Hello.
I apologize in advance for probably silly question
Is there any way to obtain the root to the latest stable firmware?
The bootloader is unlocked, I boot TWRP using fastboot:
fastboot boot recovery.img

Install SuperSU.zip and after restart in an endless white logo is displayed on a black background. As far as I understand this called bootloop.
The same thing if the flash TWRP. I tried different versions of TWRP and SuperSU.
Is there some way to obtain root access on the official stable ROM V7.2.3.0.LXKCNDA?
Maybe there are some features of obtaining root after unlocking the bootloader?
Thanks in advance for any answers.
backup of rom in twrp first and after...
Flash UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.65-20151226141550.zip, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache and reboot.
If it don't works may be do a clean install of stable xiaomi.eu with the fallowing procedure:
format data, system, cache, flash zip rom, flash supersu and after that reboot.
i hope it works.
if you do a clean install you lost all your data in operating system but mantains all data in internal memory.
after this wait at least 10 to 15 minutes to boot.
thanks for reply
unfortunately it did not work with the official ROM V7.2.3.0.LXKCNDA and V7.2.4.0. After zip installation, for 15 and more minutes hanging at boot logo.
with xiaomi.eu_multi_libra_V7.2.3.0.LXKCNDA_v7-5.1 all is ok.

Hey everyone, I need help for my Xoom 3G MZ601, I just rooted it and flashed EOS' rom and I'm stuck at bootanimation. I'm new to rooting and flashing custom roms for tablets, its different in phones.
When you say you are stuck, what have you tried to do? Have you tried to get back into your custom recovery? If you can, you could try to reflash your rom and gapps after wiping cache and dalvik cache. You would have your system wiped when you unlocked, but you could wipe again before reflashing...that might help.
Yes, I wiped everything, I did this 5 times and the same thing happens, stuck in bootanim.

1. Do you have a backup of your stock rom? if you have a backup and recovery works you should be able to recover your stock system and everything will be allright.
2. If you don't have a backup enter this site motodev site (i can't post any links) download correct firmware for your device and flash every part of downloaded rom via fastboot.
I hope it will help you
It seems like your recovery img is the culprit, try downloading eos with goomanager..
try; adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery eos-recovery-r6.img http://goo.im/devs/teameos/recoveries/wingray/eos-recovery-r6-softkeys.img or http://goo.im/devs/teameos/recoveries/wingray/eos-recovery-r6.img
adb reboot recovery
I can't install custom ROMs on p3113
Steps Taken
Starting with stock firmware/recovery
using chainfire autoroot
reboot
use root checker to confirm root
Use Odin to flash a custom recovery. (I tried Andi's CWM, TWRP, and also Philz touch 6.40)
Custom recovery flashes no issues and I can boot into custom recovery
I do factory wipe, then also dalvik, and cache again for good measure
Go to install a custom ROM via recovery
Go to reboot and the recovery prompts me that I need root and to asks gives me an option to install su
When I do that and reboot it bootloops.
I've tried 3 different recoveries. The ROMs I've attempted to flash are Dhollmen 4..4.4, and Andi's Omnirom 4.4..4.
It appears I can install 5.x ROMs without issue.
Any idea what I can do to fix this problem?
edit: in the process of trying twrp 2.8.0.5
edit2: no luck with 2..8.0.5 which I found on Dhollmen's thread. Going go browse through the forum looking for older recoveries.
Have you tried clearing /system
Yes
Try updating your SU binary before the flash, also try plain jane CWM, Andis CWM acts weird sometimes.
If SU binary won't update delete and install a different one, then update.
Pp.
Wipe cache
Wipe dalvic
Format /data
Format /system
Reboot recovery once
Flash rom.zip (don't flash anything else!)
Reboot into system, don't use "fix root"!
If it boots (Lollipop takes some time) your are good to go to flash gapps etc.

