Is better flash Marshmallow firmware, than update via OTA. As I understand, you downgraded your phone to LL and if you update via OTA there is a risk of getting a brick.
See this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/general/guide-fastboot-flashing-factory-t3187750
You have to factory reset, don't forget.

Hello,
Can somebody please give me a link to download stock kitkat Asia retail rom for MOTO G XT1033?
I searched for a long time but could not find a flashable zip file. Also didn't make a backup of my stock firmware :crying:
Additional details in screenshot.
Stock ROM XT1033
Motorola don't seem to have uploaded the 4.4.2 Stock ROM anywhere out there.
Download the 4.3 JB on the firmwares page below, & then update via OTA.
sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=14
P.S. Download the OTA update and update via sideload if you have troubles
Faith is the key. Don't lose it
And I thought ...
hey, thanks for your reply.
After hours of searching, I found this:
http://www.filefactory.com/file/3t4v75yvhrd5/RETAIL-AS_FALCON_KXB20.25-1.31_cid7_CFC_1FF.xml.zip
The build version is the same as the stock Kitkat rom. Although I haven't tried it yet, been lazy.
Personally, I do not think that Moto people would be so biased towards XT1033 Asia users and not even release the fw in question.
Would update once I have tried this rom.

It works.
Though not immediately but works. Although I have noticed that the OTG device gets detected quickly when the screen is locked as compared to when I am using the phone.

Hi Guys,
I've unlocked bootloader on my moto g(UK Version) , then installed 4.4.3 GPE,and updated to 4.4.4. Now i wanted to go back to stock motorolla rom(4.4.3 or 4.4.2).
I see a lot of people is struggling with that. Did anyone managed to do this? Can someone please post a guide? I really do not want to brick my phone for the second time
Thanks guys!
You can flash stock rom 4.4.2/4.4.3,if not,replace 4.4.4's gpt.bin to 4.4.2
I from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4 and flash stock 4.4.2,it is ok,and then ota 4.4.4

You do not downgrade, flash stock 4.4.2 if you from 4.4.4
you can relpace gpt.bin only when you from 4.4.4 downgrade 4.3.

Listen to the man dude. Your just rambling now, we can flash over 4.4.4 and Recover from a brick. Their are a few tutorials and let's face it, if you can still enter fastboot.. Your phone not really dead is it..
Just download 4.4.2 firmware..
And Fastboot Flash everything EXCEPT motoboot and gpt.bin

Hi guys, I've tried flashing stock 4.4.3 on top of GPE 4.4.4 and it did not work. I did not flash motoboot and gpt , but i stil got error messages "File is too big" when flashing system.img_sparsechunk 1 2 and 3 .
If any of you have an idea how to resolve this, please let me know thx
i need to go back
yes you can. simply flash any custom rom u like..
Did you find any issues in MM?
Don't do it. First of all check if the bootloader got updated. Newer bootloader won't accept 5.1.1. If you updated via OTA you can't go back. Only option is CM13.

Works only with stock recovery, don't try to update OTA using twrp.
Just install rsd lite, Motorola drivers and download a Verizon version. Unzip the rom and open the rsd. Now, search in the folder unzipped by the flashfile.xml. Put your device in fastboot mode holding power+vol-. Connect USB and press start. Don't disconnect the USB until rsd lite finish. This way you will have updates via ota.

You can't take OTAs on -03 device using -02 ROM. It is only possible on Verizon version because they are using their own Updater app.

There are some bloatwares but nothing heavy, maybe 6 or 7 apps.
As Wisejr said you need to root to uninstall them. I also did the update via ota without any problem (security patch november 2017). The smartphone is fast enough but with marshmallow it is faster.
I have yet to test the battery but the duration seems unchanged. The only things I have noticed are that at startup a message appears on the unlocking of the bootloader and the logo is that of the verizon.
Can someone tell me how to delete the message and change the logo with the original one?
Last question: do you think it is possible to flash with rsd a stock rom (not verizon) and if yes, could you link the latest firmware available (complete image retail or reteu) ?.
Thanks to all and sorry for my english
Were you already running android Nougat before this install, or did you go straight to 7.1.1 from marshmallow? Thanks
Straight from marshmallow using rsd lite
Bootloader unlocked and phone not rooted.

1) Does the Dual sim still work?
2) And should i update via OTAs after i flash it with Verizon ROM?
3) since I'm not in USA, can verizon rom create network issues?
