You'll have to go into settings>language and input>Samsung keyboard and double check to see if predictive text is on.

SOLVED-Help! I lost my keypad- no letters just numbers

Hey Everyone,
I upgraded to Android 1.6 and rooted my phone.
All is working fine.
(I added the apps better keyboard and slide keyboard) days ago.
I JUST noticed that the default dialpad is missing the letters under the numbers that means if I have to spell a name using the dialpad I can't since I ONLY see numbers now.
Can someone shed some light on this?
How do I turn back on the T9 keyboard??? I think that's what I need to do, not sure.
The phone is an LG EVE.
THANKS!
How Do I delete this thread?
I turned off the better keyboard and now the dialer keypad shows the letters.
Strange...

Write [SOLVED] at the beggining of the title.
Most forums do not let you edit the title hence I did not look for that low tech solution

[Q] Full stop on handwriting keyboard

Hi all, I love using handwriting recognition on my Note but have trouble putting a full stop at the end of each sentence . Unless I am really quick at putting a full stop after the last word of my sentence, it puts a space after the last word and then a full stop. Any one else having this issue?.
Thanks in advance...
Scotty.
Try changing the recognition time in settings>language and input>Samsung keyboard(the little cog symbol)>handwriting>recognition time. I have mine set on 500ms, you can set from 2000ms to 100ms....

Galaxy 7 Swyping issue

I was having the same swyping issue as I noticed alot of other people are... I found the answer. If "predictive text is Off, swyping won't work. Unfortunately, if you want to Swype the Predictive Text has to be turned On. Hope this helps.

[Q] Can't turn off spell check (option missing)?!

Hi,
so on every android phone you go to 'keyboard and input' and there you can turn off spell check (red underlines on wrongly written words),
but on my find x2 pro this option is missing, which makes me mad, since I have everything red all the time since I'm writing in three languagues every day.
Edit.
I understand now what is happening:
OPPO uses Gboard as standard keyboard and in it's settings you can turn it off, so they don't offer this option in their OS, oppose to every other android phone on the market, rotfl.
This way it obviously only works with Gboard.
Where exactly did you find the option to switch dictionary off? I couldn't find it in gboard settings

I'm using swift keyboard
and unfortunately dictionary (red lines under the words in Arabic language) is still on despite that I've switched off the spell check option from gboard
But if I switch the keyboard to gboard it'll be gone for Arabic language
As I wrote in last sentence in first post turning off works only with Gboard.
I wrote already to swiftkey support so they include this option too, but I got zero answer.
And oppo support says they won't include it, because it's already in their default keyboard (Gboard)...

Question S-pen won't open keyboard

Hello,
for some time I have a weird bug or so? When I see a text field (a field where user can write on via keyboard) I cannot make GBoard open up.
I click on the field but the keyboard won't popup. I press the field by my finger and it shows up. How to make it to open via spen as well?
I have S22U UI 5.1

I seems like a GBoard issue. I use SwiftKey (beta) and the S Pen works as it should.

Every time you press the text field? For me as well but once the keyboard goes down (disappears) I cannot make it popup again - I need to use my finder on a text field.
I would guess it is related to spen features\bugs but resetting it didn't help though.
It started after I did something in options I think.

I though that as well - just installed swiftkey and the problem is the same - I need to use a finger to make it popup.
OK a small update - I think I got it.
Seems that Samsung keyboard can corrupt that function if handwriting is enabled/disabled. I needed to open/disable it for a few times in a row, then reset samsung keyboard settings. Now Gboard reacts to spen touches again - hopefully it will stays so and my happiness will not fall down.
Not gonna do that, but glad to know it's poor software and not incompetence, anyone tried to ask bixby to "set a 10 minute timer" only to be asked - "sure...how long should I set it for?" Modern technology

Thanks for the tip. I don't use Samsung Keyboard, so doing this if I start noticing issues won't hurt or cause me to lose anything.
