Bricked Samsung S6? - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I noticed I have an update for Marshmallow Last night so I initiated the install.
I left this to install whilst I fell asleep (Phone was plugged in and charging), when I woke up I found my phone constantly turning it's self on and off not getting past the Samsung logo page.
I am also unable to get to the admin boot menu either.
This wasn't a custom ROM this was the out of the box ROM that came with the phone.
Can somebody help me please, my phone is now useless after updating to 6.
I can provide more information if you need.

[Completed] Huawei G615 (U9508) softbricked or battery problem – How to flash?

Hi!
I desperately address you today to ask you for help with my Huawei G615 (U9508; 1GB Version so it’s not Honor2/U9508B, but shouldn’t make a difference).
Problems:
- Phone won’t turn on (seems to be a bootloop).
- Phone won’t charge.
- Can’t find many of the needed files for flashing. So I need working mirrors or would appreciate uploads.
History:
Early 2013: Bought, standard Android 4.0.4 version, rooted by myself.
April 2015: Updated/Flashed to official (?) 4.2.2 with EmotionUI 1.6, rooted afterwards. Since then (not sure, maybe it’s unrelated to the update), I had multiple, annoying error messages when Wi-Fi got (re-)connected, but ignored it for months for not finding a solution.
Indeterminate timespan: State of battery charged wasn’t shown correctly, phone shut off too early. Used app “Battery Recalibrator” to fix this, needed some attempts but finally worked.
16th Feb. 2017 (Day X): Accidentally dropped phone (1-meter drop height, good TPU/silicon phone case cushioned it; no visible damage to phone or battery, no software-crash). Phone continued to work normally. Charged it to 100% before sleeping.
X+1: Phone was 99% after waking up, then suddenly 12%, shut down on 10%. Showed 0% afterwards, plugging it in to charge didn’t help. Despite charging it says 0%, powering on (only possible when charger plugged in) leads to bootloop (Huawei Logo, Android Logo, Huawei Logo (because it restarts)). Decided to put the phone on the cool window board over night without charging it.
X+2: Tried again to turn it on, after many attempts it magically turned on. Worked for the whole day, I still tried to flash the phone to get rid of my other Wi-Fi error log problem (and to prevent other possible problems by doing a fresh new start), didn’t seem to work. Charged it to 100%.
X+3 (today): Phone was already powered off when I woke up. Still can’t turn it on.
What I also tried continually:
- Tried charging with different power adapters or directly from USB. Still 0%.
- Tried wiping cache, wiping/factory reset.
- Flashing it to official 4.0.4. and 4.2.2., seemed not to work because it was over after some seconds, but the SDROOT/dload folder is ~1GB (although it said it worked, see spoiler).
Spoiler
When in recovery and choosing “apply update from external storage”, and then “dload” it says it failed to mount /sdcard (E:; “no such file or directory”).
Then error to open /sdcard/dload (“no such file or directory”)
Then
“Install from SD card complete.
cust copying files.
copy cust files succeeded.”
But as I said, that's possibly not true that 1GB gets copied in some seconds.
Status now (as I remember from Day X+2 when it worked):
- 4.2.2
- EmUI 1.6
- Android system recovery <3e>
- USB-debugging should be turned on (not sure) and phone should be rooted (Superuser was still installed after wiping, but it said it needed an update, so it might not fully work).
- Kernel and other software stuff: Can’t remember, can’t turn on the phone. And don’t know what they all mean tbh, I’m glad I know a little about the differences of Android official and custom ROMs and what a recovery is (and that I may need the Chinese recovery for flashing I cannot find online).
Further Details:
I personally don’t think the fall caused my problems because it continued to work for the whole day and the drop was cushioned. What I suspected: It could be an extreme case of the battery charge status problem. The phone thinks the battery is still 0% although it’s not. So it shuts itself off. Or the bootloop is caused by faulty software/ROM, although I didn’t change anything before the problems appeared.
I’ve read through several manuals and now get some sense of the topic, but I still don’t know everything relevant. Also, most of the links to important files are dead.
In addition, a problem I have is that despite reading through lots of threads, they require me to have a working phone, but mine is stuck in a bootloop.
What I want:
A clear, new phone software. Doesn’t matter which Android version or if official or custom ROM. Just want a working phone without the Wi-Fi error, so a fresh new start, a clean flash.
So: How do I do it, and importantly, where can I find the needed files?
(Even though I might buy a new phone next month, I want this one to be fixed so I can gift or sell the phone.)
Software I already have:
HiSuite, HuaWei_USB_Driver.exe, Android SDK, dload-B115 (folder, should be official Android 4.0.4), dload-B703 (folder, should be official Android 4.2.2), cm-10.1-20131006-EternityProject-hwu9508.zip (CyanogenMod 10.1 from Eternity Project); already rescued my data, so I’m ready to wipe.
Software that might be missing:
Chinese recovery, fastboot mod (what for?), CWM (what’s this, what for?), TWRP (what for?).
Many thanks in advance!
EDIT:
As recovery mode (Power + VolumeUp) works and the phone can be on for hours when in this mode (as long as it's plugged in), I assume that it's not the battery but a soft/firmware problem.

