Gear Manager not working!! - Samsung Gear S2

Ok, Last night my Gear manager for my Gear S2 said that it was updating and then closed. I open it several times and it did the same thing! So I thought it was frelled! I removed all components of the Gear manager from my phone and any added software also rest my S2! Nothing Happened, went to the Gplay store an downloaded the gear manager again and now it installs but after I blue-tooth connects to my S2 it says make sure your phone is compatible! it is a VZ Note Edge a Samsung device that is not rooted or messed with. I need ideas and help or someone with a direct line to Samsung to ***** slap them! thanks

I too have this problem. Apparently a problem with the version of Gear App Manager specifically for Samsung phones.
I spent over an hour with Samsung support via their Live Chat tool. Bottom line is that their new version of the Gear App is flawed and they pulled it from their site. There is no working version of the app available at this time. I was told that a working version would be posted in a few hours. But I am not holding my breath.
If you HAVE A SAMSUNG PHONE, and you see this download failure, and your STILL HAVE BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY, then DO NOT UNINSTALL the Gear App or you will lose all connectivity!
I tried the recommended process of using the Internet App on my phone, going to 'apps.samsung.com/Gear' and then attempting to download the Gear Manager App specifically intended for Samsung phones. I got an error message that "Product does not exist in store (4002)". Even their tech support people were surprised by this.
I also downloaded the version of Gear App on Goggle Play. It did install but will not connect to the watch. Error message is "Check if your phone is compatible and if the Samsung Gear app needs to be updated, then try again."
I will attach pics of both attempts.

Thank you it is nice to hear I'm not crazy and some one is working on it.

I should have come here first. Ended up reseting phone and watch, and now I'm stuck. Great phone (note 4) and great watch (s2 classic) but wtf Samsung. Get this fixed ASAP! I already miss having a good looking smart watch on my wrist that's usable.

Made my "Smart Watch" a very dumb watch real quick.

Try being in the habit of looking at your wrist everytime you hear your phone go off or to check the time and slap your self thinking ****!!

Different Error Msg
Now when I attempt to download Gear App Manager from the Samsung site 'apps.samsung.com/Gear', instead of the error message "Product does not exist in this store.", I get a different error message "This app not available for your device."

I hate Samsung with the power of 1000 suns.
I should have come here first. Like many of you, I tried to download the update, then uninstalled Gear Manager, then soft-reset both watch and phone and found myself well and truly hosed. I called Samsung and waited on hold for 20 minutes then explained my problem to one tech, who transferred me to another tech, who transferred me to the Galaxy Apps Support, who told me that she couldn't help me with an app I didn't download from the Galaxy store and hung up on me. I called back, waited on hold for 20 minutes, explained the whole ordeal again, and the tech said she would have to research it and call me back in 24-48 hours.

These are my errors, Frellin Samsung!

Just finished another long chat session with another Samsung technical support supervisor. Their problem has gotten worse in that they posted an updated version of Gear App Manager, but most people are getting the new error message "This app not available for your device." So the Samsung support center continues to be flooded with phone calls and support chat requests.
Again they say a fix should be posted in a few hours.
I don't believe them.

Yup, just spent about 3 hours with att technical store. They are not aware of this issue! They had me factory reset my S2 and now it will not work. Damn Samsung! I have a useless Gear S2 Classic S2 3G version. Only S7 with Marshmallow will connect.

LOL or *cry* - I've been on the phone with them for 80 minutes, mostly on hold for tier 2 support. So do I continue to hold (knowing they likely don't have a fix) OR do I hang up?

