What is all these terms mean under AIDA64>Thermal?
max77854-fuelgauge 35.2C
therm_zone0 44.0C
therm_zone1 45.0C
therm_zone2 42.0C
therm_zone3 44.0C
therm_zone4 44.0C
ac 38.1C
battery 35.3C
Does this give any info about CPU Temp.? If not how to accurately measure it without using any external equipment? I feel my device is getting very hot.

OK. Just of curiosity, what does 'therm_zone0' mean?
Most likely a certain location inside the phone, it seems to have a handful of thermal sensors inside.

Does that mean anything related to CPU temp?
Zone 0-4 are CPU related temps.
Just guessing but makes sense.

I have to be sure because a different app is showing relatively low CPU temp.
I'm quite sure. If you refer to the CPU temp app from play store, that one is wrong.

It is quite similar to the one in AIDA64/CPUZ. But just for the marked value in the screenshot. That's why I asked many guys about what's the next 5 values relating to some zones mean. Nobody is sure of the answer [emoji53]
I had aida show me 75 Celsius, that can't be anything else that CPU.

Ooh 74C! Under load? I'll check mine also.
The therm_zoneX values are in no way related to CPU as far as I can see from these pics(attached).
Put your CPU under stress, watch the temps and tell me then that those are not CPU readings.

I took the highest value from the AIDA64 among the 'therm_zoneX' values as you can see from the attached pic. Also have attached my readings during a session of NFS No limits. Please have a look. Seems crazy!?

I am using cm9 and i am under the impresion that the tab is getting warmer then with the stock rom. Also i have the a6 kernel.
I am using the normal speeds min300 and max1008 hrz. Wat is the normal temp for the tab2. I am getting 38 degrees after using the tab for about an half hour. Is this normal?

Hi, my tab is running the stock rom.. but only getting 2 about 30 to 35 degrees celcius.. when i use it for about an hour.
Even 35 sounds alot, i do not have that much experience wit tabs but for such thin devices it feels rather hot. Bt i geuss its normal then.

How are you guys able to measure the internal temperature of your Tab 2. I was under the impression that it doesn't have a temp. sensor to measure it.

Various battery monitoring apps provide temperature information and I am sure there are some apps that simply provide temperature information alone.
I have been curious about what a good or "okay" temperature range is for this device.. Or any tablet really.

With an APP called Wake Lock Detector, you can easily see what's keeping your phone awake (and using precious battery power) EVEN when the screen is off.

How much do you use email n calendar?
Sent from Note 3 (The beauty & beast)
Wow, what is the total time spent on calendar storage out of 7h11m?
The percentage doesn't mean much. Ideally, we like to have the awake time very close to the screen on time. That means, the device was working only when we actively use it (screen on). If the awake time is much higher than the screen on time, that means the device is doing lots of stuffs in the background while the screen was off and therefore consumed battery.
so for example, if mine gets 80% : out of 10 hours, mine slept for 2, awake for 8, screen on for 8. Mine is doing much better than your 20%, if yours awake for 2, slept for 8, but with a screen on time of 1.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 4
What you say in your example is right, but we still need a way to represent that in terms of efficiency.
That can be defined as:
Deep Sleep / (Total Time Measured - Screen On Time)
Click to collapse
This means, for every unit of time (ie: 1 minute) where sleep is possible, how much of it was actually spent sleeping?
Which is also the same as saying inversely:
Awake time, while screen off / (Total Time Measured - Screen On Time)
Click to collapse
How much time was spent being awake, (while screen was off) for every unit time where it is possible to be sleeping?
I'll kick off the benchmark thread for this fantastic phone. Pretty impressive....

I was in the mid 60k before root, now I am at 70885.
rooted and getting around 60k consistently.
For those of you getting close to 70k, are you doing anything to help get a better score? like kill all apps first, etc.

Heat is the benchmark killer. Let your phone sit until it's cooled off completely and not on charger. Then run benchmark. If I run it when it's hot it is lower. On a sunny day when I had my phone charging on the quick charger in my truck my phone was super hot and scored in the 50k range.
I am rooted and pulling 65k now consistently..

Sounds like governor issue, I'm using Mokee rom (official) myself and mine heated up faster than it should. I also noticed my battery didn't last as long either.
I downloaded a app that can set the governors manually such as SetCPU. The app itself isn't free at Playstore but "is" if you google it.

Yes it does, however if you're gonna play games set up profiles with different govorner and higher frequency.

The ondemand governor might be better for battery saving, which should keep your phone cooler. However if you notice performance issues, try bump the frequency before you change governor or add profiles.
I dont really know anything about governer and this sort of things...i just want to play games smoothly and a good battery and not overheating that easily..

I don't have any settings I can recommend sorry. Your phone will heat up when you play games but if you limit max frequency your phone will be cooler but might lag instead.
Lower frequency = Cooler phone = Lower framerate (lag)
Higher frequency = Hotter phone = Higher framerate (smooth)
What you need is a setting between those two.
Good luck!
whats your setup
Reason
You are getting this problem because of your username.
Use best battery stats and look for battery drainer apps, if apps normal, check your cores. Some kernels cores not go offline. All cores working with lover frequency although phone need only one core.

Hey, if I were you I would re-do the tests. Something looks awfully wrong there; my Marshmallow Note5 was able to score 5,000 in multicore Geekbench 3, and around 69,000 on AnTuTu. If they come out the same, try reflashing the ROM, something might be off
Got this on Marshmallow
Make sure you are running the updated kernel that has doze enabled
I haven't been impressed with the fact the SM-N920T posts consistently lower scores than the reference score on AnTuTu but the real performance of the device speaks for itself so I just don't go by those benches anymore.
