When I engage the recent apps menu on the navigation panel, the speakers dim down. I don't know how to fix it without a reboot. It usually happens when I'm playing a game, specifically Boom Beach. Mid game if i press the recent apps button the sound dims down without the volume slider being adjusted. Is there a fix for this or if anyone knows what I'm talking about any help would be appreciated.
I have the same issue while playing Magic Rush Heroes and Iron Force game. Need help please!

Can anyone please help, I have a XDA-2 but the volume slider on the side keeps getting stuck in the down position, (its not permenently stuck, if you push up the slider goes up, but then when you let go the sometimes the volume goes down all by its self) I have enabled the sound so that when you push one of the hardware button it makes a "click" sound, i did this to check that it was the button causing the problem not software.
Its a real problem because it just changes the volume to off so unless you keep looking at it and adjust the volume back up you miss all your alarms and messages.
I have it set to go to sleep after 5 mins, But oftern in this time the button decides to hold its self in the down position so the device never turns off and you end up with a flat battery.
On reading other posts there seems to be a long wait for phones to be repaired (its out of time to just swop for a new one) I never had a slider on the XDA-1 so i would not miss it on the XDA-2, so dose anyone know how to disable the slider, i dont realy wont to take it apart and remove the slider
Any help or ideas please
Thanks
John
Anyone got any ideas, or do i just use a pair of side cutter?????
I bought and used GScroll for a while and liked it... but ran into a few too many issues with that program active. Often when I wanted to hit a button and my finger slightly slid over the button, it would do a left/right movement or up/down movement.
I read of another app from here that makes the call and end buttons act as left/right buttons. But that application appears to only be designed for game use. As in, when you're done playing the game, you close the app.
Is there anything similar to that yet that runs all the time? I think the perfect app would replace the phone buttons with the following:
A long press of the green or red button would do the normal phone duties.
A quick press of the green or red button imitates a left or right press.
Is there anything out there yet that does that?
hello,
i just wanted to ask, if there was a program that would re assign the hardware buttons (or just one) to make the music player pause while the screen lock is on? i get quite annoyed when walking around, or into market, listening to music, and then when i have to pay, i have pull my hd2 out, unlick the screen, scroll over the music app, and then hit pause... lock the screen again, and put it back in my pocket... just to do the same thing again as soon as im done paying.
i could take my headphones off (earbuds) but that is getting annoying really quickly too. i just thought if one you reassign the home button. or the call send button to play/pause the music player... and/or the others to skip tracks, without unlocking the screen. (similair to the volume rocker)
and, i once saw (or think i did) an app that would make the volume changing less dramatic, so it wasnt such a huge difference between one click up and one down... like 1db or something (or one bar i dunno)... because i would like to find a nice volume in the middle, but an stuck with: none, low, medium, or high.
any help woudl be greatly appreciated.
sorry if its the wrong section.
thanks!
yeah great idea!
Hi guys how's everybody. The Mate 30 Pro one of the phones that is in my list for my future flagship. It had most of the things I think a phone like that should have BUT they removed the damn volume buttons and it is a bit concerning for me. So I have some question...
1 - How easy is it to volume up and down? Does it fail a lot to recognize your double touch?
2 - Is there anybody like me that usually control the volume with the phone in the pocket? How is it for you to now remove the phone from your pocket all the time?
3 - is there a way to hide the volume panel?
Thanks for the attention guys
I expected it will be worse. You can change volume level on both sides of phones. Of course you can't do this in pocket, but... When you listening to music, you have control in headphone buttons, bluetooth headphones also allow control volume. Good thing is You can change easy volume when you call to someone. You tap twice and side panel of phone changes to slider - you no need see screen to adjust volume. I think buttons are of course better, but i can live without them It's not big problem for me.
I quite like them, actually...I'm left handed so it is nice to be able to change the volume on the left of the phone...and on the right if I happen to have it in that hand.
..similarly for the 'back' gesture - it works on both left and right edges and is very convenient, IMO.
I do still, sometimes, have to try twice, to get the volume slider to come up, but I suspect I'll get it right 100% soon enough (I've only had it a week or so).
Is there any way to lock the media volume to off or disable the media volume from adjusting its self back up? When playing some games there are ads that pop up and show video for 30 seconds and when that happens I have to lower the volume down to 0. After a few minutes I notice on the next ad the volume is back on and at the same level it was previously. This is very annoying.
In the game launcher you can mute the volume completely. No game sounds or add sounds. Just make sure sound is muted in the game launcher