If you can stay and report back to us what they tell you. I still can't believe I have it completely unusable watch. It doesn't even tell time. At this moment unless you have an S7 comma if someone tells you to factory reset your watch you have no way to set it up

I gave up on the phone call. I will try again tomorrow. I have now used three methods to contact them: Chat, Phone, and "e-mail". Chat actually produced the most interaction, but still no solution.

thanks for all the help

FIXED! (sort of)
Finally, Samsung has the right App out there.
If you have Samsung Galaxy Apps, you should be able to get the update to Gear Apps Manager there.
If not, (Verizon customers) on your phone open either Internet app or Chrome and go to apps.samsung.com/gear . Then select the the version for Galaxy Devices. Should then see this:
This will download and install Samsung Gear ver 2.2.16022241. When the app is installed and then opened, it downloaded two more pieces of software which were then installed to the phone. (click on the prompts on both the phone and watch) This loads some update software to watch, but does NOT install a new version of the watch software.
BIG ISSUE: this updater removed ALL my watch faces from both the phone AND the watch. I will need to download and reinstall all my faces. (This may be due to the fact that I deleted the prior version of Gear App Manager and that likely deleted the associated "Data", ie watch faces)

UPDATE!!
So I have kept my watch off all day, turning it on and re-establishing a new connection from scratch every couple of hours to see if anything updated. And suddenly, IT WORKS NOW!
I had google play do auto updates earlier, and I didn't see Samsung Gear in the list of apps updated (it was long enough some wheren't on the notification screen), but I ran the app, and suddenly it downloaded the 30mb+/- update!
Now its just stuck at connecting to the watch...
I'll give another update when I get further in the process...
UPDATE 2!!
It works. Huzzah! It got stuck at connecting to the gear after the initial update. So I closed down the software, unpaired the watch in bluetooth settings, and restarted the watch again. This time around it connected and everything went smoothly. Finally. Its nice to have my watch back in working order.
For now.

Yeah I got the one from the gplay, and it worked! Again Thanks to all!

Try factory resetting your watch, rebooting your phone, and checking again. Make sure that your galaxy app has updated and your phone is updated to the latest software os
I too can't find it in the app store.
Does anyone have a link to the most recent version's apk? It worked great for me with tizenmod 3.0

yup, did all that and then some. Still doesnt show in the samsung app store
I've reverted to this gear manager from July, seems to be working fine with notifications. I'd still like the most recent working apk, I think it was from october. obviously the new update broke something, so they're in the process of fixing it and releasing another update (at this point, gear manager is not in the galaxy app store)

When the gear manager wants to update, bring up the task list and swipe it away. Launch it again and it won't ask to update.

just a heads up, I uninstalled it again today and it showed in the app store and I reinstalled it and its back to working like normal. There is now an emergency notification system built in to the watch and the settings are in that menu.
I've been having the same problems. Firsrgear manager was crashing when trying to open settings. Then it wouldn't open at all. I uninstalled and reinstalled complete with full wipe and still nothing. I used the other build that someone provided a few posts back and that works for now. But now I'm noticing that the other watch face apps I use (MW and WS) have disappeared from the app store. Had anyone else noticed this?
Side question. I'm new to the gear 2, just purchased last week. If I was to reroot the gear and find an MW apk, is there a way to side load the MW apk without using the phone but still have the phone recognize it?
Newer Version makes it worse.
How do you keep the old version running when the warning box forces you to install the newest crap version that won't allow the connection? Mine is a brand new Black Friday Gear 2 Neo that was working fine at first, then wouldn't hold the connection. Now it won't connect at all. December update? I downloaded an older version and got them to connect, had everything connecting with the old version and then my phone got commandeered and the newest version just installed.