LG Lucid 2 bricked. How do I unbrick?

I got a LG Lucid 2 VS870, and I rooted it and uninstalled some system apps. I started it up about a day after I uninstalled the stuff, and it is stuck in a boot loop saying "LG. Security Error." Says security error under LG on the screen. Some were google apps, and I read on a forum elsewhere that I should leave the google apps alone on these phones. I have the stock firmware to be flashed on to it downloaded. When I put it in to download mode, it constantly connects then disconnects, even when nothing is moving the phone. I tried LG mobile support tool, which seemed like it was going to work, then the phone kept connecting and disconnecting. It also is very selective on when it wants to turn on too. It will only turn on sometimes. Even if I leave it plugged in & charging for hours. When I can get it to turn on and go in to download mode, it stays in download mode for maybe 2 minutes, then turns off. All USB drivers are installed and up to date. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I got it figured out. I don't know how to remove this thread though.

After upgrading to Nougat S6 keep showing ' System Update Ready To Install' daily.

Hi, please be kind to a newbie here.. I'm in my 70's and obviously have no idea what I'm doing with the new (to me ) technology. My Galaxy S6 (verizon) is completely stock and keeps draining battery, needed to charge twice daily! Since I couldn't find obvious problem I downloaded SmartSwitch , did the system backup and doing research on internet I read somewhere the new firmware supposedly improve battery life. So I downloaded the Nougat firmware along with Odin and proceed. All went well, was able to restore all the settings and as far as I can tell all is well. The phone battery can last 2 days easily. Now the problem. . Every day now I'm getting notifications on my phone "System Update Ready To Install". When told to install it, the phone goes thru it's routine, downloading the update, rebooting, and installing.. Just to stop on 'blue screen' @27%
everytime! When using the SmartSwitch and clicking on the phone it does say the phone is up to date. So my questions are..
a) Why I get notification on phone, and Samsung SmartSwitch says the opposite?
b) Should I ignore the notifications and just live with the nag message?
c) Should I disable notifications for this, and stop it from appearing?
d) How to go about doing that>
Any suggestions/ideas (other than replacing the phone) are appreciated.
Thank you.

Samsung Galaxy J3 Pro keeps on rebooting & has turned unusable!

Hi All,
The phone was problematic even after Reset(s) to factory condition. It used to reboot randomly launching apps, etc. I made all the Google Play updates successfully but the Samsung updates ( phone settings ) always failed.
Then I decided to use 'Samsung Smart Switch' ( Windows + Android Utility ) ( Official Downloads ). When I used the utility, it found some 2GB firmware update for the phone which was never listed from within the phone settings. I was quite hopeful but while making updates, it got hung at 'Preparing software environment for updates' for 2:30 hours. My computer's fans were running like anything so i got afraid & disconnected the phone. Probably, I halted the firmware updation in the middle & now I understand that. Since then the phone is almost unusable, rebooting every few seconds.
Undoubtedly, I am ready for the hard work & want to get my phone back to the usable state but am totally unaware as what are my options.
I also want to know the possibilities of getting it back to the usable state anyway.
Thanks for all the help & information!
A Firmware flash from Download Mode & ODIN did the trick. Thanks to the forum!

Please anyone help me ASAP in an Emergency | Mobile not switching on from morning

Hi,
My mobile which was working fine till last night. Today morning without no reason its not switching on.
Make and model : Lenovo A7700 (2016)
OS : Android 6
There is no issue with battery or display or any part, it's was just on the table whole day idle. No physical damages.
All of sudden it's not switching on. When connected to charge even the logo needs to come if battery Is drained but its acting like a brick. If the display is the problem then atleast while connecting to charge the vibration needs to come. So there is no problem with display or battery.
Tried all the possible ways to turn on, nothing helped. When connected to PC it says last device you tried to connect was malfunctioned.
What happened actually all of sudden in one night.
I have done nothing recently with my phone nothing absolutely. It was just on the table. Last night I charged my phone and after Charing completed unplugged and kept as it was.
Please anyone help me so many documents are there in the internal storage which atleast I need to transfer to another phone.
Please kindly anyone help me with this ASAP.
Thank you in advance.
P.S : My mobile is not rooted or side loaded with anything. It's just as it is from the start. As mentioned earlier nothing absolutely nothing I done with mobile. My mobile had scheduled switch on and off feature so it will switch off on night 1o clock and turns on morning 6 o clock that was enabled many years ago and till yesterday no problem. But it today it switched off at 1 o clock AM with full charge and when I tried to turn on manually it's is not working.
Please Help me anyone to atleast recover data from internal storage.
