XDA Assist is for new members to learn the way around the website, not for senior members who should know their way around. You need to decompile it using apktool, do what you want, and then recompile it. Also, try to find VTS (Virtuous Ten Studio) as that will help too. Good luck!

Font Pack Installation?

Anyone know where .ttf fonts are installed to when installing from an .apk? I need the whole path, if you know it.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

I never did get it figured but on another thread, someone was able to extract the .ttf from the .apk and I'm up and running!
Made an awesome AOSP ROM even more AWESOMER!
Thanks for your time & answer. As you can see from the thread length, not been much interest in an answer!

[Completed] [Q] Renaming a thread with the new forums [Resolved]

Hello, how can I rename a thread within the new forums. I used to only have to double click on the title but it doesn't seem to work anymore.
Thank you
Never mind, figured it out, you now have to edit the post and then click the "Go Advanced" button. You can then edit the title.
Thank you
Please Note XDA Assist Mission as outlined in Bold Text and also by the 2 Sticki Posts.
The mission of XDA Assist is to provide basic help to those who have tried searching but can't find what they are looking for and need assistance. This is not a "helpdesk" providing technical assistance but more to point you in the correct direction with your problem. Perhaps you can't find posts on how to root your phone, install custom recovery or maybe you have questions about how to navigate and use features on the site.

You should know to ask the question in About XDA forum.
If you edit the OP of the said thread, The title will appear and you can change it.

Hi Bunkers
Thank you for using XDA Assist.
XML files are basically plain text files with special internal format, any editor should do.
On Windows, I shall suggest you Notepad++.
On Linux, Sublime will accomplish much.
On Android, you should pick an App from Play Store, there are many and it would be a personal choice.

In general, is not considered polite being demanding. Depending upon whom it reaches, you may raise a conflict. Be careful.

Hi Bunkers
Thank you for using XDA Assist
No. by just editing XMLs no. They only contain the parameters necessary to its app to function properly. They contain data only no the app logic.
To develop apps you will have to learn a programming language.
A good point to start you learning process is at

Keep in mind that to pull this off you will have to edit every single apks in the rom and that you download. Otherwise it won't completely work.
