Can't remove screen lock from Huawei P8 - Miscellaneous Android Development

Under Settings/Screen Lock & Passwords/Password, the "None" option is grayed out with "Disabled by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage".
I've disabled all Device Administrators and Trusted Agents, cleared credentials, but still can't remove the password.
What am I missing?
Thanks!

I am having the same problem in Huawei Honor 6 plus. Followed the above steps as well but it didn't work out.
One thing I would like to mention is that I have recently received an update (B520) which has added android pay option in nfc and inside Google settings. That is the main culprit I think.

what you r missing is lack of sense about where what to post.
Is that something related to development??
Read xda rules before posting here and there.
To unlock any phone u need 2 find gesture.key from ur data partition.
Get the help of adb or a recovery based file manager like aroma and find out gesture.key
Or simply try unlock me tool.

Samsung account after wipe within recovery

Hi!
I got an Note 3 for a test but there was a Samsung account before it activated... I did not know the password for it, so id did wipe it within the recovery. but now when I start the device it still asks the Samsung account information.
Rooting option is not an option because it`s not my device, but just for the test. also I can not find the my locations software version ( SEB) for it, so I could try to flash it using Odin.
Any other options to get rid of the Samsung account verification option on setupwizard?

Sounds like the Reactivation Lock has been switched on. There is a guide on the forum somewhere, however it's not as simple as ABC.
Sounds like a challenge.. Thats good Thanks

In reality it was so simple...
For other guys that have the problem like me:
After the wipe via recovery turn on your phone.
In the first screen when you must choose the language, go in to the Accessibility options.
Go to Text To Speech Options and in the settings find the option to download other and Install Voice data.
Just choose to install any voice data.
At this point it will ask you to log in to the Samsung account. You can create new one or just log in with your existing one.
When the download has completed go back to the start and keep on setting up the device as always.
At this moment it will ask you to log in with the Samsung account anyway, but at this time log in with the same account with witch you logged in when you downloaded the Voice Data. Vuola! You are in.
Then go to Security Settings and uncheck the Reactivation Lock, to disable this option if you don't want that anymore.

Switch off the password toggle switch and confirm the action with old pattern. When you switch on again, it'll ask you to draw the new pattern.
I forget my lock apps pattern, is there any way to solve it? Now I can't manage my app any more
Try to find and delete any file with .key extension in /data/system
You can click change to number lock and then click forgot password to reset a new one.

[Completed] Unsecure lockscreen: This profile option is disabled by a device administrator policy

Hi,
on my Galaxy S5 (klte) I am using Fusion rom (Androi 5.1.1). From the start (after a clean flash and installing gapps) I can not change the lockscreen to "unsecure". In Settings>System profiles>[choose the settings of any profile] I am greeted with the stated error message.
I tried:
-Removing all the administrators from Settings>Security>Device Administrators
-Switched all the credentials in Settings>Security>Trusted Credentials to off.
The phone is not encrypted and I do not have any Exchange Mail Accounts set up (just two google accounts).
Does anyone know what I can do to get rid of this annoying policy?
Thanks, Kiesel

How prevent from system auto upgrading?

Hello everybody,
i just wanted to deactivate the automatic system updates of my Honor View 10 temporary.
So i searched global in this forum and found a solution.
See here please:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75898824&postcount=7
It worked with the command. But how to enable the system automatic updates again?
There is no field anymore in the system menue of my Honor View 10 .
I pm'ed the user who has given the command, but he was some days not online.
I also use that command with "install" instead of "uninstall", but that gave me an error.
I am desperate.
Is there anyone who can help me?
Thanks in advance.

Hello Sir,
the developer options were marked for system update. But it didn't help. I did a restart my phone.
I am missing a field that is called "system update" to do it manually.
Ok, i can't insert an image to show you, because i am a new user here.
I have a red circle near the menu system. But when i go inside, the field is missing.

If you don't see the toggle "Automatic System Updates" (Settings > System > Developer Options > Automatic System Updates), I'm guessing it's due to that ADB command you'd done previously.
AFAIK, you'll need to perform either a factory reset or, dirty (re)flash the stock ROM to bring it back....

If you're fortunate enough to be able to Bootloader unlock your phone, install TWRP & Root your device, a better option is available for those who stay on the stock ROM:
Apps such as SD Maid Pro & Titanium Backup Pro allow for app freezing/disabling, virtually the same as the ADB command method you used, with one huge advantage:
The app freezing/disabling is easily reversible without the need for a factory reset.

Unlock Bootloader ist yet not an option for me, because of warranty.
Luckily i have the code to unlock it, but not for now.
I will do it, when warranty is over.
