Hi,
Before I start creating an application that would bypass the headset earphone jack switch(the one the activates once you insert a headset), I would like to know or find out first, if it is programatically possilble to bypass this manually by a registry setting or an application. If yes, kindly advice as to where I should start.
I found similar application while searching for solution to
fix sound problem while using VOIP on Titan/Mogul
and other HTC devices. It was writen for ETEN but
to my disapoitment doesnt work on the Titan

Hi,
As I understand it the HTC models that do have an FM Radio build in can switch the FM Radio output the the main speaker even while the headset is plugged in. It needs to be pluggen in; it's theis antenne. So my guess is that it must be possible. I myself would be very interested in such a program.
Good luck, hope you'll sucseed,
Cheers,
Cactus

yup
anybody out there who could point me in the right direction? where should i start...?
still no luck on this - pls help, even just to point us in the right direction
i've search desperately but no luck i know it is possible; first because the built fm radio application can stream through both speaker and earphone. second, i run into a bluetooth app that can divert/stream audio(not only calls). this leads me to conclude, that is it possible. i just don't have infos i need to create one. i've read many msdn articles, tutorials but still no luck that is specific.
please to all the programmers out there, help us. this is just a very simple app and it would hurt 5mins of your time just to point me in the right direction. I am most willing to view/review servelar even tons of source codes that is very similar or close to the solution we are looking for, you just have to share it to us. thank you. i hope somebody out there could help us.

In the registry:
HKLM/System/State/Hardware
change the key "Headset" 0 to 1.
but the headphones works like antenna and you dont hear any radio station.

thank you ryomahino, for taking time to reply. i'm already aware of this registry work around and have done this already, but the hardware switch still persists. aslo sometimes or when you reset, it does not persists. so the only solution is having at switch, that will run the audio both on the headset and speaker, pretty much like what the fm radio does, but must also work on calls, together with the microphone. im pretty sure this is very much simple for those experience programmers out there. if we put together that fm radio and bluetooth audio capability then this would work. just need a little push/help as to where start. or if I could look into those source codes then we are ready to go...
technical question on fm radio app
Gurus/programmers/anybody,
Does anybody know, or at the least, give me an idea, as to how the o2 xda atom build in fm radio application, programmatically (technically) toggle from stereo headset to speaker? Just even, point me to the right direction, pls, I'll read tons of infos, if need be...
Had same problem on my Raphael, here is what I did:

Maybe this or similar would help you as a workaround too.....
this app would be great for htc touch hd!
i use normal 3,5inch headphones to listen to music but when i do a call i always have to plug them out! would be nice to have an app that automatically disables headset when you are in a call so you can have your headphones attached but still talk with the phone!
Moved to Q&A section
hi,
my omniaII assumes that a headset is always plugged into the mobile, therefore it doesn't play music or even doesn't support answering a call simply, unless I connect a headset and listen or speak by that!!! I've tried to fix it by referring to a good serviceman, but he said that the issue is about motherboard, and he couldn't solve it for me! now I wonder if I can solve this in a software form before finding another serviceman out of my city!!
I mean do u know or even is it possible to change settings or registry values of system to play music from both of headset and outer speaker, simultaneously??if yes,How can i do this?
I vitally need this ans,tnx in advance for ur answers.
I tried to do it my self but i failed, thought i'd put it as a challenge for someone if its possible or maybe if someone has already done it and maybe willing to share?
I've bought Logitech H600 headphones and it comes with microphone and a Bluetooth usb connector.
The problem i ran into is weird but i bet many of us would have gone through it before or probably somewhere been fixed but as i am not aware of where about thus thought to make a thread here to share with all.
Microphone & headphones works with computer and doesn't have any problem in making calls through skype and other apps using computer.
The real problem is with the phone..
1: The headset works perfectly it does connect with Phone and plays MEDIA files through headphones without any problem.
BUT!
2: it doesn't direct calls even though it has microphone, where i dont understand why would it work on PC and not on phone even though it does have headphones and microphone, is it possible to work things out for this like writing small script or an app to fix this issue some how?
I'd love to know if any of you guys have ran into this and have problem with this and dont want to lose the beloved headset...
Cheers in advance for all those who reply and try to resolve this issue.
still looking.
Hi,
I have a technical question regarding changing/re-routing microphone.
Here's my problem, it seems like my micro stopped working properly recently (maybe after a drop). The main microphone produces very little sound input and because of that, voice call doesn't work -- people can't hear me very well at all from the other side. Also voice recording doesn't work.
Spaker phone mode and headset mode works just fine. So i know the main-heandset-mic is broken.
My solution:
So I've tried a few approach, including editing the mixer_paths.xml file in system/ect/mixer_paths.xml
I have successfully replaced the main-mic with the speaker-mic and this seems to help a little bit. I'm able to record sound again using the speaker-mic.
But during call, it won't active that mic. I think android turns off all the other mic (both speaker-mic and headphone-mic, if it doesn't detect a headset plugged in and if I'm on normal handset mode).
Does any developers who knows android well enough to help me with this? I think somehow if I can have it so that android won't turn off my spaeker-phone mic when I'm in normal call mode would work, since the I've already replaced the mixter path profile of main-mic with that of speaker-mic.
Hope this is not too confusing..... I've trying my best to describe the problem. it's been very frustrating.
Hey! I have a problem
The problem
So the thing is that I have a Bluetooth headphone but its microphone is so horrible people can't understand me if I use it. So I'd like to use it only for output, and internal microphone as input on Discord.
I know there are a lot of threads about this but either they don't work for me or there isn't any solution on it.
Solution #1
I thought about installing pulseaudio but
- it doesn't seem stable
- I don't know if it could allow me to do this (could it?)
Solution #2
I also thought about another solution which could be disabling external microphones making them unusable at all, but I don't know if it's possible, and if it is, how?
Solution #3
I also thought about preventing Android to detect the microphone on the headphones, making them recognized without microphone.
Solution #4
Or I could make an application which allow me to do it, but how? Is it possible? It doesn't seem to be.
I'd really like to find a solution because for the moment I use WO Mic to use the phone as a microphone for the computer and make my calls on the computer, which is not normal as a device under linux should be able to do what I want without problems, computers do it!
