Micro Sim in Xperia L C2104

I have an Xperia L as my secondary and Note 2 as primary. The Note had to go to the service centre so I tried using its micro sim in the L. It won't register and keeps saying No sim. I tried moving it around to no avail. Can anyone throw some light as to how I can use my micro sim in the L immediately? Cannot buy an adapter for now.

I suggest you to go for adapter.. Moving sim card around would damage the sim circuit..

Adapter is the way to go....they come really cheap.
Otherwise you may damage the connectors
Maybe you are not putting it in right place in right way.

I seriously suggest you get an adapter, you might break the phone due to this
mirco sim is not designed to go in normal sim

Not detecting microsim

The phone doesn't detect the sim, it was cut by me. Used to be a normal sim, works on other phones but not on this one. I believe its supposed to click when it goes in but that doesnt happen ofc.
I was wondering if there was anyway to get this sim to work.

Please contact service provider they will issue microsim @ cheap price, don't put pressure might be your sim slot will break

You may have cutted out part of the chip, could you post a picture of the sim (chip side)?
Yes, it's supposed to click.
Best thing would be asking your carrier to replace it with an actual microsim

Well it actually doesn't seem well cut...
I'd suggest to trim it and try again before going to the carrier's shop!

NXT-L29 Stock Firmware requested

Phone softbricked after flash TWRP, it says internal storage 0MB

its not soft bricked. u just need to format the data partition, because its encrypted and twrp cannot access it.
go into wipe subsection, press on format data, type yes. it might take a while, so be patient and just let it run. if not, lucky you after that twrp will show the data partition correctly.
just make sure to make a backup first if u have any important data on your phone. naturally

it can take that long, yes. just let it be until it finishes

I see this rom was ported to the moto x pure. It was my favorite go to rom on my old nexus 5x. Any devs interested in porting to the moto g4+?

I think moto g4 plus comes with near stock Android OS..So what difference it will make?

if you would take the time to look at the rom its 100x better than stock. no need for xposed either. i guess the same question could be asked why we "need" cm13.

You could try AOSPE in the meanwhile, I think it is pretty close to what you are looking for.

In one respect, this is kinda silly given the multitude of super-stable ROMs we already have, and in the other I think this phone is in pretty dire need of a decent AOSP/CAF ROM (current is discontinued)- AOSPE as someone mentioned above is unfortunately super laggy compared to stripped down LineageOS or stock.

I'm about to purchase a Z5 (I know that is has 2 years now, but on a sale I think it's still a good buy). I'm wondering if it is possible to convert E6653 to E6683. I have a Huawei P8 lite and I have done it using https://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/general/guide-debranding-converting-single-sim-t3305977 . Is there any thing similar for the Z5?

I think NOT possible. Hardware should support this. After looking sim tray for both models, not possible to do that.

I agree that the hardware must support. In the P8 lite the trays are separated but the second SIM tray holds either the sdcard or the second SIM. You can see it in this picture that the SIM is put on the side
. So the Z5 single SIM tray might hold 2 SIM as well. The question is if the Z5 hardware will read the second SIM in that position (and then the software would have to be dual SIM, of course).
