Description & Specifications:
The Lenovo Tab A7-30 A3300 is a 7" tablet having an IPS capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 600x1024 pixels and a pixel density of ~170 ppi, giving a wide viewing experience.
There are three variants of the Tab A7-30: WiFi only, WiFi+2G (A3300-G/GV), and WiFi+2G+3G (A3300-W/H/HV). Additionlly, there's also a Chinese variant without the preinstalled Google apps, the A3300-T.
The tab shipped with Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box with the first releases, with a 4.4.2 (KitKat) update released by Lenovo, giving a faster and better experience and features. There are also unofficial updates, giving up to Android 5.1.1 with CyanogenMod 12.1. CyanogenMod 13 is also currently in alpha development.
The WiFi variants use an ARM MediaTek MT8121M 28nm quad-core Cortex-A7 SoC with a clock speed of 1.3GHz and a PowerVR SGX 544 GPU in 156MHz, enabling better multitasking. The other two variants use MT8382M, that is very similar to the other SoC. But the latter instead has a Mali-400MP2 GPU.
A7-30 has an internal storage of 8GB, with a dedicated microSD slot for additional storage, up to 64GB. It has 1GB RAM to be used by the system.
It takes photos and videos with the rear camera that captures images up to 2MP, and the front camera capturing pictures up to 0.3MP.
A3300 plays music and audio with the front facing stereo speakers, with features from Dolby Atmos™. It takes audio recordings and calls from the integrated stereo microphone.
The tablet has WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth® 4.0, A-GPS, FM radio and G-sensor (accelerometer). It has a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and transferring media.
The Tab A7-30 has a 3450mAh non-removable lithium polymer battery that gives a usage time of up to 8 hours and a standby time of up to 2 weeks.

*When you download some files on Windows (depending on file type), they will be blocked on Windows by default. You can unblock them on their file properties window.
*To install the drivers, run Install.bat as administrator.
*Just answer Yes/OK/Y to any of the questions asked by the installer. Be sure to disable or remove other programs that could interfere with the installation. Also, for Windows 8.1+ x64 users, you should disable driver signature verification.
*You could verify if the drivers were installed successfully by connecting your tablet while it is turned off and while holding the Volume Down button. It would show a driver installation notification.
*Using the most updated versions of SP Flash Tool will result the flashing of firmware to our device to an error.

*By flashing the GV and HV firmware to the G and H variants respectively, you'll get mobile telephony functions in your device, which was absent originally in those variants.
Instructions for Firmware Flashing with SP Flash Tool:
Install the drivers and extract the SP Flash Tool and firmware folder anywhere you want (I prefer it either on the desktop or the root of storage, C:\).
Run flash_tool.exe with administrator privileges.
In the Download section, click on Scatter Loading. It will open a dialog box, select MT6582_Android_scatter.txt. Make sure every checkbox on the list is checked.
Click the Download button.
While holding the Volume Down key from your powered off tablet, connect it to your PC. It should start flashing the firmware right away. You can release the button after SP Flash Tools started flashing (it will show "Flash (percentage)%" in the progress bar).
After flashing has completed, it should show a window with a check icon. You can then disconnect the cable and reboot your device.
If you are notified at boot that there is an OTA update available to be installed, it is recommended to do it.

With SP Flash Tool and the stock firmware
Do the first step in the instructions for flashing the stock firmware with SP Flash Tool. If you had already done it, skip this.
Replace the stock recovery in the stock firmware with your preferred custom recovery (TWRP 3.x is the most recommended). Backup the stock recovery.img (optional), rename the TWRP .img file to recovery.img then move it to the stock firmware folder.
Delete the checksum.ini file in the same folder. This will make SP Flash Tool skip the verification of checksums of the image files to be flashed to the device, allowing it to flash custom ones.
Run flash_tool.exe with administrator privileges.
In the Download section, click on Scatter Loading. It will open a dialog box, select MT6582_Android_scatter.txt. Make sure only the checkbox on RECOVERY is checked.
Click the Download button.

