After root my v10 I really love more then before because root bring me to Manny options for Theming my V10 make feel my phone lake on others level .

Yeah I wait for cm 13 as well but to be honest I like it the stock too with modifications lake I said on the post

Coming from G3, almost didn't go to to LG because of it. This thing is a whole different world of awesome. Things that overheated and throttled my G3 don't even warm this thing up, and best part, no data issues going from WiFi to mobile!!! Love the second screen too. Now when I'm navigating and streaming Bluetooth at the same time, I can change tracks without leaving nav app, notifications don't interrupt games/videos...Extremely happy so far!

Yeah I'm agree with you I love the second screen its one's of the things why I get this phone and I like to see my name on the top ? of the screen lol
Need to point out that realistically it is only a 5 inch screen.
With controls and second screen. You effectively have only a 5 inch screen with a whole lot of bulk. Granted the internals are great. Although it is not in any way a 5.7 inch screen. Great phone, but let down on such a massive phone with effectively no more screen area than a S4.
Not to mention. NO blinking notification and no temperature or humidity sensors. Infered is marginal at best.

Umm, no, it's not a 5" screen. The main screen is 5.7" minus how much space the buttons at the bottom take up, which is like any other phone not made my Samsung.
The second screen is a completely independent 2.1" screen. Please don't spread misinformation.
And they didn't put a led light because that is what the second screen is partly for. And if you want all those sensors, get a Samsung.
Sounds like you need to do more research before you buy a $600+ smartphone only to be disappointed for you own lack of research.

Actually, if you go get yourself a tape measure, the 5.7 doesn't include the second screen... And if you're really tech savvy, you can hide the navigation bar when you aren't using it... So on both of those counts, you are wrong... Also, all your notifications appear on the second screen, which to me is more convenient than a blinking light, since I don't even need to open my phone to check my notifications. And also, the infrared controls my stuff from anywhere in the living room, which works fine for me... Considering Samsung no longer has this option, it's a plus. Other than that, sorry to ruin your phone bash, have a super day.

This phone made me love it. My G3 started getting the BSOD and honestly I'd planned switch to a Samsung S7 Edge in March, or whenever it is released. Went to the store to try to get a used G4 just to hold me off until then but they didn't have any. Walked out with the V10. Unlocked bootloader, flashed TWRP and SU and have been loving it ever since. I'm not really sure why because aside from the standard faster processor, gig more memory and slightly larger screen, it wasn't that much different from my G3 but I've really grown to like this thing. Second screen is the phone's first bullet point but it's kind of gimmicky and I don't really have a use for it, but besides that stuff just seems to work better on the V10. It doesn't have Bluetooth connection issues like my G3 did, phone doesn't heat a small room under heavy use, and I'm not clearing apps to free up 200mb more memory all day. Call quality is great, quick charge is awesome, and the 5.7" screen is really, really, really nice. A louder and clearer speaker is the only thing the G3 did better but the V10's will do. So I've warmed up to my step child and really not thinking about the S6/S7 at the moment.

You do know that the screen + the second screen measure to 5.9 inches right? I have a S4 also and the screen is alot bigger on the V10 than the S4...

I agree with you. I come from the nexus 6 and so far I love this phone but the lack of custom Rom and development is kind of ?.
Bought mine during launch week, and was disappointed it had major issues: second-screen bleed was bad, and the speaker sounded really distorted. Then a month later the wireless charging chip died.
T-Mobile replaced it with a brand new unit manufactured in late December and it is absolutely perfect. No bleed at all, speaker is crystal-clear. Loving it, especially the camera!
Started out with Lg G2 d800,loved that phone sold it and got lg g3 D850 awesome phone.. Finally decided to get the v10,its very smooth, fast, beautiful display, whenever i take pictures my friends are stunted by how beautiful and rich the photos come out. Manual controls on camera and video, dual front face camera, removable battery , sdcard support, slick and premium design over kill. This is by far the best device i have ever owned since day one 'htc touch pro2' ... Im really impressed with this phone...
I upgraded from a Nexus 6. My first experience with LG (Android wise) was with the G2 and the Flex. So going to the V10 was easy. My only caveat is the fact that I moved back to 5.1.1 when I've been on 6.0.1 for a bit. Can't wait for some decent roms to truly use this phones full potential.
I almost gave up on androind OS after two generations of Samsung Galaxy devices, Note 3 and until today Note 4. The update from Kitkat ruined the Note 4 experience completely for me, if anything left me frustrated. Ive reached an age whereby I just want something to do as it says on the box, typing on the Note 4 became a nightmare for me, tiny space bar mistyping all the time. Wifes Iphone 6plus was appealing but thought Id try another brand of Droid. Earlier today walked out of the T Mobile store with a new V10.
I'm not sure if this is where this question belongs but anyway:
My favorite phone I've ever had was the Nexus 6p. I loved how big and wide it was. I loved how easily I could root and flash custom roms to it. I loved all the modification of the OS I could do to it. I currently have the 8+, but am looking for an upgrade. The pixel XL 3 is probably going to be if not 700+ close to it. So, would you say the 6t (not out yet) and 6 OnePlus is similar? Is it easy to root, good screen, battery life etc? Is it over hyped? What is your opinion.

