Is anyone else having problems with backstab hd. I can install the game and the welcome film clip starts. Then the screen goes black and goes back to my home screen :-/

hmm, have you tried after that happens holding the home key and then relaunching it that way?

i couldnt get it to work for days
so why can u launch it that way then and not normal?
I purchased Modern Combat 2 and then needed to redownload it.
It was removed from the market so I called Gameloft and they gave me Backstab. I just tried it and it worked for me.
You should also get Spiderman. It is awesome.
The same thing happens to me with BackStab HD.
finally got Backstab, the only problem i have with it is that it makes me watch the startup video each time, like i cant skip it. pressing circle just pauses it and brings me back to homescreen then it continues when i launch the game again.
annoying, putting me off playing it lol.

Instead of skipping I tried watching it and it still closed after the video was done?
To skip it you need to tap on the screen then a little "forward" button comes up. then click that

I have tried everything in this thread and it still closes. I even watched the whole video when it is done it just closes.
I have got into the same issue as you with backstab.
I read somewhere that this problem may be the activation of the game. For the activation mechanism you must have an Internet connection on your mobilephone at the first start of the game.
I first started the game without an internet connection, so i had the same problem as you. The only thing I could do, was to reinstall backstab and to redownload the SD data. Then I started the game with an Internet connection. After the skip or end of the video, I had to wait 10 seconds before the progress bar appears.
This solved that issue for me.

Hmm I see it as well it is in the xperia play app/ game launcher.
I know this is a really old thread, but i didnt want to open a new one just for this.
I bought backstab from gameloft and when i opened it, it came up with a message saying "this game is incompatible with your device. Please request a refund"?
Why am i getting this, is anybody else getting this?

I'm sure we have here some WhatsApp lover. And of course some who have the liveview from Sony Ericsson
I love my liveview because i can leave my phone in my bag like in school and just watch what happen on my mobile with it.
But i use really often WhatsApp and I could be glad to have notifications on this little gadget
First of all, anyone knows if there is a plugin for it?
And second, is anyone interessed in making this?

i try to realise it with tasker.
At the moment i read the notification, write it into an var and push it via OpenWatch Plugin to my watch.
Problem:
I cant read the message text. The only thing i can push to my watch is: "You have new mail from %%%%.". How could i solve this?

I don't have one (waiting for the sony smartwatch i think, if that turns out any better)
But i'm guessing a whatsapp plugin would be very possible, especially since whatsapp stores the messages unencrypted on the sd card last time i checked..

There is a reverse enginering project going on XDA somewhere, it that proves succesful, I think the WhatsApp plugin is not far away

1 install a plug in from the market called Custom Notifier
2 allow the plug in to read your notifications by going into Settings, Accessibility
3 enable the plug in, in the LiveView app
4 select which apps you want to be notified about
5 press the thanks button
6 enjoy

Hello Note 8 users,
As a favor to a friend of mine, I made a MODE switcher app that allows the user to switch between the default PHABLET interface and the alternative TABLET interface. This app also allows the user to switch between an alternative Multiwindow mode as shown on the pictures below.
Requires: a rooted note 8 tablet with busybox installed (works for both odex and deodex).
1. For safety, make a backup.
2. Ensure you have busybox installed. If not, install busybox installer from the Play Store and use it to install busybox.
3. Install an alternative launcher like Apex, Nova, ADW, etc. just in case TW Launcher crashes when switching from one mode to another.
4. Download the app below and install. Launch and enjoy. Make sure you grant it root permission when asked.

5. A THANKS would be nice or you could buy me a COFFEE.
NOTE: For those having issue with Play Store in tablet mode, the solution is to use the multi-dpi Play Store from the following THREAD.

(app, build.prop and play store compatibility question deleted - but I don't think it's relevant any longer. Restored build.prop, reinstalled this app, now have no issues with play store visibility. However, it is useful to remember that play store can be impacted by build.prop issues - if you do see a visibility issue, a restore can be helpful.)
@chipwizz & @ianbbaa - glad to see you roaming around this thread. Did you guys bought a note 8 and leave me behind in the note 1 forum? I'll be with the note 1 for a longer time I suppose as I can't afford any new device at the moment.