I have A7-30D variant, do you have any firmware for it?

I previously downgraded my firmware since I had been experiencing problems with my Lenovo Tab by following the steps in a Lenovo forum. Then I rooted it using Kingoroot.
It worked properly after that, but when i tried to update the firmware again, it encountered an error. When I rebooted it, the tablet just went dead. Now i can no longer turn it on.
Is there anyway I can make it work again?

Follow instructions in OP. Then after booting, check for updates, Lenovo rolled out an OTA.

You need SP Flash Tool to flash the stock firmware.

Are you using CM13? The only way to do that is to format your microSD card as adopted storage. The dev said it doesn't work, though. But you could try.
Edit: Formatting the microSD card as internal storage will corrupt the card.

I rooted through Tpsparky Root. Thanks to Mr.SparkyM3 . I have attached the file for rooting to all friends.
First install the MTK 6575 driver in the system (PC).
Enable 'USB debugging' mode in mobile (settings - developer options)
connect mobile through USB cable to the PC
turn on file copy mode in mobile

But anyway stock rom is best.

MIUI V4 works good in Our device.Only one problem (for me) - There is no analog TV. Firmware is from Haipai i9220 (Russian) forum.

But I softbricked my device due to my simple mistake. While using ROM Toolbox lite, I tried to change the font.
I have no problem, while changing the fonts (downloaded through ROM toolbox}, I successfully changed the fonts.
But Yesterday night, I changed the font from local folder of device , Afterthat the device is not booting..Only Android logo.....
So I have to reflash the fimware... Any developer having firmware of this device..... please help..
In service center (chennai, India), also still Firmware not available...
I have seen the firmware topic in the following Russian website.

I solved my problem myself. I got firmware from Russian friends and flashed successfully before 2 days. My only little issue is back camera gives inverted shots. I am searching for rear camera driver. Other than everything is well.
After sending mail to NXG , they sent firmware after 4 days. But that firmware gives error (flash scatter file is invalid) and I cant flash the NXG firmware.

hi，This is for Dapeng A9230 ±. I am not sure that this is for your device. Make a nandroid backup of your Rom , Then you can test this recovery.

dude, to back up your imei, your phone must be r00ted. open your root explorer or similiar, go to " /data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/ ". You will find a file named "MP0B_001", copy it to your sdcard or maybe pc/laptop for future use. So you can paste it into the same folder, and you get your imei back if in case you traped inside "Invalid Imei" problem.

shutdown Your phone
plug in charger
hold vol+ & power button to boot into CWM or TWRP recovery
perform factory reset and system format
install ROM by selecting "install zip from sdcard" option
wait till installation finishes
reboot into new system

download MTK Droid Tools (posted in main thread)
download latest Original iOcean X7 firmware (posted in main thread)
connect Your phone via USB cable with 'usb debugging' option on in "developer options" menu in Settings
run MTK Droid Tools and give it few seconds to start ADB and recognize your cell
move to second tab in main window called "root, backup, recovery"
select option "To choose the boot.img file" & press big button named "Recovery and Boot"
in this step choose the "boot.img" file from original FW
next choose "recovery.img" file from original FW
the program will compile CWM automatically
new "boot" and "recovery" img files will be created in MTK Droid Tools folder (in "recovery" subfolder)
FLASHING CWM USING SP FLASH TOOL
download and open SP Flash Tool (posted in main thread)
make sure you have the MTK USB drivers installed in Your system
open "MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt" from original iOcean X7 firmware (posted in main thread)
de-select all checkboxes in main window except those named "BOOTIMG" and "RECOVERY"
now click on the filename next to "BOOTIMG" and navigate to "boot.img" file created in MTK Droid Tools
next click on the filename next to "RECOVERY" and navigate to "recovery.img" file created in MTK Droid Tools
now shutdown Your phone and remove battery for a few seconds, then put it back in
click "Download" button placed in the top meny bar in SP Flash Tool
now connect Your phone using USB cable and watch the magic happen ("OK" with green circle should appear)
start Your phone - CWM is in place - to enter, power off the phone and use VOL+ & POWER buttons when connected to charger
FLASHING CWM USING MOBILEUNCLE TOOLS
copy "recovery.img" file created with MTK Droid Tools to the root of Your SD card (internal or external - it doesn't matter)
download "mobileuncle tools" from Play Store on Your rooted phone
start the application and grant it su rights
choose "Recovery Update" option and You'll see your previously copied "recovery.img" file from SD card
click it and confirm that You want to flash it
you can enter CWM via MobileUncle app or by using VOL+ & POWER button combination when phone is turned off and powered via charger

