Hello!
As the title says, could someone please share with me the stock file explorer, I think it was called "My Files".
Lost it while debloating
Thanks in advance, greetings from Mexico!
Why not just go to MyFiles (com.sec.android.app.myfiles) and uncheck it to enable it? Assuming you were using Package Disabler Pro.

Hi!
Actually it's not disabled, I unistalled it (with Link2SD), that's why I'm asking for the apk.[emoji14]

You don't want it . Get es file explorer pro. and install the holo theme pro. there is a free version but it has added bloat over the years. you can also extract the app from the stock firmware file on one of the other treads here.

Thanks, actually I don't really want it, but seems like software needs it, I'm having some error messages as I haven't found a way to set a third party explorer as default one.
Been using Root explorer for a couple years (as I don't like very much ES, thoug it seems to be a must have app for now) but unfortunatelt we don't have full features of it.
Will try to extract it from the firmware as you suggested.

Actually I only use it as an uninstaller, it's the one with the besr results for me.
I've had several problems with partitions since Lollipop, I mean from data loss to an entire SD card unreadable (had to get a new one), so I don't partition my SD anymore, to avoid any kind of similar issues.
But, as far as I know, the best format for SD cards is ext4. (But sure yoy don't want to lose your data formatting again).

Well, users who are already using Android from a longer time, may not find this thread useful because they may already know the thing described in this thread. I'm posting this thread for new Android Users. New Android Users may not know how to install .apk files in their Android device on SD Card. Just follow the 3 simple steps given below and you'll be able to install any .apk file on your Android:
Step 1. Copy the .apk file to your SD Card.
Step 2. Get Astro File Manager from Android Market.
Step 3. Open the file in Astro File Manager.
Step 4. When the installation is finished, you'll find your app just like any other app in your device.

You forgot to say that you need to check install from non-market resources in app settings. That might be important for a new person to know as well.

That's strange, all stock roms I've ran on my evo, and before that my optimus s have started with it un-checked. Thought it was googles way of pushing us toward their products. Huh.

what about sd data?
Some games come with sd data files. How can I install them? When I put them in the path (mostly H:android:data) it says files still need to be downloaded. What do I do wrong?
i would like to backup apps to a .APK file so i can put them on the computer .....TB (titanium backup) doesn't seem to put them in just a .apk so how can i do this?
id like to be able to use "adb install _______.apk" to put apps on a phone all at once without needing to buy TB as i don't have the money....
I just found an app that does that this morning. It's called apkExtractor by Kim Heeseok. I'd post a link, but you need 8 total posts before you can do that.

*sigh* can you put the link in a PM? or just put spaces between the parts so it doesn't register as a link, i can put it back together when i get it.
Here (delete brackets around https and .com):
[h][t][t][p]://play.google[.com]/store/apps/details?id=net.sylark.apkextractor
Edit: Just as a note, inside of the app, a long press of the app you want to export will give you the option to export it as an apk. It will be exported to "/sdcard/AppManager/yourappname.apk".

Titanium Backup
you can download it
Titanium Backup DOES back up apks, they just have them compressed...IIRC, you'll see the appname.apk.gz
You could also use something like ES File Explorer, which has a backup function. Other apps have similar capabilities.

i was also looking for the same.So i won't need to download the apps everytime after flashing or any other reason.

---------------------------------------------------
Atm App2zip does not work for all the devices, it's still experimental and not widely tested, so first of all, especially before backing-up something important, make some test to see whether it works for you (e.g. open App2zip and put in the flashable zip some apps you don't really care, uninstall them and then restore the zip via CWM recovery).
---------------------------------------------------
App2zip allows to backup applications directly to a zip file flashable via CUSTOM recovery, you can build your own update.zip on the fly, no need for PC.
ROOT REQUIRED!
Building your flashable zip is easy:
1) Choose the apps to be included in the zip file
2) Click GO! and wait until the zip is done. That's it!
Even system apps can be included in the zip file but make sure they don't have dependencies and they don't share data with other system apps (otherwise they won't be restored properly).
Restore via stock recovery is not supported yet.
Special thanks to:
michaelg117 (for the idea), Fnorder (signapk script), people in "flashable app backup" thread.
Google Play Link
Feel free to use this thread for any comment or report, if the app does not work for you please tell which device and ROM you're on. Thank you!
Sounds good

I'm planning to let the free version users to edit the zip file name along with new features for the pro version.
In the meanwhile i put in the play store an update (ver 1.02), more devices supported now, if App2zip didn't work for you give it a try.
I like the idea very much, but I have a questions (maybe a silly one).
Would it backup the apps and its data or only the app itself?
Sorry but I don't understand if it back up the data as well as on Titanium.
If it does I would be amazed since restoring them from the recovery should be way faster.

Atm it makes backup of both, data and apk (and odex file too).
It would be nice an option to select between apk and apk & data, i think i'll add it, soon or later.

May i take a look at a zip file you make with App2zip? (PM me) please do not include paid apps!
Also, can you tell me which is the mount point of your internal storage?
In the modern devices with built-in emmc the internal storage card (emmc) is usually mounted as "/mnt/sdcard" while the removable storage as "/mnt/sdcard_ext" (or similar), if the emmc's mount point is different there could be some problem.
But, i'm just assuming, i'm still working on it.

I see, i really don't know why. However it looks like it happens not all the times and this also affects other apps in the play store. Try later or by using the play store search box.
Just updated App2zip to v1.03
- The name of the zip file can be easily changed even in free version.
- App2zip is now suitable for more devices, at least, it should be! any feedback is appreciated, this is the kind of work you can't test on the emulator
Just tested with 2 apps and flashed the zip and it worked, it stores apps back with data. Nice work

Actually pro version just makes available 3 extra settings, and so, BIG THANKS to people who support this project even though they see not big difference between free and pro version.
Atm i'm working to make the app more reliable and suitable for as many devices as possible. Later i will start to add new features, pro version will have definitely more.
Does not work on SE Arc S(LT18i)... Dammit, it would be cool to restore apps via recovery...

You are my hero man , Thanks a lot <3
I've tried following the guides from all the reviews and tip and tricks articles online. I even hard rest my phone thinking I had deleted the app by mistake while clearing the bloat. I've used S-Search, Google Play store, Samsung App Store and I can't find it. This app is featured in the At&t product help video but it seems to not be accessible. I'm looking for help finding it.
Thank you in advance.
They removed it. Same as Verizon
Why would they do that? Is there a good app to clear out the ram and close unneeded running apps? I use to use Active apps widget on my S4 everyday. Is the best option just to restart it everyday now? Thanks for any help. Oh, I meant to also ask if there's a way to get this from Samsung and reinstall it? I couldn't find it on Samsungs website.
I found it in the settings, app management. It shows it using data and/or memory. But I can't get it to turn on or create a shortcut.
This is my first Android phone, came from Windows Phone ecosystem.
