Hi everyone, I am new here. I tried to root a HTC Desire 500 dual SIM that belongs to a friend. I followed the guide posted on XDA on this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46430699&postcount=5
Did everything as stated. Phone was working fine even after that though it was not rooted and I could not find the SuperSU app. One time, I switched off the phone and then it would not turn on again. When I put it to charge, I see a blinking orange LED. No display. According to a post on this site, I manually tried to charge the battery using an external charger. Battery has enough voltage to power up the phone now. But it is not powering on. Will not enter into fastboot mode also.
What I have observed:
1. If I put the phone to charge without the battery, it behaves in exactly the same way.
2. I put it to charge with an already charged battery overnight. In the morning I removed the charger and took out the battery. The battery was completely drained.
Any help would be appreciated.

Ive been using htc desire 820n for the last 8-10 months. last month i had this experience that suddenly the phone got switched off and it was never able to get back to ON. since i bought it from UAE and i live in India, i sent it to UAE for warranty claim and they got it fixed by replacing its main board. i received the phone yesterday and it was working perfectly. i kept it for charging and suddenly it went switched off. The LED was blinking frequently and phone restarted several times showing HTC logo . I tried the volume down + up + power button trick ..somehow it worked and showed the battery charging sign. i kept it for charging overnight. today morning when i looked the LED was blinking and i am not able to switch it on anyway. Is there anyway i can fix this ? or should i sent it for warranty again
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA assist.
It would be best for you to make another warranty claim so that they can solve your issue properly.

Hi everyone,
It's been a day I'm looking for a solution for my problem. At home I made a charger, with li-ion batteries. When I plugged it in my phone (after boosting up the voltage to 5V), it immediately turned off and since then the phone does nothing.
When I want to charge it, the red led is on and every second it goes off for a fraction of time. With those things, I first thought I bricked my phone (It was rooted but original software and locked bootloader), so I followed the methods of this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2646405) but my phone is not recognized. There's no reaction from the computer after I plug the phone to my computer with the test point to ground.
I'm hoping someone can help me with this problem.

Hey all. New to the forums and looking for your experienced advice. My son has a Blu Life One X 2016 which he forgot was in his swim trunks and ended up in the river with him for about 2 minutes. He and his friends took it right away and put it in a bag of rice where it sat for 3 days. After taking it out, it wouldn't boot so we put it on the charger for about 3 hours to see if the battery was just dead. It seemed to charge it because the red charge light turned green as usual but it still wouldn't boot. However, now it will periodically start beeping and vibrating like it is on vibrate or silent mode. I kind of figure it can't be recovered even by changing out the motherboard and battery but I am really curious why the beeps and vibrating. Any thoughts??

Hello all
I dont know the right place to ask about my problem so I apologize in advance.
I own an Leeco Le X600 phone and up until next week it was working fine.
A new marshamallow came out and I updated it gtom lollipop without an issue.
This weekend everything changed.
I wanted to copy some pictures to my computer so I plugged the USB cable and nothing happened.
The phone vibrated but didnt recognize the usb connection nor the computer recognized the phone.
I decided to reboot the phone hoping that would fix the problem when I first encountered the problem
The phone would boot to the logo screen and then reboot again in a continuous loop.
I tried to get into recovery mode thinking that I would reinstall the firmware 15s but the logo would show Recovery but it would just reboot.
I finally figured out that plugging the USB cable to either the computer or charger the phone then reboots normally (in recovery too).
I have since done factory resets, reinstalls of the firmware with no change in behaviour.
The phone was unusually warm all the time and today I charged it to 100% and basically just let it sit unplugged without using it all day and the battery was empty in about 7 hours.
So its safe to say that the battery is busted.
I can order a replacement battery, they are not very expensive but my concern is that while that should fix the battery life would it fix the other problem with the USB connection and booting issue?
When the cable is plugged the phone vibrates which indicates to me that it recognizes it but it just goes into charging mode and doesnt give the options for data like I simply plugged into the charger.
I have tried different cables and different computers.
Anyone has seem anything similar and know if a battery replacement solved the issue?