Stock firmware ROOT

I'm back to the official 0520 ROM. Your ROM made my phone stuck at random times for about 20 seconds.

When I receive this phone somewhere next month I think I will flash your ROM very soon. That Chinese crap doesn't need to be on my phone

Great!...really thanks!...as I wrote, not all the phone carrier stop tethering, so maybe with one it works but with another not!..

First thing after I flash your rom was test GPS, but unfortunately still not working..

Don't know how were You testing GPS, but everythings working on my phone :/
First of all - Stop GPS in Settngs and edit gps.conf file and replace NTP servers to ones matching Your country - http://www.pool.ntp.org
Next, download GPS Test app from Market and clear current A-GPS configuration. Reboot Your phone, start GPS andf go to its configuration in Settings.
Enable EPO and download lates data, enable A-GPS and use 'Nokia' servers instead of 'Google'.
Now start GPS Test app and go outside for a few minutes - satellites should appear in a while

Installation
Follow the guide on the bottom of this post. You dont need unlocked bootloader, you just need a PC with drivers and sp flashtool. The flashtool is present in every ROM release.
The drivers were present in earlier releases, like SphinX down below.
If you are flashing xiaomi.eu for the first time (or after some other buged rom), make a clean flash of latest original chinese/english version and then flash xiaomi.eu. (at least thats what LoXar is suggesting on the original forums in case of some problems). I personally have flashed the first developer by loxar directly over latest SphinX... and every update afterwards just SYSTEM, leaving userdata and settings intact. Works flawless. Anyway, if you should have some problems with the rom, a clean flash is recomended.
SphinX (seems to be outdated now)
Here is a custom rom made by ManhIT (v2a and v2b) and nguyentankiet (v1c and v1d) from official beta testing team china.
You can flash without problems using a flashtool included in the package. You need to install the drivers first - you will find them in the package too. You dont need to unlock bootloader, so you dont invalidate warranty.
As allways, the flash is on your own risk, nobody else may be held responsible if something goes wrong and the phone gets bricked.
It can be installed from any version, with or without Root!

Installation instructions
- Unzip the downloaded file
- On PC install the 2 driver files for windows drivers MTK (for windows 10 take windows 10 drivers).
- On computer, run as administrator Flash_Tool.exe file from the flashtool folder contained in the zip. To run as admin, right-click and run as administrator.
- On Flash Tool:
Click "Download Agent" and select file DA_SWSEC.bin

- Then remove the tick "preloader" there will remain tick on boot, recovery, system, cache, userdata as on the picture below.

(If you are flashing the rom by quakze with TWRP recovery, uncheck RECOVERY if you dont have unlocked bootloader. If you are comming from a ROM other than xiaomi.eu or original, make a clean flash with userdata checked - a "factory reset" will occur.)
- Turn off the phone completely. Unplug it from PC if usb was connected before.
- Click the "Download" button on Flash Tool.
- On phone: press and hold the Volume down button and plug in the USB cable
> on the bottom of the flashtool you will see the progress, first fast one in red color (now you can release the VOLUME DOWN button), then slow yellow advancement.
When finished, you will see:
Now you can exit the flashtool and unplug and start the phone. First boot may take several minutes (not more than 10 min though, if you stick there for a looong time, retry the flash once more and pay attention to all the steps - untick preloader and tick boot, recovery, system, cache, userdata.
On SphinX: During the first SETUP choose ENGLISH language, otherwise you will have problems with cloud. After the initial setup, you may take any language you like.