Make sure you have "com.sec.feature.multiwindow.phone.xml" in /system/etc/permissions folder. That is the missing permission file.
This is a very cool app - but does it modify the build.prop file?
I ask because around the time I installed it, my build.prop file was changed (of course, I was making many changes at the time ) and this morning I noticed a ton of stuff in the Play store said I was not compatible. When I noticed the delta time on the build.prop I restored from a backup and now have normal play store visibility.

Yes, it changes one build.prop entry (ro.sf.lcd_density=177) to achieve tablet interface. Play Store may be an issue for some but the solution is to use the multi-dpi Play Store which you can download from HERE.
What was surprising to me was that after I reverted back to 'phablet mode' I was seeing GPS not loving me.
But this morning I reinstalled after redoing the build.prop and for now, at least, Play is working fine.

Samsung's done some weird stuff with their hardware buttons -- both Button Savior and the back button on the tablet style interface tend not to work very well or often when you try to "back" with them. I'd hoped to be able to disable those hardware buttons by being in tablet mode, but not yet.
I grabbed the key test app a bit back and the hardware and the soft keys do send the same codes, so Samsung must have written something in that grabs inputs on those lines and prioritizes it.
It 's reboot when calling or receiving call.
How to solve this?

Don't worry brother. I still remember the days I was saving for note1, will not be moving so early.
Real action started after you and ianbbaa displayed some magic of tablet and multi window. It is interesting stuff you created in terms of switching mode. So happened to checkout in the interest of note1 replication.

Can you use call function without problem?
So I downloaded this morning and doesn't seem to be working. I know I am probably missing doing something simple but here is some background. Rooted with busy box, framaroot I , model 5110, I also have multi window manager already on here could that be the problem. when I go into the app and hit multi window mode it states need to reboot so I do than after it reboots nothing it is back to the normal mode. I am trying to get the cascading window mode. Any help would be appreciated.
Call off the hounds. after a few additional reboots. it seems to have decided to work. I will report back if i have any other unnecessary requests to make.. Thanks

I want to use my Gear S3 for paragliding. Does anyone know of anyway to have the Altimeter stay on screen without timing out? I need to have it on screen for the duration of the flight which could be 1-2hrs.

Your link doesn't work for me. I'm in Spain, and the link just brings up a page with a message in Spanish offering to redirect me to Galaxy apps. No other option, so I accept that and it does indeed open the Galaxy Apps store on my phone - but just at the home page. I need to know the name of your app so I can search for it on there. Can you please therefore confirm the name of your app?

most likely the app isn't available for your region, so your galaxy apps app opens the main page instead.

Thanks. I searched for "I Am Alive" in the Galaxy appps store and found it without difficulty, and have downloaded it. Thanks heaps. Just shows, for marketing and practical reasons it's always a good diea to state the actual name of your app whenever you refer to it.
Hi everyone,
The main reason I got this watch was to use as a secondary alti whilst skydiving. I chose it based on the fact that I could use the app to keep the app open.
I tested it during a jump today and unfortunately the watch was still going back to sleep after 2 or 3 minutes. Have Samsung updated the OS to prevent wakelock of any type or something? Has anyone got a workaround or an alternative app?
Alternatively, does anyone know of an android wear OS app method to do this? I may have to refund the S3 and switch to the Huawei watch 2 if I can't get this working unfortunately. It would be a shame if I had to, its a beautiful smart watch (although I have found it to be very limited in certain ways).

So I made the jump to Tizen 3. Unfortunately all of my GWD faces still show up on the device, they wont launch. I figured I would just reload them in GWD...... Yeah.... NO....
I decided to update to GWD 1.5.0 to see if that made any difference and.... nope.
I reset the watch to start from scratch and STILL nope. I continue to get a Warning in GWD, at the very end says "key[end]val[fail]processing result: Check certificate error[-12] failedspend time for pkgcmd is[1890]ms"
I'm no genius, but I read, certificate error(?) The watch is connecting to my network wifi just fine, and in GWD too, just no bueno!
Anyone else?

Confirmed that updating to GWD 1.5.0, loading your watchface and hit F10(rebuild) works.

Are you talking on the Watch itself? If so, just as you load the watch face in GWD, hit F10, it'll "build" the face again, then reconnect to your watch and push it again. You'll have to re-save the tpk

Sorry got it to save properly now but still it disappears off gear as soon as screen times out.
Does tizen 3.0 backup my custom watchface also?? Because when I backup...it's only shows 250kb as its size.
In 2.3.2.3 it used to backup my custom watchface I installed from s3 gear watch designer too.
