I think I replied to your message in another thread asking the same thing. You HAVE TO GET IT REPAIRED. I went through the exact same thing, there's no other way to fix it. Samsung will replace the motherboard for you

Yeah but it's T-Mobile and the sticker is partially pink they will say it's was water that had damaged the phone
Also would an fy motherboard fit if there both nearly the same thing???

I think FY would be a fine replacement, but I wouldn't suggest switching the parts on your own

I know how to replace it, but if someone needs to flash the imei or something I'll let them do it.

Unless you unzip and look around in the rom No you wouldnt know. What makes you say this

I just been reading about the growing number of trojans in Android and got to thinking that as I flash quite a lot of Roms I wouldn't have a clue.
I assume that if I unzipped a bad Rom windows wouldn't recognise it as a trojan/ virus.
If i remember correctly, lowveld said if he wanted to, he could put something nasty in his ROM. He said that when some dude questioned about the security of his ROM. Cmiiw
It's all about trusting the devs guys and always flash a custom ROM from xda forum if you found that you like.

btw dont know if you know this but there is an update for the ares 11a that upgrades it to android 6.0.1
to upgrade you need a micro sd
first download this

then you just stick the zip file on the sd and turn of the tablet put the sd in then boot it up
then unlock the tablet and it will ask you if you want to upgrade and then you just press upgrade

Whats the best way to root a Galaxy J7 from tmobile USA, model SM-J700T?
I thought I would have this j7 rooted already myself.
Ran into fastboot issues like in the V10 forums after mm update. Seems fastboot oem unlock is disabled yet you can click to unlock in developers? Kinda of pisses me off about that. Everyone blamed LG for that but now I see a 2nd T-Mobile phone with same issue.

According to that post, you can with the F variant CF- Auto Root but there's no recovery at the moment. Well, no twrp anyway.

Hopefully soon since this is an amazing phone. Its the best ohone I ever had in my lufe. It even rivals the Note series.

Okay. The last Samsung device I rooted was a note 2 and I used a well put together odin setup. Stupid me forgot there's no fastboot on sammys. [emoji12]
I am also now reminded why I don't use samsung.....
But this toy was dirt cheap so onward we go!

Yeah the J7 is good for the price without all the bells and whistles. I am seriously thinking of returning it for a refund and getting a Note 5.
I can understand that. I didn't get a note partly because since i want to remove as much samsung software as possible, it makes the s-pen almost unusable therefore a waste of the extra money. Also, i am little impressed with this device for the money. Had it been only 1-1 1/2 gig of ram like the other models I'd pass on it.

The only reason I"m returning this phone is because it lacks an LED notification light. If it had it I would really keep it.

I tried using twrp for j700 and will install but for some reason cannot boot into recovery.

I think I messed up, let me tell you about the phone.
1. The IMEI says "unknown"
2. The security is last updated february 16
3. Wifi keeps on disconnecting
4. It's tmobile unlocked and it won't work with a cricket sim
5. Its very slow and laggy

It's not for TWRP flash, I just need a boot.img from PD2 or PC3, I don't think it matters which?

if not u should be able to extract one from any pd2 custom rom
prob easier than extracting from pd2 stock firmware
