What was snobby or condescending about my reply? All I did was ask a question.
This site IS for research.......That people share and others SEARCH for.

justify it however you want.

Well this thread is off to a good start.

I've tried one click, kinga and king root with no success.. Nothing on the pc yet(going to attempt srsroot) but no luck unfortunately.

We need more people like you haha. I'm not willing to risk my device on previous root methods, but in the absense of any devs working on new root exploits for g920v MM, previous root methods are our only chance right now.

Your previous comment and this comment add no value to this thread for assistance. Honestly, if you don't have any input that helps us toward the goal asked by the OP, why answer at all? Requesting he simply search doesn't answer his question. How do you know he already didn't search and could not find a satisfactory answer? A simple "no" would of sufficed. After all, that's what a discussion forum is about. What I have also seen from results of a search for an answer are other people asking the same question in which replies were telling them to search. See a pattern?
The answer to the original question is No, there is no root YET for 6.0 at this time for the VZW S6.

How did YOU find out there was no root yet? You did a search, correct?
This forum is clogged with people asking the same questions over and over, when all it would take is simple search. Instead they want others to do the work for them.

Based on what you're saying, if I would have responded with "Have you seen anything posted........ Anywhere? No it's not rootable yet". That would have been OK?

Well, I'm glad to see that you two have mastered the art of bickering via the internet - welcome to an exclusive club with only 500 million members.

If you refuse to read the relevant thread - do NOT expect anyone to spoon feed the answer to you !
I agree with Soodgautam, this is a dev forum, and you cannot expect someone to spoon feed you the answers! Lots of devs have put in lots of effort into Rooting. Just go and search, read the threads and try out some possibilities, that's the spirit of this forum - to contribute!
Look up Super One Click. Try the latest version. Stop whining. Start contributing.

Mr. rude talker, I would like to tell you that, you are just spamming for posts. If you use the search button, this thread would not have been created.
Your first mistake is posting a question in the development place.
Second mistake is to spam and be rude
Third mistake is that you are asking on a thing which is already posted. You cash read your instructions from there and ask your doubts in that thread.
We ask can all this silly question, but, we do no want to encourage nonsense threads to be created.

For the brief explanation,
You go to settings- applications-development-and check on usb debugging mode.
Now, connect your phone. Don't click on the mass storage or anything. Just connect it.
Now open super one click root and click on root..that is it..for the download links, refer the link given above..

AAHK Gone?

The AAHK thread currently has "Nothing to see here - move along" and all info pulled from the first post, updated yesterday at 1:30Pish with nothing in the thread. Any details to share with us lowbies? Does it have to do with attn1's sig stating "Parted ways with XDA Developers"?

I read through 57-end of the thread and didn't see anything from attn1 explaining why he pulled it. I did see one guy who claimed to get non-helpful responses to his queries in IRC then someone else helped him via PM after talking in the thread. Was that it? dev got critical feedback that wasn't even related to him and pulled something that has helped 1000s (guesstimating) of people?

If you browse the threads and forums long enough, you will find that these things do happen. It's sad that the users are the ones who ultimately pay the price. But that's how things go.
What is NOT needed, is a gossip central forum. Let it lay. This does nothing but clog the threads with useless garbage.

[Q] How do I root a U.S. Cellular Samsung Galaxy S SCH-R530?

I recently got a Samsung Galaxy S III SCH-R530 32GB from U.S. Cellular and haven't rooted it or anything. I was wondering if anyone had any instructions or tips they could give me?
Before this I had a Motorola Electrify that I successfully rooted, but since this is a newer phone I'm guessing the steps have changed since then.
I have heard stuff about some triangle sometimes appearing after rooting, and something else about a counter.
I would like to root my Galaxy S so that those things don't happen if possible.
Any help would be great, thank you! :fingers-crossed:
Anyone going to help? Thank you.

I understand where you are coming from with seeing it many times, but why do you have to be so harsh? Some of us do attempt before we ask. But seeing a response like yours makes it more frustrating then helpful. You're a junior member, if you can't be nice or respond with something nice then don't at all.
I'm sure at one point in time you were in the "noob" shoes. And I'm sure you were frustrated as well. Did you feel good when someone was ruthless and harsh like that to you?