The only thing I wasn't doing was rebooting after wiping. Wiping then rebooting let me install the 4.4.4 ROMs no problem. I never would have figured this out thanks a lot. What causes the need to reboot after wiping?
@HappyRoot good to hear.
Seems like one of the partition wasn't unmount by the updater-script or recovery after wipe and caused that issue.

It only worked with installing SlimKat/Dhollmen I'm still unable to install Omni 4.4.4. I've done a complete wipe Odin'd twrp 2.8.4.1 and flash the zip via adb sideload. I keep getting an updater binary error.
update: twrp would crash at 37% and give me a binary error. when i odin'd updated cwm from you android file list i was able to get to 100% but then i would get a status 6 error.
Then you are doing something wrong...
Recovery log?

Hello everyone! Need help.
I was testing some Xposed modules and then the system crashed and started no more.
I entered the twrp and made a wipe in all the options that there was to do.
The problem is that now the phone does not start any more, there is no way to get into the recovery or the room. When you turn it on, it goes straight to the recovery qualcoom screen. How should I proceed?
Sounds like you wiped system aswell...
Fastboot twrp should work.
In fastboot twrp flash twrp zip
Reboot to twrp
Flash OOS
Flash twrp
Reboot to twrp
Flash magisk
Should get you booted atleast

hello mate
and when i install Rom, do i need to install on both slots or i can have one has backup (its what i have been doing till now)?
and when i factory reset, what will i lose?
Well, it is difficult to say. Usually, every ROM has its thread, its instructions and its community that helps with problems related to installing that ROM.
It could be a few things:
1) I do not see any mention about wiping data. Usually you need to wipe data and wipe system partition in twrp before you install a new ROM. Maybe that is the issue. However, what you need to wipe is ROM specific.
2) Check prerequisites, what ROM version you need to be running before you flash. Sometimes that matters.
3) OnePlus 6 has these A/B slots that I do not fully understand. From what I have read, if you are running on slot A, update installs on slot B, and then you reboot to slot B and cycle continues. BUT DO NOT TRUST ME ON THIS. You should read yourself. Anyway, sometimes people recommend flashing both slots A and B. For some ROMs. For LineageOS, for example, that is not necessary.
oh, factory reset damn i would want to configure everything again
I think first.
You have to WIPE data, all. Factory wipe option.
Then boot into twrp
First, flash OOS, followed by TWRP
Reboot to Recovery using twrp itself.
And then again flash OOS and TWRP.
Reboot to recovery again (using the option in twrp itself)
Finally, then install your rom followed by gapps etc etc
Then it should work....
is there anyway to do this without factory reset?
no
Hi Team,
Today i was flashing custom os in oneplus 6 via one youtuber videos
He has selected TWRP wipe menu
Advance -> system , data , Davic/ cache
i did same then he installed the os i also did the same and flash twrp
After doing roboot the system TWRP given me error no os was installed i ignored that message and proceed to next
After system was rebooted im only getting fastboot mode and no other options also im unable to install now any TWRP in my system
can some one help me please
Maybe try format data.
Go to wipe then advance wipe and format data.
If it doesnt work then use msmtool to go back to stock rom and start again.
Don't trust every YT videos you see, NEVER wipe system on op6 or you get this result.
Now you can reinstall TWRP from fastboot and reflash stock OOS twice, if it did not work try to flash stock fastboot firmware
here is a simple solution..
Reboot Recovery
Wipe Data, System, Cache
Flash OOS & TWRP
Reboot into recovery (Ignore No OS Installed Warning)
Flash OOS & TWRP Again
Reboot
Done
if you want to Flash Custom ROM, Here is guide
Reboot Recovery
Wipe Data, System, Cache
Flash OOS & TWRP
Reboot into recovery (Ignore No OS Installed Warning)
Flash OOS & TWRP Again
Reboot into Recovery
Flash Custom ROM & TWRP
Reboot into Recovery
Flash Gapps, Magisk Latest & No-Varity zip is had data decrypted
Reboot
Done
