme using the titanium backup Pro and used unicon to apply custom icons from the play store.
See how u can work with this info for your own convenience.
There is a way but you must know how to use apktool and have knowledge of what goes where. If unpack a theme store theme you will be able to say swap the lockscreen apk for another themes.
Edge of insanity
You can in fact disable parts of themes if you have root. For example if you want to keep stock keyboard theme and everything else be black, you need to find the apk for that portion of the theme and delete it after the complete them has been installed and reboot. Freezing them won't work.
You can use this tutorial to find the part of the theme that you do not want to apply. Hope this helps.

You can replace the icons for any app inside a theme without root. I mean the ones which are already in such theme. You don't even need a PC!
I have just moved to the s7 edge and I am temporarily unrooted and it took me something like 5 minutes to figure how to do it lol!
Apk extractor plus apk editor (the second one is a paid app) and the trick is done. Just extract the theme you need and replace the icons inside with your favorite ones. Just remember that png files must be renamed to qmg (just renamed, not converted). Recompile and install. Apply another theme and then apply the one you have just modded, that's all!
Weird nobody has shared a guide yet. If any of you appreciates it, I can share a detailed how to.
Apk editor is not compulsory, but it is one of the few paid apps I bought.

Sorry
Easy : if you want for example not the icons of the theme : use ''Debloater'' search it on xda, kill ''Theme ... apicon'' and on your phone you can now see it in app, uninstall, reapply theme and that's all ^^
Hey bro have you managed to make the tutorial? As the previous poster said... Many would like to do the same. For example I'm looking for a way to rip icon pack from touchwiz theme. I don't know how.
The theme is called Grey_abstraction from guy called Alex pie. I like the theme but I love the icons but he does not have it in the theme store. Would you know how to do that?
I'm NOT rooted
Hi guys its Codex better known as Alpha_Killer previously Known as Network_Delta[emoji14]We have known that yet there is no method to get rid of trial themes on S8/S8+ unless we Disable ThemeCenter .apk or Rename it from Themecenter.apk to Themecenter.apk.bak which will disable themes ... well today it will change i have been wanting to crack the this theme thing and i think i finally did it.. Method is given below:
<Mod Edit>
Now get into Theme Center you should be able to change your wallpapers, icons, aods and themes but a drawback your trial theme wont appear in the themes Area but the fact remains you got your theme applied and can change wallpapers etc.
Its better than having the Theme Center disabled right??
This method has been tested by a bunch of people and confirmed working....
This Method Works Fully on the Note 8 Ports
Huge Thanks to Cobrax05, nazir81 and Nameless

You should see your theme name it example (themesname.com.json) now rename this file to themesname.com.json.bak and reboot.. Wala you have your themes no trials and you have access to theme center aswell.

You just now found this out? Lol been doing this for a while. Was hoping you actually dev'd an app somehow to auto do it. Oh well
Silly question, but presumably I need to be rooted to do this?

Lol. He really thinks he cracked something. Have one better for him. Instead of renaming to bak. He could have just cut and paste from trial json to user folder and reboot. So he would have access to the themes at will. He only can't update them cause of course they haven't been paid for. People have been doing this since the themes started few years back.
Same principle for icon trials
Sent from my phone
any way to do it without root? Theme killer did it for a while but I forget how they did.
Without root
1. . Goto https://seap.samsung.com/license-keys/how-to
2. Sign in with your Samsung account as developer
3. Generate Standard Knox SDK key (Enterprise License Management)
4. Install ThemeControl app (APK file will be in sdcard/themeGalaxy)
4. Enable Device admin rights to the app
5. Enter your key and activate the Knox SDK ELM License
Now the Theme store can be enabled / disabled from the app.
Simply, Follow this guide to get ELM key
http://project-vivid.weebly.com/how-to-get-elm-key.html
Once after you disabled the packages, if you install new theme/reboot the device The theme center service may get start. So when it does, enable and disable the theme store again.

Hello everyone.
This is a bit off topic question, but since U guys seem to know what to do with json files, does anyone maybe know how can I remove a theme from samsung keyboard?
I've been willing to do this because I like black themes but I don't want my keyboard to be black.
My phone is rooted.
Can't open theme its crashing...
Any idea....?

To remove a theme from the keyboard you need to remove or rename the apk that ends with inputlanguage.apk from the folder data/overlays/currentstyle you may replace the theme with another on just the keyboard if you put another themes *inputlanguage.apk into the currentstyle folder and rename it the same as the original you just replaced. Then reboot. I've attached a couple of images showing renaming the original apk then rebooting and you can see i am back to stock keyboard