Battery life --> isn't the best, but it's good.
Over hyped? --> never!?
I'm guessing it'll cost more for very similar to identical internal hardware.
The only things that would get me to upgrade are a battery 4000+mAh, a MUCH much better camera (like, it'd have to be the best on the market by far for sure, I'm pretty happy with the OP6 camera), or if it somehow ended up cheaper than the OP6. And even for me to upgrade then, I'd have to accidentally break my OP6 first for me to spend that much money again.

What about charging it? Can you use a regular cable? I don't like that you have to use the propitary hardware. Especially since I'm currently upgrading my home to use power outlets among other reasons.
I think the 6 and 6t will be similar in most ways. I mainly see 2 aspects that can make a difference:
1. the removal/loss of the rear fingerprint scanner.
I'm pretty pissed by that. I don't know if banking apps will let you use it for example (the apps will have to be updated/modified because the bottom half of the screen will have to make way for an area on the bottom where you need to place your finger on the screen to unlock). of course apps will adapt to the front in-screen fingerprint scanner but who knows how fast this will happen.
Plus no more fingerprint gestures while the phone is on (pulling down status bar, single traps, double taps,...).
Also, the in screen scanner is going to be slower than the standard rear scanners and when you grab your phone in your pocket where you can now just unlock it by feeling the spot in the back (and the phone comes unlocked and with screen on when it's in front of your face) you will have to actually look at the screen and place your finger on the exact spot where it has to rest in order for it to unlock. Don't see the point in that because face unlock would most likely unlock during that moment of search and press.
2. maybe this point is false, but possibly there will be more development for the 6t due to the fact that it will be available to a much wider audience being offered by t-mobile in the US. so far OnePlus phones have not been available in any US phone carrier store so way more people are going to actually see a OnePlus at the place they usually go to look for phones.
I don't expect the camera to be better than in the 6.
The phone's speed will be identical since it's using the same hardware.
You're missing out on the 3.5mm headphone jack in case that's important to you. And perhaps they will add wireless charging with the 6t (we'll see).
I had a Nexus 6P before as well.
Personally I find the screen ratio of the nexus better than the 19:9 from OP6.
Both are missing a sd-slot although the OP6 is dual sim but both slots are sim only.
Screen quality is good but compared to Samsung it is just average. Not sure if it's the quality or the colour adjustments.
I often have non-recognized touch inputs but this could be due to the screen protector it comes with. I will remove mine and see if it gets better.
The fingerprint reader has it bugs as well when it does not recognize my finger and ask for the pin. Something I never had with my nexus.
Audio speaker quality is ok not more. Better use earphones.
Camera is good but by far not the best.
Rooting is easy but a bit different because of a/b slots. You get used to it after first flash (or boot loop ).
Battery life is good for me.
USB is USB type C but it is a USB2.0 connection so HDMI adapters and stuff are not working (at least not for me).
Volume slider is a nice extra.
OOS is quite good too altough I completly debloated it with xXx magisk custom rom.
Would I buy it again?
Yes. The hardware package is very good compared to it'sprice.
My next phone needs a sd-slot again. I hope OP thinks about that again...
Will I upgrade to OP6T?
No. No need for me. And the missing audio jack is a no go for me at this time .

1) I agree wholeheartedly. A rear fingerprint scanner placed properly is better than anything up front.
The counterargument usually goes - if your phone is lying on your desk, then it is easier to unlock it without picking it up.
My counter-counterargument is that if you want to unlock the phone, because you saw a notification, you probably would want to pick it up anyway. In other words, if the phone is requiring your unlocked activities, you would probably want to pick it up.
One exception that immediately jumps to my mind - you see a Gmail notification, and you want to read the full text without picking up the phone... I suppose that happens. Sometimes.
2) T-Mobile is probably a very small carrier compared to Asia, where these phones are mostly sold.

Yes u can use a non OP cable and block but it won't fast charge.