Thanks for the thought. I spent 3 hours a couple of nights ago with a nice Samsung tech who tried everything and then admitted he had had 4 calls that day from people whose Gear 2 would not connect to their phone after the latest (December 1, 2014) update. So in spite of all the updates, Samsung keeps making things worse instead of better.
The idea of swiping it off hasn't worked for me on my Note 3. But I have developed a workaround (not a solution) similar to the Ipse_Tase suggestion just above. I downloaded a really old version of Gear Manager at http://www.mediafire.com/download/yo17ta4qyrx50zj/GearManager1_2.apk , installed it, paired the device to the watch, and a connection was established. If you try to actually open the old Gear Manager after the pairing you will get a threatening warning screen saying they're going to delete everything from your Gear 2. But if you just leave the Gear Manager open and running with the warning screen on (don't click cancel or OK), use the phone normally with Gear Manager running, you can use the pre-installed Samsung programs on the watch. If I click cancel the Gear Manager closes and I have to start over. You can turn off automatic updates in the Galaxy App Store, but you'll still get the threatening message that they're going to hard reset your Gear 2. Just leave the message on the screen, let the program run, and use whatever other programs you want to on the phone.
Advantages: Your Gear is not a brick or just a time piece. You are paired. You're not hard resetting the device or trying to pair and connect all the time. You have access to Schedule, Notifications, Weather, Phone functions, S Voice, anything Samsung-based. You can control any app that can be adjusted from the watch itself.
Disadvantages: You can't change or adjust any app that would have to be done from the phone. Third party apps don't work because you can't use the Galaxy App store to get them or install/run them.
But it's better than nothing until Samsung gets its act together and provides an update that actually improves things rather than bricking your watch.
Has anyone found a way to actually use an older version of Gear Manager to download apps, manage the watch, etc. since all the recent updates seem to cut off the bluetooth connection?
Fluke Recovery
I decided to try to install the newest Samsung update to Gear Manager one more time--just to get a log to send to Samsung. Cleared Bluetooth pairing, uninstalled everything, reinstalled newest version. Failed several times, then finally paired, then finally ran through the bootup process and I am now connected and reinstalling programs, pictures, etc. on the Gear 2 Neo. We'll see how long this lasts. I'll keep you posted. For now, I'm illogically hopeful.

Bad news. Back to square 1. The newest (December 1) update to Gear Manager is no good for Gear 2 Neo with Galaxy Note 3. It will pair and you can get a brief bluetooth connection from the watch to the phone, and sometimes even from the phone to the watch. But it disappears after about 60 seconds. I'm sure it's the Gear Manager update. You can get certain apps to work during the brief periods of connection, but you can't do any settings from the phone, or use the Gear App store through the Gear Manager.
Does anyone know a way to uninstall or bypass the current new version of Gear Manager and install an older version alongside it? If I uninstall it I have learned from bad experience that it will hard reset the watch and I will lose all the time I have spent (3-4x in the last 3-4 days) setting it up. And worst of all, it will delete all Gear Apps that I have paid for from the phone, and I will have to reinstall them whenever I get a connection, and set them all up again.
Workaround
As I was suggesting last night, the best workaround I can come up with is still to install the older version (linked above) by APK, and then leave the warning message running. This way you can get a steady bluetooth connection for as long as you need it, and you can operate all Samsung apps and some 3rd party apps too. You can't, however, use the Gear Manager. You can only make changes/adjustments that can be done from the watch. But it's better than nothing until Samsung gets its act together.

Thanks for this tip. I think you mean that you went ahead and ran the update on the new version (December 1?). Or do you mean you ran an update on the older version I mention above? I'd like to try it to see if they've gotten rid of the bug. Are you saying everything seems to be working fine and your phone updated acceptably?

Gear 2 connection problems with Galaxy Note 4

Hello, I had just bought my gear 2 today and after charging it fully I tried to follow the instructions and download the gear manager app on my galaxy note 4. It installed the latest version. I opened it and it immediately crashed. The only way I can open the app is to press the active apps button at the bottom of the phone and go to the app that way. Doing that it pairs and finds the watch just fine. I press on the gear to start "connecting" after it paired. It endlessly connects, with no error messages. I've updated the gear via kies. I've installed a previous version of gear manager. I've factory reset the gear. All to no avail. I've gotten around the startup wizard on the gear so I can use it but the time is wrong, and I can't use any of the actually useful functions that you need to pair with a phone to use. I called Samsung and talked to some Asian chick who told me to restart the phone and the watch. Obviously that didn't work and I had already tried it so I yelled at her and she created a report. Don't know what that will do for me then she referred me to a freakin best buy and said I quote "go to local best buy and have them look at it"
Seriously hoping if any of you can help me. I don't know what to do after this and I really wanna be able to see even a correct time on my watch. Thanks in advance for anything you can do to help.

