What is this HIDDEN50M given at the end of the PIT filename? - General Questions and Answers

Hi. I am about to flash the PIT file for my particular device. I know it may brick my phone if I flash the wrong PIT file. I want to be sure. Now, I downloaded the PIT file for my model number BUT there is something given at the end of the PIT filename. It is "HIDDEN50M". What does it stand for? I have 16 GB version of the S5. Some people say even 32 GB version could brick the 16 GB device. Could someone tell me what is this "HIDDEN50M"? Thanks.

Samsung compatiblity with GT-p3110 & GT-p3113

Can anyone help me, I need to know how much GT-p3110 is compatible with GT-3113...?
I have a need for a .opt & .pit file, for GT-p3113 8gb. I have tried other forums, but with no luck in getting a verification email from them yet, as this process has been a couple of days and still waiting. My efforts are not at an all loss, as I have found my answers there, just not able to communicate with other members there, so...?
I have found this .pit file here, and this post has mentioned that is was working on an 8gb device, but just how compatible is this .pit file...???
Here is that .pit file by the way.

Would like a bump, as I am in need of this pit file as well.
What do you need this for exactly...?
Can you just find a Stock Rom, for your device and start from there...?
Again, what is the need for a .pit file..., there may be another work around, by just installing a Stock Rom and then re-root...
Sent from my GT-P3113 using XDA Premium HD app
I've been planning on gathering enough files to make a completely full system recovery in case I mess up my GP-P3110 really bad.
I have finally encountered the factory firmware for my gTab which is has the ZTO CSC but what I really had in mind was to be prepared for even the hard bricks. When it comes to my Galaxy S GT-I9000B all I need is the original fimrware (which I already have for the gTab) and a .pit file, but I have nothing else besides the original firmware for my gTab.
I came across this page (http://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-tab-2-7-0-p3110-root-clockworkmod-recovery-96473/) where there seems to be the .pit file for the P3110, but I'm not sure if it actually does the job. Can anyone confirm this?
Also, I was wondering what else I should have in order to bring my P3110 back from the dead, since someone said something about a .opt file also. What is it?
Thanks for the time!

[Q] Question on [How To] P5100 32G Upgrade to P5100XXCLI1 JB OTA + CWM + Root + PIT

Hi there, I am running a P5100 32 Gigabyte version. The PIT files included with the ODIN Flasher are only for the 8 GB and 16 GB version. Any idea where I can get hold of the 32GB PIT or alternatively what must I modify in the PIT in order to make it 32 GB compatible? Or can I use the 16GB without any issues?
Hi All, have the same issue. Don't want to do anything until I can find a 32G PIT file for P5100
Any help will be greatly appreciated

Sangiro, I can confirm the P51000XXCLI1 is running without any issues on my 32GB P51000. :good:
I have gone ahead and used the 16GB PIT file (by accident and stupidity), now hoping that someone somewhere will provide a 32GB Pit file...
My fault for not doing what I read a million times! 'Re-Partition' self selected after selecting the pit file for 16G devices, still not sure why I did this...
But hey, thats the fun and exitement with these toys!
Is there anyone that can shed some light here? I still can not find a 32GB PIT file for my tab 2 :crying:
Hi all, am I posting this in the correct place? I'm allready asking in other places?
Can anyone help with directing me to find a 32GB PIT file? My fingers are bleeding from searching! haha
I have asked on the sammobile forums as well... :crying:
Please help ><

[Q] please help me find sgh-t999v 16gb pit file

My phone is not happy with me.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-T999V 16gb on Wind Mobile (Canada).
I can only get it to boot to download mode. I can not reflash recovery. All attempts have failed.
I suspect I have a corrupt partition file.
I know playing with PIT files are a last resort, and I am now there.
I have just paid a local store $35 dollars, and they can't do anything with my phone. (I suspect they too are trying to track down the appropriate PIT file)
I have done a ton of searching, but have not had any luck.
Can anyone point me to the sgh-t999v 16gb pit file?
Thanks a ton!
:fingers-crossed:

It has some very easy instructions on how you can create a .pit file from your phone.
Thanks.

[Q] PIT Files Database

Hi everyone, I want to make a thread that will host PIT Files for any device capable. I already know how to make them using Heimdall, I would just like some assistance regarding how detailed the data should be for each PIT file.
For example, i have a "Galaxy Note (ATT GSM) SGH I717 quincyatt", lets say i created a PIT of the device, could someone else benefit and use that PIT for their SGH-I717?
Also would it matter what ROM I'm running when making a PIT (I make all my PITs on stock ROMs only), but lets say I'm running stock JZO54K.I717UCMD3, I make a PIT file and someone who needs the file for what ever reason is planing on pairing this PIT file to flash while flashing another ROM in Odin would that PIT file be incompatible, or are the ROM and PIT independent?
Any other helpful info would be appreciated, I've been reading up on PIT files throughout XDA and haven't really obtained conclusive knowledge, specifically on the questions I'm asking here.
what I ultimately plan to do is have device specific detailed list with links to PIT files per device, but i just want to know how specific the info per phone needs to be. Thanks in advance!
Ohh and one more thing, I've noticed LG and Sony devices use tools, similar to Odin, are PIT Files specific to Samsung (i know what PIT stand for), or can this info be pulled from other devices too? I think I remember getting partition data from one of my Motorola Droid phones way back by doing something similar, I'm not too sure though.

They are independent indeed, and pit is partitioning info which depends on device model only. So anyone with same model could use your .pit file with any ROM. And, besides, it is almost imposiible to find .pit file for i717 somewhere in internet so it would be greatly appreciated.
