Custom kernel - Xiaomi Mi 4C

Is there any chance to see custom kernels the mi4c?

I also would like to know this.
Maybe someone who can speak Chinese find something in there forums?
The source is published so it should be possible or not?

Possible. All we need is a developer willing to step up and make custom kernels for MIUI

to be honest... there are also other devices with similar cpu and gpu to our i9001... and you could have posted your work here for others to see and help you rather than just giving a statement
porting doesnt only involve the cpu and gpu... there are many other hardware specific and code specific changes which make porting difficult... including but not limited to the audio, radio, wifi, sensors, etc...
p.s. I know you are trying to help but please remember to post such topics in the general section under the I9001 topic... (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1252686)

Porting roms

I have a couple of maybe stupid question.
What do i need to port an ics rom to my phone from another phone?
we have a semi working cm9 rom (missing camera ans fm radio), and i'd like to use another ics rom, aokp or something like that.
All the driver files i need to have are on the kernel? or there are some files that need to be changed within the rom?
Can i install a rom from a similar hardware phone and just switch the kernel?
I've always been a final user of custom roms, but i really want to learn more about android development so i can contribute to the forum
So anyone wiling to give me a tutorial?
Thanks in advance

custom roms vary along with the device. So try mentioning your device details