Multiple Gear Watches Connected to Same Phone?

Hello all!
I currently own a gear 2 Neo for working out and daily use. I would like to get the Gear S2 classic for work because it looks so nice, then switch over to the gear 2 Neo to workout. Can my Note 4 keep both watches connected at the same time? The gear 2 Neo had to be formatted back to factory when it initially syncs to a new phone device. If I cant multi sync the watches, it wouldn't be worth it because the device would have to be formatted over and over when I switch watches... That would take up alot of time waiting. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a gear s and gear s2 to use with my note 4... Both watches are setup with my phone but only one can connect at a time. I don't have to reset the watches because they are not being switched to a new device. My gear manager app on the phone had a drop down menu to pick the watch you want to connect with. So based on my experience I would say you should have no problem to switch between two watches here; you'll just need to connect one or the other but not both at the same time. If you choose to connect either one to a different phone entirely though, then yes you'll likely need to reset the watch.
Thanks for your help!

So same issue with the Gear s2 I got 2 watches when I try and switch watches it will not switch to the second watch without soft reset everytime. I have tried turning bluetooth off on the device prior to switching and reconnecting second watch then I get must soft reset before continuing. I tried disconnecting 1st watch then switching same result. There is no drop down menu in gear manager to switch. Now when I had the gear fit I could switch between watches whenever I wanted without soft reset. I am not connecting them both at the same time. So why is it asking for a soft reset. It is almost like it can only bind one watch to that phone. So when I switch it is asking to bind the new watch and deletes the first.
On my S4 I have Gear 1, Gear 2, Gear S and Gear S2. All can be used on the same phone without reset but only one at time. Some issue if you want install same app from the store on differents watch. Many time for example if I have an app installed on my Gear 1 and I can not install also on the Gear 2 because it said yet installed
I have 2 Samsung gear s watches so when one dies I can use the second one. But every time I connect to the next watch it requires a factory data reset. The only way either watch doesn't need reset is if it was the last one connected. How can I fix this? Neither watch has Sim card. I have tried it with my Samsung Galaxy s5 active and now Samsung Galaxy s7. Both happens same way. Need help macks152010 at Gmail.

I have two gear S3 watches, I can pair both to my S8 plus. The problem is setting up Samsung pay to use and work with two different Gear watches on the same phone, and use the same debit card. 1) both watches are to use the same debit cards. 2) One watch ("A") is active and linked to the phone. 3) setup the debit card on the phone for watch "A" using Samsung pay--all is fine to this point. On the watch SP works fine.
Now the problem: Turn off watch "A" and turn on watch "B", link "B" to the phone, proceed to setup SP. The first thing that happens is the previous working debit card is deleted and I,m prompted to re-setup the same debit card that was deleted. Now it's working for phone"B" just fine. Samsung Pay (SP) no longer works on phone "A" and will need to be setup again. Samsung Pay can't work with two gear S3 watches on the same phone. SP can only have one setup per phone, and each time you turn on a 2nd gear S3 watch, the exsisting SP setup is deleted. Why would anyone have a 2nd Gear S3 watch which will not be able to function correctly.
How does one setup two Gear S3 watches to work with Samsung Pay on the same phone? This is a MAJOR PROBLEM and needs to be addressed.

I have a Galaxy S7 phone (SM G930U, with android 7.0) and Two gear S3 Frontier Watches (SM-760, Tizen Version3.0.0.2, software version R670XXU2CRE3).
I can pair both watches using the Samasung Gear App (2.2.20.17113061) on the phone, however when I want to switch watches, autoswitch does not work. I can choose the watch from the drop down list but that will not work unless I choose to reset the watch (a full reset takes over 5 minutes and my settings are all gone every time).
Restarting the watch is not enough, it must be factory reset every time that I wish to switch watches.

