Hi there i'm new with Samsung so after some flash with odin i got 6.0.1 MM with my G920P. But something went wrong that Sprint boot screen disappeared. I am looking to get it back and realized that my CSC change from SPR to XAS.
I have tried many time flash back to stock 5.1.1 SPR then root install Phone INFO *Samsung* to use that CSC change, after changed i use factory reset and wipe cache in recovery mode then i flash one more time 5.1.1 ROM SPR stock. I have checked the CSC applied when flashing process finish in recovery mode it said CSC applied : SPR and i got multi CSC: VMU SPR XAS and 1 more i don't remember. After that i reboot then my mobile come in the starter setting screen. But after some mins it auto reset then my CSC back to XAS.
Anyone can help me please

I currently have Galaxy S6 G920FD. I prevously I am on 5.0.2 with CSC:GLB (Countryhilippines, Network:Globe). I successfuly flashed the French 5.1.1 ROM. Now I flashed back to my native Globe 5.1.1. Problem is the CSC is Thailand and not Globe. How do I change the CSC without root? Tried going to Recovery mode doing full cache wipe and full reset but still it sets the Thailand CSC. Thank you very much.

no-one has info on this?
I bought my S6 in Colombia although I live in Panama. It is the SM-G920I.
I found that a Panama app I wanted to install would not install because it said the country was wrong. I guess that may be something to do with the CSC. I had naively assumed the phones in Colombia would be the same as the phones available in Panama. I now see from Sammobile that there are different firmwares for Colombia and Panama. So I downloaded the Panama firmware and installed it with Odin. Odin did its stuff and said that the installation was successful. Both firmwares are 5.0.2.
However, when the phone rebooted it was exactly the same as before and PhoneInfo still shows it as having the Colombian firmware. The only change was that I lost my Pingpong root.
Sorry for the long explanation but what have I done wrong? How can I get the Panama firmware on the phone?
TIA

You Need to download another firmware, i recommend to you to download the Trinidad And Tobago firmware, i tell you because latin america has csc codes for many countries but if your country does not have csc code it sets to latin american firmware because of your EFS Folder, if it doesnt work to you please download a firmware from France or Spain. if you doesnt want to lose pingpong root do not upgrade to a kernel made after 15 May 2015
Please do not upgrate to 5.1.1 Firmware it Sucks

Thanks. I will give that a try. Would it be the CSC that is stopping the app I want from installing, saying it is the wrong country?
If so, is there an easier why just to change the CSC? I have done some searching but everything I've found seems to be quite old and probably not working for Lollipop.

Try this to change your csc code:
1. type in the dialer *#06#, copy ur IMEI
2. type in the dialer *#272*IMEI HERE and add a #
IT WILL WIPE YOUR DATA

Thanks but that doesn't work. I get Unknown Application. I think that doesn't work on the S6. I also tried using Phone Info to change the CSC but that also doesn't seem to be compatible with the S6 even though it shows my firmware is multi-CSC.

Sorry but what do you mean do not let to install csc files? I did stop Odin auto-rebooting and went to recovery but that didn't seem to help. How do I stop it installing the wrong CSC files?
If I was willing to lose warranty now, would installing TWRP and maybe a custom ROM make it easier to change the CSC?
Thanks.

I am stuck in BNG csc code and i cant change it because i need to Trip KNOX, but i changed my csc code From ING to BNG.
- When odin finish flashing if Auto-Reboot option is ticked, your samsung will reboot and it shows a Android robot instaling something and later says Erasing... you cant let this happen, untick auto reboot and you need to reboot your galaxy in recovery mode and it will show CSC Check Failed and you have to wipe data and shutdown your device and enter in download mode and reflash the firmware. It worked for me.
if you trip knox and you install twrp it will be easier because you can install a custom rom and change your csc code rooted.

Thanks for all the advice. I am away for a few days so cannot risk reflashing my phone until I get back home. Will try again then.
I have a VOD Uk device I flashed to BTU so it was unbranded. With the MM coming out I plugged into smartswitch to change back. All went fine however it selects SIM csc and not VOD as it is a multi csc. Now I can't use wifi calling with this csc. In tried multiple flashes and wiping cache and resets. I've even gone to the XEF rom and back and still get SIM csc when i flash it.
Is there any way of selecting the correct csc or editing the firmware without tripping Knox to just install the VOD csc.
Many thanks for your help.
I would also like to know if this can be done.:good:

I'm hoping there is a bug in smartswitch in relation to the Voda firmware as other country's like Voda Germany are restoring and getting SIM csc as well not the one specified in the restor
Smartswitch won't let me restore either, it give an error saying sm-g920f not compatible :crying:.
any of you folks got anywhere with this issue? I'm still stuck on SIM
hi everyone,
i recently bought a used Galaxy S8+ here in japan, with the model number being SM-G955FD and android version 7.0.
i tried updating it manually and using the smart switch app but nothing happens and the app says its up to date.
i tried doing a factory reset on the phone but instead of the normal recovery menu i got a odin menu.
I think the old owner changed the firmware and now im stuck.
im quite new to android so i dont know much about what to do.
any help is appreciated.
Edit:
my firmware is G955FXXU1AQH3, and CSC code is XXV-vietnam.
i tried using odin to install a official firmware but it fails at boot.bin and on the phone it says secure check fail bootloader.
i really dont know what to do.
Im going to dump some info from my phone:
System Info:
Android 7.0
Samsung Experience Version 8.1
Baseband Version G955FDXXU1AQH3
CSC XXV/XXV/SKC
Phone INFO Samsung:
Bootloader Version G955NKSU3CRI3
PDA Version G855FDXXU1AQH3
CSC version G955FOXM1AQH3
Baseband Version G955NKOU3CRI1
Original CSC code XXV
Active CSC code XXV
Avaiable CSC codes INS, ITV, THL, TUR, XEO, XFE, XME, XSG, XSP, XTC, XXV
Its not rooted.
Edit: Forgot to mention but on the back of my phone it says SM-G955N, download mode is in korean and on the Recovery menu it says G950NKSU1AQG7.
Hi.
I just bought the Note 20 Ultra from may carrier and First what i wanted to do was DEBRAND. So acknowladge from Note8 i thought that, ill download firmware XEO - for my coutry flash it via ODIN and BANG.... but nope.. it didnt went as i expected, i mean flashing went great but CSC doesnt change. As i read some forums there was solution for Andorid10 but Ive got Android11. So im asking here "is there any solution" to change CSC to XEO ?
yeah the android 10 version method works still. Downgraded my note 20 Ultra 5G with android 11(1. Jan Patch) to Android 10(build No: N986BXXU1ATGI ) must be the Juli patch! Changed the csc with ChangeCSC Tool and after that flashed the newest Android 11 Firmware again via Odin (Build No: N986BXXS1CUA2)
My Device was branded on Vodafone.

I have found if you configure a couple of things first, CSC change still works during firmware flash.
1. enable OEM Unlock (in developer options)
2. disable FIND MY PHONE, & logout of Samsung AND Google accounts
3. Go into downloader mode and flash XEO or BTU FW (use CSC file not CSC_HOME)
4. Boot up device with your SIM Card installed.
5. During setup, phone will reboot and change to the correct CSC to match the firmware flashed.
Be aware thet your data partition wil be wiped so backup everything before you start.
Also, note the prduct CSC will not be changed but SIM1/SIM2/eSIM will be changed as expected.
Finally, you will get the correct OTA upgrades automatically for the flashed FW CSC (BTU in my case)
Good luck.
