Moto G Rom Flashing not Working - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was having some problems with the older rom on my Moto G, so I thought it would be a good idea for a new one. I am trying to flash the Tesla-falcon-6.0.1.Shock_Therapy.v1.0-test-20160125-1532 rom aand have also tried its 5.1.1 variant. Each time I tried to flash, I got this error.
Code:
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata at /data: Invalid argument
unmount of /data failed; no such volume
Patching system image unconditionally...
Verifying the updated system image...
Verified the updated system image.
Flashing SuperSU...
unmount of /system failed; no such volume
script succeeded: result was [ ]
Install from adb complete
EDIT: I also tried flashing this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/development/stable-aosp-caf-t3284323 of 6.0.1 lollipop and this is what my recovery told me:
Code:
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Installing update...
Target: motorola/aosp_falcon/falcon:6.0.1/MMB29M/16:userdebug/test-keys
Patching system image unconsitionally...
Verifying the updated system image...
Verified the updated system image.
script succeeded: result was [0.200000]
Install from ABD complete.
And this time it works. Now that there is a proper image of 6.0.1 running on the device, I'm going to try to flash the tesla rom again and see what happens.
My question is, what can I do to fix this?

check the update-script from that rom or feedback to developers.

Help Me Make A Custom RC30

I have applied the custom recovery and boot images to my phone.
I have downloaded the RC30 update and removed boot.img and recovery.img and removed them from the manifests and update script.
I resigned the update with the tool provided in the zip with the custom recovery and boost images. I had to comment out the beginning of the script where it checks the fingerprint of the phone.
It is verifying the image and applying it, but is constantly failing on the same thing.

The patch system in this update seems to have alot of issues. Try the full one at https://android.clients.google.com/updates/signed-kila-ota-116143-prereq.TC4-RC19+RC28+RC29.zip
There is no applypatch binary in that update zip.
I already have RC29 on there, I am trying to make a RC29 to RC30 update patch that will allow us to keep root.

[Q] Bricked Photon Q - boots into recovery

I think I've just successfully bricked my Photon Q.
Right now I'm stuck with Clockwork recovery (v 6.0.1.3) and my system backed up.
I've tried to install CM12 (cm-12-20150330-NIGHTLY-xt897) but it gives me an error :
Code:
Installing update...
Warning: No file_contextsThis package is for device: xt897asanti_c; this device is asanti.
E: Error in sdcard 0 update zip (Status 7)
Installation aborted.
When trying to recover my system from backup it gives me :
Code:
E: format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on dev block platform msm_sdcc.1 by-name system
Error while formatting system!
Right now I'd like to install ANY CM that would actually work. Please help!
Flash the correct recovery.

M8 stuck at Blue Android after update to CM14

Hi everyone!
I'm having a problem with my HTC One M8 after updating to cm-14.1-20161130-NIGHTLY-m8.zip. I was waiting for an appointment and playing with my phone when I noticed that an update was available. I really wasn't paying full attention, (e.i I got stupid!), and I applied the update via TWRP. When I installed the update, I got the following error, but it didn't notice it at that time:

When I rebooted the phone, I was stuck at the blue android. I was able to reboot into developers mode and try to reflash which is when I saw the error warning. I powered off the phone and rebooted again and the phone booted, but it is not detecting the SIM chip or seeing wifi. Many apps are not working and error messages about apps not starting keep popping up, (com.android.phone has stopped, Google Play services keeps stopping, etc.). Some widgets are working, (Bob Clock 3D), but others like Beautiful Weather are not.
I tried to reflash with the previous rom, cm-13.020161010-NIGHTLY-m8, but that one, as well as cm-13.020160301-NIGHTLY-m8, but they just remain at the blue android. I then downloaded cm-14.1-20161201-NIGHTLY-m8 and tried to install that, but I got the same error. I also tried to reinstall Open GApps, both open_gapps-arm-6.0-mini-20160301 for cm-13 and open_gapps-arm-7.1-mini-20161201 for cm-14 with no results. I have also tried wiping the cache and the dalvik.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can try next?
Thanks
zog

Can't flash Ressurection Remix - "could not detect filesystem"/failed to mount.../...
I get Error when Flashing RR ROM on my Wiko Getaway, since the thread is abbadoned I must ask here the experts....
I have the ROM form here: "https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/port-resurrection-remix-wiko-getaway-t3426641"
I followed all instructions but when I flash the ROM this errors appear at start of instalation:
"could not detect filesystem for /dev/block/mmcblk0p9, assuming ext4
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p9 at /data: No such file or directory
unmount of /data failed; no such volume

Script says it was flashed successful but when I flash Gapps they wont install coz it says I still have 4.4.4 ROM... also it won't boot up.
I hope any expert can help me out Thank you vm.

Am I doomed? What does '32k crc checked failure' mean?

I happened to get Mate 8 two days ago, and it turned out that it was a Chinese version.
- The phone version is: NXT-TL00C01B596
- Android version was 7(and some decimals, maybe.),
- EMUI version was 5.0.1 or something if I remember correctly.
I wanted to flash an international stock rom, so started with this thread.
- I got the bootloader unlocked,
- installed TWRP following this instruction,
and downloaded some roms from here,
(I downloaded roms starting with 'NXT-L09' since I read they're international version).
I went to TWRP, and wiped and formatted (without a backup, idiot!), and tried to flash the downloaded update.zip file, and got the following message:
Installing zip file '/external_sd/update (1).zip'
Checking for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found

Patching system files...

I know not much, but I guess the error started at where it says '32k crc checked failure'.
I searched for what it means and what'd be the solution for it, but it seemed there aren't much information about it.
Then I decided to roll back to original rom to make it work again, so found a rom from 'firmware finder for Huawei' app.
And when I tried to flash it on TWRP, I got this error message:
Installing zip file '/external_sd/update.zip'
Checking for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found
Warning: No file_contexts
mountencrypt: failed to mount /data: Success

Updater process ended with ERROR: 9
Error installing zip file '/external_sd/update.zip'

I tried dload method with the original rom for my device(NXT-TL00C01B596), and it gives me an error message "Software install failed" almost instantly.
(i see 5% progress for a moment)
I still have an access to eRecovery, so tried it, and it also got me an instant error message "Download package failed" at 0%.
And I also still have an access to fastboot.
Now I'm so confused in which step I made a mistake.
Did I install a wrong version of TWRP? Or should I not have attempted to flash the roms from different version?
I tried to figure it out by myself by searching, but am getting more confused.
Could anyone help me out from this issue?:crying:
