[cm13][nightly] Dual SIM, second sim 3g/LTE only, forces first to 2G - Samsung Galaxy S Duos

Hello, firstly, I apologise if this thread is in the wrong place, please redirect me to where I need to go and if I should repost if needed.
I am running cyanogenmod 13 nightlies on a samsung galaxy S5 duos. I previously started with cm12.1 nightlies. With the CM12.1 nightlies, I had two sim cards plugged in and was able to run my main SIM on LTE with the secondary SIM on 2G.
Now on CM13, my secondary SIM will only run on either 3G or LTE (these are the options offered by the UI). If plugged in this forces the main SIM to run 2G only.
Just in case, the main SIM is my number in my country and the secondary SIM is roaming, from a previous country. I want to use data on my main SIM (obviously) and not my second SIM.
My second SIM is 2G compatible. Using another handset, I can select 2G only, even while roaming, and still connect to the network.
I have had this problem with all CM13 nightlies I have tried.
Is this a regression with android? Does anyone know of a workaround?
Thanks.

This is not that surprising, the galaxy s5 and s5 duos are different handsets.
I'm using klteduos nightly, and I have a duos phone.

SIM Unlock- Help please.

Hello everyone!
I'm writing for help from the experts. I don't know if this had been answered somewhere else but i looked all over the place and i didn't find anything for this phone.
After trying and trying for a few days now, i have not been able to unlock my verizon SGS3 so that i can use it with other sim cards.
I currently have it running on JB 4.1.2 it is rooted and the bootloader is unlocked thanks to the EZ- Unlock technique.
But when i put in a non verizon sim it says "sorry, this SIM is not supported. please....."
Can it be done ?
Thanks in advance
BTW: i've tryed the "galaxsim", and "Sim unlock" by chainfire as well as all the other similar apps i could find on the playstore but they have not worked for me.

Verizon S3 is sim unlocked for GSM, but not sure about the cdma. You can use it with t-mobile, att etc. There is a thread in android development forum about how to setup s3 as global phone. Try that one if you are using gsm.
Thanks doesn't hurt....
clarification

Hey !
Thank you so much for responding. I am trying to use it on a gsm network but it wont register, that's why i figured maybe its locked somehow. Also because of the message in the top that says non-verizon sim, it says sorry this sim card is not supported etc..
Where can i find the thread you mentioned?
Thanks again.
Go through the below thread to check how to setup the Verizon GS3 as world GS phone :

Ok so i worked on it till very late last night, and was able to do everything in the thread. My phone now shows the network apn in the apn list in the settings and i was able to get rid of the non-verizon sim message that poped up at startup.
But my phone still won't register on any network, I've tried to different sim cards and tried in global settings as well as gsm/utms auto or manual but it wont register onto a network.
What can i do ? Is it locked by Verizon or something ? Should i flash a different rom ?
Thanks for your invaluable help, i really appreciate it!
Have you tried using phoneinfo? Try using the phone info app to select preferred network type by going into device information. Find link below to the app. Try with different network type

If this doesn't work then try with lte sim card.

[Completed] No LTE on boostmobile with Samsung Galaxy S4

Hello all,
First time poster here so hoping to drop this off in the right place. I have a brand new (out of the box) Samsung Galaxy S4 which I just purchased from my Boostmobile dealer the other day. Installed the latest Cynogenmod on it only to find that LTE did not work. 3G works fine but this prompted me to look around for help. After discussing in #SGS4 on freenode, I wiped the phone and installed the latest Optimized cm 12.1 build. Again, same problem. LTE does not work and 3G does.
Model: SPH-L720
ROM: OptimizedCM-12.1-20150817
Carrier: Boost Mobile
Something tells me my problem relates to the carrier?
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I'm assuming you didn't have this problem on stock? It could be adb issues with cm. But I'd ask your question here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2374543. They are the experts on your device. You can also find your device's forum here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2374543

[Completed] cm-12.1-20150918 build datacom not working on the sim with voice

Dear Rox,
1. First of all gr8 work on giving 5.1.1 aka new life to s3 neo users.
2. Just installed the latest build of CM 12.1 relelased on 21 sep 15.
3. It was mentioned that there will be no audio in call in the second SIM. I have a different problem. There is no audio in SIM 1 but audio is there in SIM 2. Also DataCom 3G works in SIM 1 and no datacom 3G/2G in SIM2. So technically eighter I can use the phone for calling or only for 3G as the two things are not working together on a single SIM.
4. Pl help as my enjoyment of Lollipop 5.1.1 was very short lived. Will be greatful.
Hi
If you simply post in the rom thread, as a new member, your post should be automatically directed to a Q&A thread for the rom you are referring too.
That is your best way to find help. You can ask for help for this or anything else here too,

Galaxy S7 Duos and Wi-Fi calling

Hi I have Galaxy S7 DUOS (dual-SIM model G930FD) which I recently rooted. I have enabled CSC features related to WifI calling but still WiFi calling option does not show up. From what I read here I might need different ROM (BTU vs EE). I am not sure I totally understand the difference between the ROMs. Could somebody please explain to me what ROM I need to get WiFi calling and what are possible implications of flashing it compared to one I have now? Thanks!
My current software build number is MMB29K.G930FXXU1APB6. I plan to use WiFi calling on T-Mobile in US.