I have tried every solution in this entire thread including clearing my phone system cache file. But the Gear app still forces a reset of the watch when switching from watch A to watch B. I even tried pairing both watches to my old Samsung phone (Samsung galaxy s3) with the exact same results.
Does anyone have any suggestion?
Trying to connect two Samsung Gear S3 classic to a Samsung Galaxy Note 8
Did you ever get this sorted?. Having the same problem with my two Samsung Galaxy Gear S3 classic on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 ☹
From my research, it is possible to use multiple Samsung watches with the same phone, providing the watches are different models. Using multiples of the same model watch results in having to reset the next watch before it can be used.
got 2 gear2 watches on one phone working ... somewhat

I was able to get having two identical model Gear 2 watches on one phone to work several years ago, but with my latest a20, I also have the issue where the Wearables app wants to completely factory reset the watch every time i switch watches.
What I was able to do was to go directly to the bluetooth menu and let the watch connect. The Wearables app launches automatically and tries to make me select the model to pair with. I just hit the home button and then kill the Wearable app. The watch stays connected and gets/displays alerts. Also the photos/videos from the watch transfer to the gallery just fine. What it DOESNT do (that I really NEED it to do) is pass my step count data to the Health app. I'm sure if I can figure out the old version I used on my old Galaxy Mega in 2015 I can back date the Gear apps and probably get my full dual watch functionality back, but i'd rather samsung just accomodate our feature request in this thread.
Here's to wishing.

"Device Health keeps stopping" message popping up?

Hi, I'm currently on the AT&T carrier on Oreo 8.0.0 ( G955USQU2CRC5, latest update ) and a random message pops up randomly saying that "Device Health has stopped" or "Device Health keeps stopping".
The only option is "Close app" and when I hit it, all it does is close the message for it to pop up again randomly.

Anyone else having this problem and/or have a solution?
Could this be part of the 8.0.0 update?
Every time I Google this message, the only thing I find is posts about S Health which I don't think this is.
I'd look through your apps under settings see if you find it select show system apps as well. Delete data if you find it. It's something I would've done.

That's the thing, nothing under apps, even with system apps enabled, shows under "Device Health." The closest thing I have to this is the one for Samsung health and I've already tried to clear cache, delete data, force stop, etc. It doesn't do anything.
I've tried resetting the phone, reflashing the phone, resetting app permissions, and making sure I don't download too many apps, but it always ends with the same result.
I'm starting to think this is an AT&T specific problem or something, so I might try reflashing some other version later.

Try this. Go to device maintenance under settings, then on the top right click what looks like a piece of paper you'll see apps that keeps crashing. Maybe you'll find it there click on it and it should take you to the app information. That is if AT&T phones have it

Samsung+ forum maybe they could help
I have the same issue, have had it about a month now since I got Oreo.
This past weekend I did a factory reset. The issue was gone for about 2 days, now today it's back. I looked in the updates app lists and nothing updated that looks like it would be causing this.
All I really know is this is annoying as hell. Some days I know I click that error off well over 100 times, probably over 200. Most times it pops up you hit it 6-8 times to clear it.
edit - S8 here - Also RC5 version

I have fixed my phone, but it's a bit extensive and maybe not worth it depending on what you do on your phone.
I tried to follow this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/how-to/snap-guide-flashing-standard-fw-carrier-t3627255
and used the unlocked firmware and so far, on Oreo, I haven't gotten that message.
I also don't have any bloatware from AT&T so that's also a plus.
Just a thought, though.

So, simply unlocking it and not having ATT apps did the trick?
What about Samsungs apps?
I've rooted in the past but haven't done so recently, I'll definitely look into this.
Thanks.

Samsung apps are installed and they work, just no carrier specific bloatware.
Also I believe that the phone is not actually unlocked, rather it only uses the unlocked firmware.
Just follow the "Carrier Switching" section with the XAA CSC code and then the "Flashing Unlocked Firmware" if you want to do what I did.
Did anyone find a solution for this? My ATT LG Phoenix II is doing the exact same thing and has been for the last couple weeks except it does it every 10 to 15 seconds so the phone is basically useless. I can find no Device Health application on the phone or even one that looks like it might be causing this.
Resolution to "Device Health Keeps Stopping"?
Did you find a resolution to this problem? If so, what action was taken?
Thank you

