and your sdcard will be messed up to /0/0/0/.......
so you can't restore from backup. same went with my own port.
i wait until this is fixed
This has worked flawlessly on my I9500 and I'm loving it. Unfortunately had it reboot on me once 5mins after flashing it but everything else is okay! :victory:
Nevermind, my phonenever recovered from the first reboot as it stayed in a bootloop. I did the procedure 2 more times and each time, after about 10secs the phone goes into a bootloop

Thread you mentioned is closed and links not working.
Link shared by me is working. XDA is open forum. Repetition of topic is to be avoided (if something is working). XDA doesn't stops you for sharing something outside XDA.
As per XDA rules we should be respectful to each other in sharing and giving comments

thanks for let us know this mod...i'm trying and phone is flying so far.
I just flashed on Sprint Note 3 (N900P) running Jellybomb 1.0.0 with permissive kernal running Wanam Xposed & I had no problems. I will let it settle in for a bit to report performance.
I did lose root after flashing & rebooting, but the .zip linked above fixed that. I just wiped cache and dalvik, and fixed permissions after flashing the mod (might have been overkill, but I am experiencing no problems). Thanks for this!

Can someone tell me the commands for terminal emulator to copy the boost apn and htclibril files to my ext sd then paste back into there respective locations.
Sent from my C525c using xda app-developers app
the apns are wrote into the frameworks app....I think....in the form of an
.xml file
you'd have to decompile the apk or jar, I can't remember, then recompile it with the new apns.....
then just install using any root explorer and setting correct permissions.....
the RIL files, I have no ideas on this
Its in the framework-res.apk
Sent from my C525c using Tapatalk
---------- Post added at 08:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:34 PM ----------
And if you are planning to change the apn/xml file and then recompile it in regards to the port Rom - then a heads up that the port Rom already comes with that modification
Sent from my C525c using Tapatalk
---------- Post added at 08:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:35 PM ----------
If using a deodex clean Rom for our device, then just grab the apk and odex files from the port and deodex it - though if you wish to do all of this from scratch, then I say go for it. Good learning experience to get your hands dirty lol.
Sent from my C525c using Tapatalk
---------- Post added at 08:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:38 PM ----------
@rickberg
When you decompile the app, you will find it here:
/framework-res.apk/res/xml/apn.xml
I want you to know though, that this will only really give you the ability to send and recieve text messages and what not. Doesn't fix the buggy calls on the port.

@Russelvone: thank you, I'm getting itchy with some things I want to try I'm waiting for my new pc to get back from my it guy I didn't know if there was a way to do it through the emulator or not

@Modding.MyMind that was my plan so this post is closed lol both of those files are already in your base Rom.

No problem. Will work for odex, deodex, frameworks, etc, etc. Its a very nice tool. Just unzip it. Place it on the root of your internal sdcard. Go inside the apktool folder and you will see the app. Click it, install it, and voila. Do not delete the contents on the sdcard (they are required).