Really annoying when posts like this seem to always be the number one Google search for model# root. If they're such a problem, admins should be deleting them so they aren't everyone else's number one search hit. Yes, I know this will only make the thread come back up, but it's already #1 Google. If the question isn't worth anyone answering, no need to be in the questions and answers section.
For anyone who got here searching Google. This thread is not a guide. A link or two down on "SCH-R530 root" there's an android sc link with a guide and download. (That was just the next closest, so there's something here.)

While it may be annoying, imagine how annoying it becomes when tens of users continually ask "how do you root such and such models" without ever bothering to spend 5 or 10 minutes googling it or searching the forum they post in. Unless a phone model literally just came out, there's going to be information in more than one place on how to root that device. It becomes frustrating to many people when individual after individual consciously refuses to take 5 - 10 minutes and research what they want. I love helping people, and I regularly post in other forums, but when numerous individuals ask how to root their devices when the information is extremely easy to find by simply going to Google and typing "root [model number]" or "how to root [model number]", it shows the person doesn't really care about helping themselves (if they don't care, how can anyone else). If a person can't find the information after 10 minutes of researching on their own, then I have no complaint... but considering the vast majority of questions on how to root a device can be answered with a simple Google search, if a person refuses to make this simple effort, then I don't feel they should be told how to root it since they're expecting to be treated like a child and have someone else act as a parent.
Forums are there as a tool to help people, but that doesn't absolve an individual from the responsibility to help themselves.

CF-Auto-root
Sorry i am a noob and may have missed this in another forum but does cf auto root work for the us celluar s3 running 4.3?
I myself have landed on this page through Google & the sites search function several times, in fact in three pages this is the most relevant. So for my own benefit and others here are three methods for the galaxy s3 sch-r530 that I've found for either the 530 specifically & earlier android builds, r530 with 4.3 or all s3's. The link for the Sprint root method posted earlier links back to this forum within the one posted.

@zelendel is a Moderator on the forum and is far more tolerant than I am. I said that if you were serious you should search. The first rul of XDA (read them if you haven;t done so before) is to "Search before asking anything". This question has been asked many times, sometime by noobs, sometimes by trolls, so the answer and the reasons why not are on XDA and Google in many, many places already - starting a new thread to ask the same thing is contrary to the rules of XDA and, to be honest, is just ignorant and lazy as well.
While Simon is correct about searching. I will break it down the best I can. The device is just not compatable with android. All the bootloaders are locked down tighter then fort knox. The kindle that you mentioned is based off of linux like android is. The iphone will never be allowed to run anything other then apples software.

You are more then welcome to ask question, but please understand that this is a developers site. Alot of the questions most new users have already have been asked a few hundred times. So searching first will most likely save you time and frustration. So of the people here are a bit short but that is due to people thinking we are a support site. This is the furtherest from the truth. So my advice would be to search and read. Things will come to you in time. You will also notice how the same questions are asked over and over again. After some time this will start to annoy you as well when you are looking for info and you have to read over hundreds of posts of the same question.
I will close this for you as you can not close or delete any threads. Even ones you make.

What am I missing?

So, lately I've been trying to find a use for this Verizon tablet. I currently just use it as a reader but I'd really like to just mess around with it a bit and learn how to Linux on tablet.
I can't seem to find any information on this particular device. I've tried a number of different ways and I always end up hitting a wall in the process. ...anyone got any info on how to root this Galaxy Tab E "sm-t378v".
Hint: Replace this thread's abolute meaningless title by "How to root SM-T378V" thus owners of such a tablet mainly get addressed.
...is that how helpful you need to be to become a senior member? If so I doubt I'll find what I need here.

You wouldn't get anything if you're here just for "What am I missing". If you know how to make a thread, you should know what you should write the title too right? He wasn't wrong.
As per check, there is no availability rooting that model, yet.
Great, thanks for the info. ...and now for my final question? Where is the delete account button on this website? I no longer want to be a member with such elitist people, it's pretty gross.
