Gsmarena says it does not support as well as devicespecification. I have personally tried and does not work. The same adapter is working on xperia zl.

However, I can confirm that Xperia L support wireless display instead (if you have compatible TV).

I tried many mhl adapters as well as mice/keyboards/usb keys and it doesn't work

[Q] ANT+

I noticed that in the latest version of MyTracks google has added support for ANT+ devices (ie. HRM's etc). I was wondering if our Nexus S' have the necessary hardware support for ANT+?
Cheers
Did you ever find the answer to this?
I had the same question.
There are some gears for geocaching out there which use ANT+ (Garmin Chirp) and I don't want to buy a garmin for that.
I'm also interested...anyone know something?
I don't believe that the NS or NS4G has ANT+.
http://code.google.com/p/mytracks/wiki/UsingSensors:
As of this writing, the only phones which are ANT-compatible are specific ones in the Sony Xperia series, such as the Sony Xperia Arc. Sony has indicated that a software update will enable ANT support on the Xperia X8, Xperia X10 mini, and Xperia X10 mini Pro in Q1 2011.

[Q] Which kind of earphones (don't) work with Xperia J

Hey there, it's me again. I wonder whether my philips she 9550 will work with Xperia J since there is a difference in the standarts CTIA and OMTP. Does this apply only for headphones/earhpones with built-in microphone or for all kinds? Please reply if you can because such a problem would be a deal breaker for me. Thanks.

Here's something that I found on google
The new Sony Xperia S, Xperia P and Xperia U will use a different 3.5mm headset standard compared to the older Xperia models from 2010 & 2011. The spec sheet for the new 2012 Xperia models highlight that the 3.5mm jack will now use the CTIA standard as opposed to the OMTP standard it was using previously.

I use JVC Xtreme Xplosives with a built in mic and they work fine on the Xperia J.
Btw this article might help you out - http://www.xperiablog.net/2012/02/27/2012-xperia-range-uses-different-3-5mm-headset-standard/
Thank you for the reply and link.
I thought the best way to figure out was to try by myself. So I went to my mobile provider today and played a little with a sample xperia J. My earphones philips she 9550 worked 100% just for you to know. I suppose the problem occurs only for earphones with built-in mic.
You can close the topic now. Thanks

Tv display

Does this phone support HDMI output and what is tv mirroring is it the hdmi thing..??
No, Xperia L doesn't support MHL. Tv mirroring is used to transfer your phone's screen to Sony Bravia Tv's.

There is no official dock for the Xperia L however you can use the Sony Ericsson Live Dock to charge the phone, it does work-I have tried on my Xperia L. The phone charges fine but I am not sure if any other USB peripherals may work as the Xperia L is not officially supported by this dock.

Yea it works well when it comes to charging the phone and looks nice to, good old Sony Ericsson. It isn't easy to find, I got mine off of ebay (pre-owned, still good) cheaply. I have found it here (ebay) and here (amazon) price is ok taking into account it is not easy to find. If I were in your position I would try and find it somewhere closer to where you are then consider online (if you couldn't find it).
Hope this helps.

[Q] Does the Xperia Z3 support MirrorLink?

Does anyone know if the Xperia Z3 supports MirrorLink?
I have a xav-602bt car head unit and would like to know. Currently I have the Xperia Z which works fine. The website with the list of compatible phones says the Z2 and Z1 work but I don't know if the site just needs updating or if in fact the Z3 is simply not supported!
