TWRP 3.0.0.0 is not working in Redmi 1s - General Questions and Answers

Hello Friends,
I updated Redmi 1s to twrp 3.0.0.0 custom recovery and tried to restore cm13 rom backup and miui 7. Unable to restore both backup via twrp. But installed (flashed) miui 7 global ROM via twrp 3.0.0.0. God grace everything gone well and it's working fine. I rechecked the twrp 3.0 but my Redmi booted into Mi recovery. Since then I tried to install twrp as update. zip through mi recovery, it says unable to update. Tried many times but nothing happens.
Please advise me how to flash which version of twrp and get access to port Roms.
Thanks and regards

TWRP 3.0.0.0
The above thread I asked for a help for my redmi 1s how to flash twrp 3.0 as I tried to flash through mi recovery, updater and fastboot mode. Nothing gone in my way. At lost I succeed by rooting with good and saviour app and flashed twrp 3.0.0.0 via flashify. Now I got the twrp and able to flash. But I have a problem with the twrp 3, when I do backup and restore, it is fine with backup but getting error while restore. Still working out to find solution.

TWRP
I have flashed lower version of twrp 2.8.7.0 instead of 3.0 . Now I am not getting any kind of error message if I do a backup, restore, wipe or install. So if anyone come across such problems do the same.

Cannot boot into TWRP after flashing CM12.1 nightly

Hi.
Today I wanted to upgrade from CM11 to CM12.1, but I had to upgrade the bootloader first. It all worked and I'm now on bootloader version 41.18.
When I flashed the ROM it flashed in 20 seconds from an USB stick. It seemed a little to fast. When I rebooted it worked fine and I was on Android 5.1.1, but after installing SuperSU and rebooting I stuck into a bootloop.
I'm now in a bootloop and when I try to enter the recovery the TWRP splash screen comes up, but then it goes into the bootloop again.
I have the XT1032 and my TWRP version is 2.8.6.0 and I have a TWRP backup from CM11
If someone could push me in the right direction how I can access TWRP then that would be great.
Thanks in advance.
Quick update
The phone now booted into TWRP, but when I do a restore to my backup the phone goes back to the bootloop. The same happens when I try to wipe.

I have the same issue, cannot get into twrp, how did you managed to boot into TWRP?
i had same issues in my moto g xt1032 i tried below CM12.1 works without issues.
go recovery --- wipe---- format data
and try step install steps like install rom zip & gapps
Ok, first what do you use to flash recovery, can you reflash recovery with the lastest TWRP version (2.8.7.0) and post back the logs here? Then tell me if you can get into recovery
Its common place that twrp cause bootloop with backups.
No problem try to
Install new twrp using fastboot mode it will be work fine

Nexus 5 in Bootloop after unlocking and installing TWRP 2.8.7.1

Hello,
I wanted to install a custom Rom on my Nexus 5 running Android 6.0 so I downloaded TWRP latest and unlocked the Bootloader and installed TWRP.
Now the OS doesn't bootup anymore and the TWRP starts but gets rebooted all the time.
Tried to install an older TWRP version 2.8.70 and sideloaded and installed Pure Nexus Rom but this doesn't fix the problem.
Wiping anything from TWRP gives error messages...
Anyonw can help please!?
OK I have the stock recovery now installed from Android 6.0 and the OS boots up with Pure Nexus... looks OK,...
Anyway what's the problem with TWRP now!?
I don't think so. TWRP 2.8.7.1 is working fine for months. Did you full wipe before flashing your custom rom? Did you flash something else?
U need to install twrp 2.8.4.0 first because twrp 2.8.7.1 can only re-write on twrp 2.8.4.0 or higher..its work fine for me at official google M

That happened to me way back when I first used TWRP. From the official TWRP thread:
"If you have just used fastboot oem unlock, you should let the device boot up normally first before trying to install TWRP."
I think if you don't boot fully once before trying to install TWRP, it loops like that.

Twrp won´t read partitions on oppo r7 plusf.

