Hi, i am planning to buy Samsung S7. But i don't know which one is better from the point of view of custom rom. Exynos or Snapdragon?. I am regretting that i bought sgs5 (G900H) exynos version 2 years ago since there is only few custom roms. whereas Sasmung s5 snapdragon version have many custom roms.So which version of Samsung S7 will have more choices for custom rom in the future ?

Is this feature coming to the s8 exynos version?
Yes. If it is for snapdragon then it will come for exynos as well.
Samsung UK have stated in their Members app thread that this wont be coming with Oreo.

It's sad to see this. Let's wait for some developer to make a cra1 or latest Oreo based rom. If they can port it from snapdragon.
i'm trying to port stock samsung nougat rom for s5 snapdragon model
do you know any samsung devices that have the same cpu 801 and got the nougat update or what devices with another cpus that are compatible with snapdragon 801

None of SD801 yet. There was one tablet at SD6XX, and upon several try, it was not possible to boot to SD800 (note3). But you can try either way. Check tablets that got nougat update. It was the only one "port"able to SD800 (very similar to SD801).
Good luck

i did a research on various devices and i think the best one for s5 is the c9 pro
because there was many roms based on c9 pro with android marshmallow which got ported to s5
and the c9 pro got the nougat update so i was wondering why the devs didn't think about it or is it me who is missing sth important?
however i'm gonna ask you to do me a favour Can you give a guide about how to port the c9 pro stock nougat rom to s5 please
and thank you

Wow... search xda
You started like "I want to port". From "I want to port" to actually porting will take about 2-3 years... if you study hard

Still pretty new to this community. Anyways, the Galaxy S7 (not US) has a Exynos processor. All the Exynos ROM posts don't list supported devices so I'm unsure about G930L or G930K compatibility with G930F custom ROMs. Please help me out on this as I'm planning on buying a S7 to custom ROM and tinker with, but don't want to end up with a phone stuck on Android 8.0

Ignore the letter as you've said its the chipset that matters. Exynos is Highley customisable.

I was wondering because of the different bands and model number
Samsung always releases Exynos variants in india but this time Samsung released S908E Snapdragon variant in india. I'm confused which Variant I should I buy because I'm custom rom lover. I never see much custom roms for SD vaints in india. So can someone help that which variant should I buy so that developers can support new custom roms to both variants Exynos & SD together.
If you are a custom rom lover, you might be better off buying a device that has better AOSP development support rather than spending 1 lakh+ on a device that would be feature handicapped if you happen to root it.