I have no idea how to backup IMEI, but i flashed successfully v1c developer and then v1d stable. I have not yet tested the v2a.
The process is easy and smooth, no worries. Once you have installed the drivers on your PC, the rest of it is easy.

I will try it because I was using v1d but after encrypting phone memory (and restarting twice - before that it was working), it ended up in bootloop (and I didn't flash PRELOADER).

mobile data problems
Hello guys, I bought Redmi note 3, it came this morning, I installed SphinXv1d rom everything is ok except one thing. I cannot use my mobile data, it works perfect with wifi, but as far as I disable wifi, internet is lost although mobile data is enabled. I have tried everything: reseted APN settings couple of time, turn the airplane mode on and off, restarted the phone few times, installed sphinkXv2a rom and nothing seems to be working. I have tried to test the mobile internet connection and it said that mobile internet is working properly. But when i'm trying to reach the internet with chrome or any other browser with wifi disabled it says "couldn't load this page". Guys do you have any ideas what may cause this problem? P.S. in the right corner of my redmi note 3 it shows my network provider and 4g sign, therefore that makes me think that it connected to the provider properly plus I can make calls and send sms...

I have a small sd card issue, when i formatted the sd card as internal storage the game or apps don't work if installed on sd card first, but if i install the apps in internal first, they work. So every update or apps installed on sd card I have to reboot every time. On other rom the sd card don't have this issue. - Wiko Fever 4G

No, the bug is still present in b7. And some Magisk module don't work anymore: "AM3D Zirene Sound" and "Magisk Folder Binder(fbind)". I flash the rom with Sp FlashTool.

Flashed on blu life one x using recovery. Camera is inverted and no option for switching between camera views.

Bro facing the same issue with camera . Even my s secondary flashlight gets turned on when torch is switched on.

I updated my LOX to Marshmallow and while it is otherwise working fine, the IMEI is gone.
I applied the baseband fix, and that fixed the baseband OK.
But of the methods suggested to restore the IMEI, none of them work.
I tried the terminal commands both in TWRP terminal and a terminal app, (after rooting), neither worked
None of the other programs seem to work for me either. Help?

6. Put the extracted backup into that folder.
7. Wipe Dalvik,Cache and System.
8. Restore the backup. (Dont worry it will not BOOT your Z5)
9. Now POWER off the mobile.
10. Move to Qfill Mode (Press both VOLUME up+ Down and POwer button).
11. Connect to PC and Restore the Official Rom through QPST.
No more Sahara or Out of Memory error,........................ENJOY

How to FLASH MIUI/OTHER ROMS?
Always make a backup first. and copy the rom in your mobile
1. Boot into TWRP (means you must have bootloader unlocked and only 3.9.075 & 3.9.500 are capable to unlock bootloader)
2. Now in TWRP wipe the cache and dalvik with system
3. (a). Switch to IMG mode in TWRP.
(b). There are 3 image files in the downloaded ZIP folder named as images ( patched_boot,System & Vendor)
4. first flash System, than Vendor and last patch.
5. Done & REBOOT (it might said no ROM installed ignore it.
MIUI 10 is the only rom after flashing it you can go back to stock.
How to FLASH OFFICIAL ZUI 10.5.230?
1. Download
2. Upload to the root of the root memory
3. Rename the package to update.zip
4. Update it in 3 dots above in the official update application.

thank you for your work.
i tested first with zui5 and then zui10 they both booted successfully, the only problem i am facing is that vendor and persist doesnt mount, hence mobile network and wifi is not available, and you cant move past the activation screen, so i am working on that
it looks like it is not being mounted because of encryption, so i am force mounting it by flashing it in twrp.

I can't copy MUIU file to internal storage, it says file limit larger than device limit ?
It's more than 4gb

I am on Pie 9. Is that true if i flash MIUI 10, then using QFIL to flash stock Rom, and i can go back to stock???

Copy it on usb or mmc or format your device on NTFS format FAT file system dosbnot support larger files.