Hello everyone, i have a problem installing twrp officiall from twrp.me and could not find any thread on my problem. None of the img. files will work when i boot from fatstboot, they boot up allright but i can´t do anything, twrp can´t read partitions. View attachment 3638514
From what i can understand my phone is a r7plusf and not r7plusm. And i got the unoficiall twrp from link in post 2 to work so that i was able to backup but it can´t mount cache so i can´t wipe or flash anyway.
So i decided to try to flash cm13 latest nightly with cm recovery 13, but it failed. I made backups of stock recovery via flashfy. Then i made nandroid bakup via twrp unofficial. I then rebooted and Flashed cm recovery With flashify and that worked. I then booted to cm recovery and wiped data/factory reset and it failed and got stuck. I waited for ca 10 min then was able to reboot system and phone was reset and wiped. I rebooted to cm recovery and tried to flash, failing again and bootloop.
Luckily fastboot still worked. I then booted unofficial twrp via fastboot and flashed latest cm nightly, and it failed, it could not find cache, bootloop still. As nothing else worked i thought it was best to restore nandroid, and gues what? Twrp unofficiall got stuck. By now i got a bit nervous. I was able to reboot twrp again via fastboot and this time restore worked, though it took quite some time before restoring actually began. All worked out well and i was able to restore stock recovery agin with flashify. I wonder if i have some odd batch phone???
Thankful for any input...

Got this info from app, it says oppo r7 plusm and oppo r7 plusf. confusing...
no sure if you already figured it out but I think u have an R7PlusF with the bootloader of an R7PlusM. go into the development thread of R7Plus and flash the recovery I posted there. Flash my English translation one via Fastboot. I'm 100% sure TWRP will work flawless for you with that version.
oh and edit that screenshot to hide your IMEI! you don't want to give out that information to the Internet ever!

OnePlus one does not go into recovery after updating it

Hello everyone, I'll tell you what happened
First I was in CM13.1, then I flashed to oxygen OS 3.1.4 custom
(When I flash the ROM, without warning me the recovery was updated to the version TWRP 3.0.3-2TugaPower, previously being in a version inferior to 2.8)
After logging in to the new recovery, I noticed that the recovery version was not on the TWRP page, so I decided to flash the most recent version of TWRP (twrp-3.1.1-0-bacon.img), flashe it through Android sdk (Fastboot), everything went well the pc recognized me the OPO in fastboot Mode and flashe the recovery without problems, the problem came when I try to enter the new recovery the OPO does not enter the recovery stays in the OnePlus Logo.
(Before updating the recovery I tried to restate the backup of my previous rom CM13.1 but when I was going to restart it it stays in the OnePlus logo, and when I go to recovery I fixed that in the section of "Mount" system is not checked , Active but still the same, and when I return to recovery is removed.)
I ask you if you can give me ideas to be able to have recovery again and revive my OPO plz.

I guess you didn't read the OP of Oxygen Os correctly,he clearly mentioned that this 'Tuga Power Recovery' is patched to work with Oxygen Os's firmware and one should not flash any other recovery. Now,what you can do is this,
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-ikULjZZlloNHpOdVBrTzQxZzQ/view?usp=drive_web
> Download This file, install it somewhere and run Revert-2-CM.exe. Make sure you have fastboot drivers installed or it wont work.Avoid using any Antivirus program while doing this as they might give false alarms. After this you'll be restored to TWRP then you can flash any rom you want. The reason due to which you weren't able to find 'TugaPower Recovery' on TWRP page is because this is an Unofficial Recovery.
Question
What does the program do with the OPO?
If you are familiar with fastboot commands, this method should work. Had my OnePlus in the same situation last night messing around with Efidroid. Phone was bootlooping. Efidroid boot menu as well as recovery mode were both inaccessible. I had tried several other things but none worked for me. *CAUTION: this method did ERASE my userdata.* I downloaded a fastboot-able stock full firmware zip, then manually reflashed device. My beloved OnePlus is no longer my daily driver but still my fave device to experiment with so I just used COS 13.1 file. After full reboot, I downloaded and flashed official TWRP. Device is fully functional again, but without OOS installed.

It'll change your firmware and alter your recovery to a functional TWRP.You'll lose Oxygen Os after doing this.Though you can use this anytime when not being able to flash TWRP.
What should i do
Thanks a lot thanks to the method you told me my OPO has recovery again really thanks, but I have a question, I still in the TugaPower recovery, should I flash the stock recovery or the newest version of TWRP?
Because I do not know if flashing again the TWRP will happen the same

Did you have magisk Installed before?
Format data (not wipe) using TWRP. Then flash OOS zip, then TWRP zip. It should work fine.