I previously had a Galaxy S8+, upgraded to Note8 and then upgraded to OnePlus 6. This is the first phone in ages that I've really liked, even though it has a bit smaller screen than I would really like.
Compared to the Samsung S8+/Note8:
The screen isn't as good as Samsungs in direct sunlight. On samsung I never had to brighten the screen to read on screen, but with OP6 it is necessary. No big deal though.
No SD-card slot.
No wireless charging.
But everything else is just simply better! Better battery life, snappier android, We've got PIE! samsung go eat your Oreos. Lots of customization with ROMs. Easy bootloader unlock and root, no hassle getting the latest official roms, no regrets from me, I'm on the OnePlus train now!

Sure. You can use regular cable, but the loading speed is slow.
Fast charging works with original charger only.
6T is supposed to have an even faster charger.

The OP6 can be had for 510$ while the 6T will cost around 550€.
If you want the jack and don't care about in-screen fp sensor, the OP6 is a better choice.

Hello guys I want to buy a pixel for a second phone to use in my car and for music in general , buying it used doesn't give me a lot of options its either a cracked screen on the top right or one that states wifi and bluethoot are not working and its flawless on the outside. So is it fixable or should i avoid it ?
If you're asking whether the phone is fixable, yes it is. Unfortunately, the process of taking apart the phone involves removing the screen, which is very difficult to do without cracking it. Many people have tried to repair their own Pixel, and ended up breaking their screen.
If you want it for music, what about a used LG V20 or V30?

Well i was looking for a v20 but there are no used ones where I live and the v30 is kinda pricey for me (and my main phone is a Galaxy S8) ,the other phones im looking into for my region are the LG G5 and the older Nexus 6P but im leaning towards the G5 because of the removable battery and also for the same price G5 comes with all accesories and a cam plus module . The reason i wanted a pixel was because of the software and the development that comes from the community.I was also looking for a HTC 10 because it has a good dac but i've had my time before with one that belonged to a friend and the phone throttled too much for it to be bearable just browsing ''olx'' (the app i use for used things) made it throttle to the point where i had to wait like 2-3 seconds for it to respond on me pressing backwards so if im using it in the car with gps navigation + spotify or youtube i can't image what kind of throttling ill get.
Its kinda of a late respond guess the power saving things i've done on the s8 don't allow gmail to send notifications .

It's been a while since I last posted on here, and in attempting to avoid a pessimistic undertone, the G7 Power is actually a really good phone: the battery really does last for ages (I charge it once every two days, and it has never been below 40%), and it is surprisingly loud (everywhere). I am a pretty casual user now, rarely playing games or other media, but I am impressed with the difference compared to upgrading from a Moto G4. Some apps which appear as though they were designed for more premium screens - logos, icons, widgets - definitely lose some fidelity around the edges and these can look a bit poor on the 720p screen, but I have become oblivious (or distracted from) a lot of the finer details already.
And now the question: where, and how, would I be able to repair a cracked screen?
It feels like a pretty silly question; but the screen has 'developed' a crack from the bottom-right corner of the new notch, to about 2cm underneath the power button.
I say develop, as the phone is always within eyesight or kept in a pocket. It has never been dropped onto a surface harder than a pillow, and the case/screen protectors are still yet to arrive. It has been in my possession for about 12 days, and it lasted for 6/7 of those. I still have no clue when or why the crack appeared.
The question is a combination of where/when/how, I have contacted Motorola Technical Support, and explained the situation leading up to the cracked screen. The response was (exactly): "we do not process repair of the screen, what we offer is replacement of the whole device", they also said that this service will cost a fee (shipping + device) depending on the IMEI information. A single crack on the screen resulting in the replacement of a whole device seems pretty excessive, and the support member did not acknowledge that it is a brand new phone, or that it is* under warranty.
This is the first cracked screen from all previous handsets, so I am not sure what to do: is there any way to avoid replacing the whole device? How does this effect any warranty? What if I/whomever repairs the device creates other issues? When would services and replacement parts become available? XDA always has a someone whom is knowledgeable in these areas, and it would be great to hear some helpful advice from the community on how to proceed,

I repair a lot of phones as a hobby. And phone that are assembled front to back are hard as hell to fix. You have to remove pretty much everything to get to the screen. Contrast that with something like the Pixel phone where the screen is connected last. You just have to pry up the screen and unplug the cable. Fixing the screen on the Moto G7 may not be worth it.
My recommendation is to use your phone as long as you can and then buy a new one. Hopefully by then it will not be as expensive as it is now. I know, it is not much of a solution...

The solution provided by the company was just to buy a new phone; which was not very helpful at all. My collection of screen protectors arrived, and the one on the phone is a lot more robust than the original screen.

