hi guys,
i hope this is the right place to ask, otherwise tell me. I had to replace the glass on a moto g, but when i took off the glass from the display half of the polarizing film went off because the glass itself was too shattered. I've a spare LG G2 film i can use, but apparently it works only in horizontal. Does it depends on the protective films of the polarizing film itself or i need a new polarizing filter? In this case, could you suggest me a compatible one? because on the european online stores they not sell it for the moto g. Thanks in advance.

Hi community
I've seen some posts regarding scratch removal on other devices but decided to post it in the dedicated Moto G forum because I don't think all the devices have the same quality on the screen even if they also have gorilla glass 3.
I have 2 scratches, quite deep, but the rest of the screen is immaculate so I don't know if I would cause more harm or if I can soften the 2 scratches without more damage.
I don't know how it got the scratches but I think it might have been some sand particle or ash.
I tried toothpaste but didn't work, any suggestion ?
How do you think this is possible? Scratches cant be removed..

The scratches won't be removed, instead you polish the whole surface making the scratch dissapear (I know scratches can't be filled tho).
This guy got pretty decent results:

I always imagined a solution like that but never tried before.. Hats off
clear nail polish?
Try a polish .
Anyway i used to have a Razr Maxx, with gorilla glass 1st generation, 6 months and there was no stratch on it.
So Moto G, with this 3rd gen of Gorilla glass i don't think that i need any screen protector.
But after reading this post, hahaha. Ya maybe i have to think about buying a screen protector. Maybe just maybe

I thought I didn't need one either, unluckily there's some grittle or little sand particles that CAN get near your screen and that actually ARE harder in the scale so they will scratch the glass and you will hardly see them (that's why I don't believe in "dust resistant" phones, because sand contains crystals that are among the hardest materials out there).
However, I still think that a plastic screen protector on a gorilla glass screen is a terrible idea, it reduces transparency, is a soft material so it will get very scratched, it is more difficult to clean and adheres to dust and even can melt with some solvent like materials. Is like reducing the quality of your screen on purpose. I think I'll have to be more careful from now on, thats all, my scratches are yet very subtle (I only see them on white backgrounds) so I don't think I'll take a leap of faith just yet.
Anyways I wanted to get the 4G LTE version with gyroscope or finally a nexus, this might be the perfect excuse.
I bought a protector off Ebay that claimed to have an oleophobic coating and it very clearly does not!
It fits well and I'm glad to have something on it but I won't be able to stand the smudges for long. Any other recommendations out there before I start playing screen protector roulette?

Great question! I was doing some research as well and couldn't find the answer so I bit the bullet and tried another screen protector from Amazon and it's a HUGE improvement. I recommend it to anyone looking for screen protector.
Let's see if linking to it gets me in trouble...

If link doesn't work search for "LG G Flex 2 Tempered Glass Screen Protector by Rerii"
(yes I am talking to myself) ; )
Few days ago i purchased another tempered glass protector in a retail shop but i sent back because it was straight at the bottom side. This one is curved at the bottom like our device?
Rgds,

Yes it fits perfectly. Not sure on your options for getting to Barcelona but I am still extremely happy with it. The coating on it has held up very well and honestly I've yet to have a screen protector work this well for any of the (too)many phones I've owned.
Thanks for your answer, i will try to get it.

I've bought a few of these over the years, for different phones, they are pretty awesome. they don't fit exactly towards the edge, so cases still fit ok.

i have the same one. very nice cut. really worth the money. the problem is stain/finger print resistance. in general glass is not as good as plastic in handling finger prints. i used other brands (Zxxx and T..A..) before on other model. i feel that Z brand is much better in that.
anyone bought branded glass screen protector for flex 2 and had good experience with it? im looking for high quality glass for my friend

What do you mean by branded? 99% of screen protectors are made by one or two factories and sold by thousands of resellers. (exaggerated but not by much)

i mean branded like nillkin glass screen protector, they fracture very high quality screen protector for many devices, i couldnt find their glass for flex 2, so im looking something like this for flex 2
http://www.nillkin-case.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2934
That's the one I bought for my Flex 2, fits perfectly to screen and (in my opinion) good quality.

does it fir perfectly? no bubbles?
Yes, it does.
No bubbles at all.
Never bought a "branded" glass protector, but my $1.70 one from ebay worked pretty good so far on my flex2, only downside was stupid long shipping time from china.
Nice
Nice
Just wanted to add that I bought a cheap tempered screen protector off of ebay and the quality was shocking. It would not stick down on the edges and was a real finger print magnet.
I then ordered the nilkin that was recommended by francescrm. It turned up today and I fitted it. There is a night and day difference between this and the crap I bought off of ebay. For one it actually fits and sticks like it should but also it doesn't attract finger marks like the rubbish one does. It has a proper coating on to prevent them.
I'm wondering taking in count the fact of a curved display. How much durable is a tempered glass protector? I mean, I've read before that they got broken easily.
My Daughter dropped her Moto G a second time, this time on a concrete floor., shattering the glass, I have taken off the rest of the glass. and purchase a new glass front. Can I use any phone adhesive or do I need to purchase the black doubled side black adhesive moto g sticker to glue the screen and glass back. The screen powers on , but is white. I thought maybe the black stickers darken the screen and made it visiable or if was just I needed phone adhesive
Please help

White screen likely means that the LCD is also broken, unfortunately. Is it pure white, or are there dark lines or blotches?
I know this is probably too late but I bought glass and screen together as one. It made it easier to replace. You just have to be careful with the earpiece.
I use a moto g3 my screen is scratched suggest me a way to cheaply replace the screen (can I replace the glass only)
Did anyone replace the stock protector film on the display already? I want to attach a new one on my X2, but i do not know, if i have to remove the original one first
Yuo have to remove the original one first, I've a tempered glass on mine.
Buy a glass protector, it is much stronger. Ships in about 4 weeks. Keep the film until you receive glass protector and then change it
Hi everyone,
just wanted to ask if someone can recommend a good display protection foil? I was looking on Amazon, but the foils did not really fit or were rated badly. So if anyone knows about a good screen protection please share it
this one fits perfectly.

thank you. I will check it out.
SPARIN also makes a really good Screen Protection kit. 2 tempered glass protectors, some application stickers, and cleaning cloth are included.
Spigen makes great ones.
