After MM update, Im having issues with wifi speed. Does anyone know how to solve? I've done wipes and nothing has changed
Solved! Wiped everything again and it works!
A wipe was a little bit over-the-top, but I'm glad it works! [emoji1]

I'm on CleanRom 4.5. Every rom even stock seems to cause the hotspot to completely drop data all the time. At first I thought it had to do with the security but I have tried everything with no luck. Does anyone have a solution?

Uninstalling all tethering apps from the store and then wiping the dalchek(sp?) cache in recovery fixed the built in tethering app making it work
Yesterday I flashed LS 3.2 Nightly over 3.1. This morning the headset volume was stuck at, I guess, about 90%. I lowered all volumes to 0, but still the volume of the headset stayed at 90%.
I wiped Dalvik and cache with no result.
Anybody experienced the same issue?
Any ideas how to resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Why not ask in the rom thread where the users of the rom will definitely see your post? ?
It's Bern asked before. I also had this Problem. You need To enable Viper4Android in settings. After that all works normally

I reinstalled my Z5's (E6653) firmware 32.0.A.6.200 lollipop 5.1.1 and eversince I've been having video playback issues and I've updated to 32.1.A.1.163 marshmallow 6.0.1 and I've still been having these issues (although the video player has started working) I can't play videos on Facebook, YouTube, twitter, etc. I can't seem to find anyway to fix it,
It's rooted, bootloader is unlocked and I am using the androplus v22 permissive kernel Any help would be appreciated,
thanks in advance
Have you made a factory reset after the update?
If not, you might give it a try to see it helps.
I will try now and tell you what happens.
So I reset, rerooted, etc.. I just have to see If it happens again now
It's still happening, took a while but still happening :c

Strange issue. Could be a hardware GPU problem, so bring the phone back to where you bought it, show the problem and give it to them. Or simply contact Sony support service support.sonymobile.com and explain them the problem
Kernel related try stock kernel and see if this help.
Sorry I haven't replied for so long, but it seems my problem was using supersu beta 2.68. I switched to supersu stable 2.65 and no problems in the last few weeks or so.

I have been on an early version of CM 11 forever and never had any problems until a few days ago my screen rotation stopped. I tried toggling auto rotate on and off with no luck. I rebooted the phone many times with no luck. I even updated to 11.0-XNPH05Q with no luck. Any body have any suggestions on what to try here? Thanks
Anything?
What if I clear the device cache?
Your best bet is to update to COS 1.3.1.1 with lastest firmware.

Would that erase any of my data and settings? I am quite content with my OS as it is now but I will update if I know it will fix it.

Can you also just update through about phone > system updates?

I wont lose anything by upgrading that much right? That's like 2 whole versions of Cyanogen ahead of where I am at now.
You should not, just by updating, if you are completely stock.

Last question. What would be the reason the update would fix the issue?

Not sure why screen rotation issues started, but I guarantee it is a firmware issue. I remember CM11S had screen rotation issues but then. But updating to COS 13.1.1 will also update you to lastest firmware and should fix your issues.

The update did fix my issues. I just am new having a few other issues with the new OS like my LTE isn't working and my BG Tube app is glitchy in background playback. But thank you for helping me solve the screen rotation issue.

Yeah. Signal was better on KK and LP. Old firmware did better with signal. I still get LTE, but it was better on older firmwares. As far as YouTube app, not sure. But glad you screen rotation is working ?

I saw that but I'm looking for an answer to my question

It appears to be a 'minor' patch that includes security fixes and no real software changes.
There should be no reason to do a factory reset.
Thanks!!

I'm not so sure about that.
I've been having sensor issues immediately after this latest update. Both my orientation and light sensor stop working occasionally (every other day) and I have to reboot to fix.
I had ZERO issues with this before the update a few weeks ago.

I'm experiencing the same issues. Have you tried a factory reset to see if it has fixed the sensor issues?

I haven't, but I'm about to. As a software engineer I'm fundamentally against a factory reset to fix an issue. It's like wiping your Windows hard drive to fix a driver.

Since there is no root for this device, what is the best way to backup? Smartswitch app?