I have the moto g7 and I have replaced the screen four times, and I'm getting another screen in the mail this weekend, because this *[email protected]_-HJN' SUCKS DONKEY WHATEVER. I like the phone, but for some reason, the screen doesn't like to stay in one piece. All you need is a hair dryer and a new screen. Amazon has them. But you have to watch out; there are counterfeits out there. Buy from two different vendors, and return the counterfeit. Here's how to tell: make sure the printing on the ribbon cable is the same as the one you're replacing. Make sure that the printing on the back plate is the same as the original. You won't know until you take the screen off, which replacement is legit. But it's just one connector and some glue. Way easy, or mail it to me and I'll fix it.
So the cat knocked my OP7P off the bedside table while it was charging which has screwed up the charging port (have confirmed it isn't the cable) and now it will barely charge, so I'm in need of a new phone.
I'm liking that the Asus ROG Phone 5/5S has a 144 Hz screen and a huge battery. But:
With the resolution, is the 1080 × 2448 ok? Do you see the pixels at all? Like is it completely smooth?
Also, with the software, does when you enable invert colours mode and blue light filter mode (might be called night mode, alternatively) at the same time (try it on a white background with black text) does the blue light filter mode apply over the invert colours mode (thus making the text red) or does it apply under the invert colours mode (thus making text appear blue), or does invert colours ignore the blue light filter mode (working like it is disabled)?
And how is the battery? What is screen on time like when for example just web browsing or watching YouTube in 144 Hz mode? What is the SoT like when it is on 60 Hz mode. (I ask because my OP7P has crappy SoT when in 120 Hz mode.)
And finally, how is Asus software 2-3 years out from release. I like to keep my phones for about 2 years, how do you think the software support will be 2 years from now (given that the 5 is now almost a year old)? Regarding smoothness and Android version updates in particular.
Edit: does the 5S have a Tencent version? I haven't been able to find any info saying there is, and the site I'll be buying from offers the Tencent version of other phones but not this one.

the oneplus 7 pro is still a great phone by today's standards, why dont you try getting the port repaired? it wont be too expensive.
i dont own an rog phone 5s, but from my experience with oth 1080p and 1440p phone screens, you cant really tell the difference - heck you cant even see the pixels too clearly on a 720p screen. i thought my old phone was 1080p when comparing it with my 1080p phone, turns out mine was 720p the entire time! So yeah, the screen should be just fine.
One thing i will warn you about is that "gaming phones" usually dont have the best cameras, for example, you wont be getting OIS in the rog 5s, whereas your oneplus 7 pro does have that. gamging phones are more about maximising performance, whereas normal flagships are all-rounders. no doubt tho, the rog 5s will surely be faster than your 7 pro (mainly in games), as it has the 888+ chipset
why dont you try getting the port repaired? it wont be too expensive

There are no authorised service centres available in my country, unfortunately, and if I'm going to have to back up and restore data I want to do it to a new phone, not the same phone (this is because I don't like to send my phone in to places that require your lock code, which all the places in my country ask for when doing a repair, so I wipe the phone before I send it in).
Also, I didn't want to wait on the parts which could take like 1-2 months based on the estimates I'm getting from eBay (no parts shops for OnePlus in my country) like at the rate that this port is getting worse, I'll need a new phone before the parts arrive
I could try to repair it myself (I worked in a phone repair shop once), like I think I could get the back off without damaging it I suppose I have nothing to lose other than the back glass lol
And, wow, I didn't realise it didn't have OIS. That sucks big time. Considering the OP10 (when it's out) instead now lol
Anyway, you're right, I'll try to repair it first, then if that fails then I'll get a new phone
I don't think they'd need your lock code to change a charging port tho, all they have to do is test if it works after the repair
If you want to sell the oneplus let me know LOL

Yeah, true. Though what plays on my mind was that we were authorised repairers for a few manufacturers, and certain manufacturers (can't remember which ones) required a freaking software reset to complete simple repairs like that. Like hwhat. I suppose I could have asked OnePlus, but I also don't have a spare phone to use while it's sent away.
Either way, I bought the part (charging port+flex and rear adhesive) and I'm gonna try the repair lol.
if the charging port is attached to the flex, then it shouldnt be too tough. be sure to look for a disassembly guide for your phone, so that you dont damage it. use plenty of heat (but not too much) and be careful when prying on the back of the phone as replacing the glass will cost you, and its near impossible to reapply broken glass after removing it, as if you break it during removal it will be completely destroyed by the time you get it off your phone. cheap chinese picks break easily, so if your buying those then buy a couple, and make sure to get the triangular ones, as they are the most effective. its also worth it to use a suction cup to pull the glass back, as it prevents you from possibly putting uneven pressure or damaging the back glass.

Would a hair dryer be enough to heat the rear of the phone to a serviceable temperature?
it should be possible, although it would be both tricky and risky. depends on how strong the adhesive is i guess
