Samsung compatiblity with GT-p3110 & GT-p3113 - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can anyone help me, I need to know how much GT-p3110 is compatible with GT-3113...?
I have a need for a .opt & .pit file, for GT-p3113 8gb. I have tried other forums, but with no luck in getting a verification email from them yet, as this process has been a couple of days and still waiting. My efforts are not at an all loss, as I have found my answers there, just not able to communicate with other members there, so...?
I have found this .pit file here, and this post has mentioned that is was working on an 8gb device, but just how compatible is this .pit file...???
Here is that .pit file by the way.

Would like a bump, as I am in need of this pit file as well.

What do you need this for exactly...?
Can you just find a Stock Rom, for your device and start from there...?
Again, what is the need for a .pit file..., there may be another work around, by just installing a Stock Rom and then re-root...

I've been planning on gathering enough files to make a completely full system recovery in case I mess up my GP-P3110 really bad.
I have finally encountered the factory firmware for my gTab which is has the ZTO CSC but what I really had in mind was to be prepared for even the hard bricks. When it comes to my Galaxy S GT-I9000B all I need is the original fimrware (which I already have for the gTab) and a .pit file, but I have nothing else besides the original firmware for my gTab.
I came across this page (http://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-tab-2-7-0-p3110-root-clockworkmod-recovery-96473/) where there seems to be the .pit file for the P3110, but I'm not sure if it actually does the job. Can anyone confirm this?
Also, I was wondering what else I should have in order to bring my P3110 back from the dead, since someone said something about a .opt file also. What is it?
Thanks for the time!

[Q] Completely empty Galaxy Tab 8.9

Hi.
I hope i'm not screwed now. I tried to root my tab to ics yesterday, but it hang during installation. Now the sd is completely empty, not one file, and the cache partition is also empty. No single file at all.
So how do i do now, the computer won't recognize my tab with KIES. I know how to root an use Odin.
Can i install ICS with Odin? It seems it only accepts, tar, md5 and smd files. All roms i have found are zips and wont be openable with Odin.
So now i really need your help guys..
Thank you.
First of all, sorry for violating the forum rules, but i can't help this guy without posting a link ;/

Total Reset/Wipe of device

I'm running CM10.1, I encrypted my device in order to use BYOD from work. After encryption I now have a significant lag (2+ seconds) when using device and want to reset phone to stock. From the guidance I have found ODIN is the only way to complete this task which requires a *.PIT and the *.BIN from Google. The problem I'm having is I cannot locate any *.PIT file for the Nexus S i9020T, all the links are broken or the file is no longer hosted on that site. A post I found on another site said that the PIT file is the firmware, is this correct? My current firmware is I9020XXKI1, which of course I cannot locate the current firmware either. Any guidance would be very much appreciated!
I guess this forum is not very active anymore, was really hoping there was someone that has experience with Odin and the i9020T that could give a little insight. I keep reading and there is conflicting info everywhere and cannot take the chance of bricking phone because of work. Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks I had not found that guide before. Worked great!

p6200 on the sgh-t869

Sorry for such a newbie kinda question but I couldn't seem to find an answer.
Is it possible to run a p6200 rom on the sgh-t869?
Or would there be additional problems?
My wife did this. She followed this guy's advice. Since she's getting a new tablet, she has decided to test it out for herself, once and for all.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47730569&postcount=2&nocache=1&z=4564810611773282
The only thing she did different was that she used a stock based P6200 rom from here, instead of the one linked to in the other guy's post.
Her tablet identifies itself as a P6200 and whenever she runs the Speedtest app to test her connection speeds, it abruptly stops when doing the upload test, and her status bar says H+ instead of 4g or LTE but other than that, she hasn't had any problems.
She posted her experience and what she did on her forum.
I wont post the link here as I am not sure if it is allowed, but if you want to see the topic for yourself then pm me.
That looks interesting. Might give that a try.
I see that uses a pit file and repartition. Do you know of a pit file for stock software that came with it to partition back?
Sent from my SGH-T869 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I don't think she has had to re-partition her tablet at all. The pit file came inside the zip for the first rom she flashed, but she ended up not liking it and so she flashed another stock based rom instead.
When flashing the second rom, she didn't choose a pit file, she just flashed it like she would a regular rom.

try using a pit file with odin. im thinking it wouldnt have an error if you had the pit file.
to answer your question "what have i done?" it would seem, you changed things you didnt understand and didnt realize the consequences, resulting in a big @SS mess
dont do that
Like I said odin won't work because of unexpected partition layout.
I'm fully aware of the consequences however I will be the recipient
Of a Samsung galaxy note 4 next week so I was just experimenting
And I will definitely not be rooting that

ill just assume you dont know what a pit file is, and ill move on. good luck!
No need to assume, I'll be honest I've no idea what a pit file is or how to use one
Etc etc, however I'd be interested to learn if you can give me the basics, everybody has to start somewhere and the only way to progress is if people share the knowledge,
So what do you know that can help me??

go to your devices forum where the return to stock post is, and see if there is a pit file for whatever version you have. if not, try a search for pit over your general and q&a forums. im sure you will find some, just need to match them to the stock files.
on odin, there is a pit box, check it and link your pit file.
I'd just like to let you know I have managed to sort my phone out
I got a clockwork mod ,and now I'm using something called CyanogenMod
I'm not quite sure how I have managed to achieve this but I have my WiFi connected
to my phone again, Odin is installed and working with no unexpected partition layout
Problems, however my SD card won't mount and I can't seem to get Google playstore
But for now its a small price to pay considering where I was this afternoon. I think I've done well