No. I didn't use it for a couple (few?) weeks and the next time I used the phone it still did it, but a LOT less often. The way it is now is just mildly annoying, not making the phone useless like it was. I assume there was an update that made it better but I really don't know what for sure.
Solution found?!
Good afternoon,
*
I believe I discovered a resolution to this issue. I work for a City Government as an IT Specialist in our Mobile Device Support Unit. I handle over 3000+ device for all City employees. We've come across this exact problem about 3 times since Oreo rollout. Our standard device for all employees is the Samsung Galaxy S7. We've attempted a bunch of different things, from wiping the device completely to flashing an older version (Android 6.0) on the device to no avail. Previously we found that once EVERY APP on the device was updated along with the Software, the issue was resolved. However, as of today, I was working on another one of these troubled devices. I updated E_V_E_R_Y_T_H_I_N_G and the pop-up still showed. So, I told the user I would just replace the entire device and Smart Switch his content to the new phone. While I was in the transfer process (already switched the SIM) I noticed the troubled device didn't receive a single pop-up. This got me thinking, so I waited and tested the device some more without the SIM and didn't receive a single pop-up. This led me to believe the issue is likely correlated to Service. I had read on other websites that generally this issue is related to AT&T Samsung devices. Some solutions were to flash a vanilla OS (without bloatware) to cease the annoyance.
*
After reinserting the SIM into the problem phone, I almost immediately received the pop-up.
*
SO! I went diving.
*
I came across a strange setting I hadn't considered / seen / wasted my time to read. It was to turn on and off AT&T Mobile Network Diagnostics. GREAT! If I have this "Device Health" issue and it seems to be tied to a data connection, this setting makes sense! If there is some error with the sending of diagnostics to AT&T then it would only make sense to receive this type of error. What even IS "Device Health?" So once I turned that off and reset the APN I haven't received the pop-up since.
*
I am sure by this point my post is
*
TL;DR
*
Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > and turn OFF "AT&T Mobile network diagnostics"
*
Go to Access Point Names > (3 vertical dots top right corner) > Reset to default
*
Since doing that i haven't seen the pop-up.*
*
Cheers
*

Did everything except, there's no "AT&T Mobile network diagnostics" to shut off.
Still have the same problem.

Question Can't pair galaxy watch 5 with redmi phone

Hi Everyone,
I have a Redmi K30 ultra using CN MIUI13 with google service enabled, but i can't pair my phone with galaxy 5.
I tried pair them using Samsung wearable giving all permision to the app, but i got below message:

Also i tried pair with samsung health(giving all permission) from accessories(Settings -> Accessories -> Smartwatch -> Register). After registered samsung account, the app crashed and give me this error:
The last one i tried was using Wear OS of china version. but it just stopped in the pair process.
Pluging installed:
Someone know why i can't pair them?
Thanks
There's something went wrong with compatibility, I guess. Try Restarting both devices and try again.
For testing you can try with another devices.
I had the same problem using a Realme GT (CN version) and a Watch 4. It could be because of Google Services that the chinese phones haven't. In my case, I got solved doing the follow.
1- You must have installed the Galaxy Wearable app and the Watch 5 plug in. I saw that you already have.
2 - I thinks that the problem is that the watch can't pair when you use the Waer app, but when you try to pair using the Wear OS app (CN version), you watch should be able to pair with your phone, so in this moment you have to try to start with the start the pair process with the Galaxy Wearable (you don't close the Waer OS, leave it in background).
This worked for me. I hope you can do it.
Sorry my english.

Hi ljleonardo1,
I tried with your way and i got the same error using samsung health app to pair then
it's said Couldn't set up your watch
When I tried the first time, I putted the code to pair it and got the message "The watch ins't support in this phone", but when started the same process with the Wear OS (CN version) I could pair the watch (the process stopped in the same place that you, but I checked in the bluetooth menu of Android, scrolling down, and I saw that it was pair). In this moment I tried with the Galaxy Wearable again and I could pair it.

it still doesn't work for me, after log in samsung account, the galaxy watch 5 plugin is just crashed and give me an error.
I had the same issues pairing the watch with my Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. Tried everything for days with no success. A hard reset of my phone was the solution.

