Hi
I deleted my OS on my phone using twrp. I am now trying to reinstall the OS I deleted. The model of phone is a Samsung 5 SM-g900w8. The carrier is Telus Mobility in Canada. The steps I have taken so far is copy a ROM on to a SD card and insert it into the phone that is not working. When I do this TWRP does not show anything on the micro SD card. The second method I had tried is using fast-boot. I tried push the ROM on to my android device. Both methods I tried failed because I am probably not doing the steps properly. I am not even sure if the ROM I am using is proper. I have been searching the internet and don't even know what I am looking for. I found one site and download the ROM hoping it was correct. Where can I find correct Stock Rom for my phone? Maybe I could not push using fast-boot because I do not have the correct file? Why is the SD card showing (0)MB
Thank You for your help. Its will be greatly appreciated

hi guys,
i've got the same problem. i tried flashing Omega ROM on my SGS2 I1900G version DZKL3 but found out that it only works for the non-G version.
So, i restored using CWM but now, my SIM cannot be recognized and it says baseband unknown. My IMEI also lost!
Anyone got this problem before?
A few xda threads mention that i need to rename some corrupted files using adb shell. Not familiar with that method and I'm not sure if it will really work. DOnt want to further screw up the phone.
Any help will be appreciated.
Begone!

Is not recognizing my external Sd. I am running CM9. Everything was working fine for a week. All of suddenly no SD card recognition .
Is there a step or steps for me to correct this problems. I want to go back to the Stock Exhibit rom, but has been unable to do so. I am at a lost, I have no idea what to do. In other word my phone and I am screwed. There a bevy of problems I have created and do not know how to correct them. Any help and advice would be appreciated.
Thank You in advance.
This is part of the risk you assume when you play around with roms. If you are not willing to assume that risk, then don't play around with things.
If your card is not being detected, make a backup of your card to your computer and format the sd card. Then copy the contents back once the card is recognised. If that is not working, then buy a new sd card and try with that one. It's quite unlikely that you phone has a broken sd card reader.
Not Recognizing my Sd Card
I assumed the risk, and I am not blaming anyone. I appreciate your help. Thanks.

I asked for advice about why my phone was not recognizing my SD card. I appreciate your suggestion. I accept all responsibility for what happened to my phone as I was playing around with things. It is not the end of the world, if I cannot get it back to recognizing the SD card or when it is connected to the USB. I will and can continue to use it as it is running CM9. Just wanted to return it to stock; so that I could play around with it again and flash a new custom rom to it. I am not deterred because of this one hiccup.
I thank you for that I have formatted the SD, tried another one and still no regonition. It can be the worst case scenario my sd card reader could be shot but I did learned how to flash and root, install a custom rom...no regrets there. Thak You for your help.
Hopefully you had made a nandroid backup of the stock rom after you had (again hopefully) installed recovery.
If that is the case then you can boot into recovery and restore the stock rom nandroid backup. If you do not have that, then things will get more complicated. You'll have to find a stock nandroid backup for that specific phone+carrier from somewhere and load it back while in recovery. If you don't have recovery, you'll have to push that on first while your phone is connected to the computer via usb.
I got it back by flashing stock via ODIN
I am back with the stock rom. Much thanks to all the people at XDA for posting questions and answers for the same problems I was having. I just kept reading question and answers forum pertaining to the Exhibit and I finally found the answers; of course nothing was easy after the ODIN download, the phone was in a rebooting loop. Someone had the same problem and I found the answer. I tried the solution and the phone booted up perfectly. I will give myself a week and then I will root it again and install one of the custom roms for The Exhibit 2. But now I am too tired and so glad to have my phone back as it was when I got it via Tmobile.
Thank you and everyone for your help and explaining it in terms whereas a person like myself came solve his/her problems.

Thank you, that is exactly what I did. Have a good day!
I have a big problem with my HTC (1.5 Ghz Tegra). I have rooted my phone and tried to install custom rom named Orio X. Although I followed the instructions, it's stuck on boot logo. I haven't saved my stock rom. I don't know what should I do. When I with Hboot, it always says checking SD card update.... when I unplug USB, it works, but it can't access fastboot on my pc (waiting for devices) after reconneting. I clean cache and darvik, but it didn't help. Is there any way that i can save my phone?

Best place to get help in your case is in the ROM thread directly.
Please check second post for detailed installation instructions and the ROM FAQs.
Alternatively you can ask in the One X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
Good luck !
It's impossible for me to transfer via adb anything to my HTC, i reinstalled drivers and did everything, but nothing happened. Is there any other way how to transfer files to phone storage, maybe the rom is corrupted and i would try some different rom?

Please ask in the threads/forums I linked in my previous answer.
There you will hopefully get proper help from users having the same device and/or same custom ROM like you.
Thanks for your understanding. Thread closed.
Hi guys, Im new to all this rooting stuff and whilst in twrp recovery, I accidentally wiped my OS. Please help me, My phone is now a potato and have no clue what to do.
My phone is a Moto g xt1072
I can access twrp and bootloader
Also my phone was stuck on the bootloader animation on the start up, this was the reason i accidentally wiped my OS
And also i do not own an sd card for my phone yet, So using that method is out of the equation

Hey I hope you have all your important files and other data clouded or backed-up somewhere. Sounds like you bricked your phone, and sounds like you have a moto g 2nd gen (Titan). Here's a link to the thread on factory firmware images: forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/moto-g-2014-factory-firmware-images-t2869485
I recommend looking for the factory firmware image for your xt1072 and flashing. You'll get a fresh boot (like a factory reset), so make sure you have a back-up of any important files prior to doing this. In TWRP recovery you might be able to see files, but that might not be too useful without being able to copy them to a computer. You'll likely find more relevant info on threads that are related to your phone model. Good luck.

Cheers man, I shall try and give this a go.... I didn't backup anything :crying:
Ok, so i have downloaded the factory xt1072 file from what i found on the thread you sent me. How do i install it on my device
Your best bet is taking this to the moto g 2nd gen (Titan) section on the forum, other users of the same phone would be better help for this.

ollieshikarii would need to be able to transfer a file to the SD card (internal storage), which I think requires being able to boot the phone.
Rule of thumb, keep all important data on a phone backed up to the cloud, and larger files on a memory card if possible.

Please edit thread title as "solved".
Hi, My tab just got broken and stuck with the stock recovery only. I tried many ways to get it back working. But it seems the stock rom somehow corrupted. Now I know the board number with chip respectively: ma4-818-v12, ATM7029. It is 8inch tab, non 3g, dual camera, wifi, SD card slot which seems to be working and an HDMI. Fortunately I found the exact stock rom for this device but I cannot download it because it's from some Chinese site I guess and it wont let me download for some reason. I don't read Chinese. He is the link: gujianba.com/read-htm-tid-88744.html .
I tried to install custom recovery, the device isn't rooted but it failed with every package through SD card. ADB gets the connection.. That much I can tell. Anyone can help me to fix this please help. Thanks.