I also tried a hard reset but it's doesn't work for me. but i tried with my friend's phone which has same model as mine. he has MIUI stable version(i have beta version).
When pairing his phone with samsung wearable, the plugin wasn't start up and i couldn't do the following step. I will tried again when i swapped to stable version in my phone.
Maybe that's the solution then. Good luck!
** Please note, this guide was initially written for the GW4, but I suspect it is also likely to work for the GW5 **
Try this, in this EXACT order:
You have to install the following apps from Playstore less No.4:
1. Samsung Gear (Samsung wearable)
2. Samsung Watch 5 plugin
3. Samsung Health (SHealth)
4. Chinese version Wear OS (From appmarket)
Once the above are installed. Reset or reinitialize your watch, wait for the "Welcome" intro to start. Open up SHealth app -> click on 3 dot on the top right -> settings -> accessories -> Select Galaxy Watch 5 or Watch 5 Pro to pair up. Follow the setup accordingly. It's optional to sign in to SHealth for your watch btw. Everything will work flawlessly after that.
After you're done with the setup, close all apps via recent and you can launch Samsung Gear as per normal. If you're experiencing intermittent disconnectivity, launch Samsung Gear and lock the app in recents. Do not kill the app. I have not experienced any battery drain from it so far.
DO NOT uninstall the chinese version of the Wear OS under any circumstances. It will disconnect your watch and you won't be able to pair it back. Which means you have to unpair via SHealth, reset your watch and go through the entire setup again.

Guys I found the way. I have a Remdi Note 9. I booted into safe mode, I went and just paired the phone with the watch from the Bluetooth settings. It finished successfully. Then I rebooted into the regular mode, and went on the Wear app. I tried syncing them and it just succeeded!!!!!

Hi Alexandros,
How did you pair them? i tried pair them in safe mode, i paired succefuly in bluetooth setting, but in the watch screen show the message "check your phone to complete setup" . After returned into the regular mode , the watch just show the message that connection is failed and force me to reset.
I am having the same problem with Realme 8 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro
I tried the solutions above and they did not work, samsung support just says that I must use a samsung cell phone

After pairing them I restarted both. Sorry for not being clear.
I have swapped to stable version and tried again all above solutions and they didn't work.
i use to use a galaxy watch 4 with a oppo find N (China Rom) and had the same issues and used the workaround posted earlier but i found this didnt work with the watch 5. What i had todo was as per below. Hope it might help:
China Wear OS installed (location permission given but dont open)
Samsung Health from Playstore
Galaxy Wear (from Oppo appmarket)
Didnt install galaxy watch plugin.
I went through samsung health to initiate the pairing with the GW5. This opens the wearable app which then updates automatically to latest version (same as playstore), and then downloads the necessary watch plugin and everything paired fine.
Before this i had tried everything but i think the key is to NOT have the watch 5 plugin installed when you start pairing via samsung health.
So far all seems fine with my china rom phone.
Good luck!

also make sure all background data for the 4 apps is allowed, and no battery optimisations for wear and watch plugin.
Appreciate the walkthrough.... I have a Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 but cant connect it with my Watch 5 Pro. The steps, chinese wear os, not installing the watch 5 plugin, and trying to orsi thru samsung health got me closer than ever, but alas, still csnt successfully pair the watch yet. Any tips?
Same story here, I have Xiaomi 12s Ultra and yesterday got Watch 5 Pro, tried all seps mentioned above but simply no success in connecting it with Galaxy Werable app. For me bluetooth pairing is not an issue, get it paired easily via Werable app process or via Health app, but simply further steps during setup process don't pass and can finish setup/connecting phone to the app...
I still have Galaxy Watch Active 2 which works fine, even with that watch there were few issues with connecting it with Xiaomi but it was more or less easy solved, but with this new Watch 5 Pro, for now I don't see solution
