I´m trying to root my android box amlogic g18ref. I already tried every kind of root app and did not work at all. I cant use adb because the developer mode is blocked by firmware.
Another strange thing is that i use the stock firmware and try to update with Android Recovery it works. But if i just unzip it, zip it again, no changes, resign it i got the same error when i try to root or use a custom ROM.
Can anybody help me?

Hello everyone, I need your help Please.
I discovered Android and obviously I do stupid things
Following mishandling, my tablet is blocked.
I wanted to install and test other "ROM" (as one can install an OS on a PC) but my tablet is not happy: p
Currently it normally lit but the WiFi and the touchscreen does not work.
It is well recognized by my PC but I can not validate the connection to the tablet (hs touch screen).
So I want a "ROM" compatible and the way to install it.
Thank you
Ps: I do not speak english (google translate).
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Unfortunately I can find very little about your device. However, I see you've posted this question in a number of forums on the internet. The only other thing I can suggest is to post here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2257421

SGH-T599N No Baseband, Null Imei, Insert Sim No USB Connections
Hello, I have a Samsung SGH-T599N
The device usb port is damaged beyond repair. It has stock "Metro Pcs" firmware which I managed to installed via a backup of another SGH-T599N via Custom Recovery. However I I cant seem to find a way to restore to (Baseband/ Modem/radio) for the mobile network to work.
I tried the modem.bin on the first post of this thread via the terminal and it does not work. I do however have access to another SGH T599N I would like to know if there is a way to copy the Baseband and all other necessary components to install on the one without usb connection either via Terminal or Custom Recovery.
So my problem in summary: SGH-T599N with no usb capability to has no baseband, or imei or modem and cannot connect to mobile
has Custom Recovery Installed and is Rooted.
I also have access to a second SGH-T599N
Please Help, is there a way that I can fix this problem.

Hi guys,
I'm using an Android 4.4 tablet (rooted), and I want to customize these 2 icons that shows on notification bar: WiFi with question mark, and downloading icon (actually it's a short animation to show the downloading status)

}
I know the icons should be in an apk file, but I don't know the file path. I try to extract “systemui.apk” ,"framework-res.apk" and "settings.apk", but nothing found. Could somebody tell me any possible path please? Thanks a lot.

I don't have this device but, I do understand what you're experiencing for your device since this is a real challenge regarding anything on the forum as well as on Google as well.
I looked up your device and saw that your device has an "MTK6735". This is also known as a Mediatek MT6735.
You have 2 options...
1) Contact the manufacturer, via the following link, and try to obtain some type of support for your device.
http://www.sumvier.com/support/index.html
2) The form has a ton of various information that's specific to the MT6735 and the MT67xx (the MT67xx indicates all Mediatek devices that begin with MT67).
I can only provide you with some options where you may be able to obtain some type of member guidance to either help you out or even another thread that may better fit your device/situation.
These are just a handful of threads to help give you a good start...

As a last resort, if all else fails with any of the above threads, you can always try to obtain some member guidance within one of the following General Q&A forum threads.

I do wish you the best of luck!

That information doesn't tell us anything useful. Can you post the model number of the device? You have posted a screenshot of your software information, can you find your hardware information and post that instead?

I did a search for an update for your specific model number, I did not find anything for your device, there are no updates for your device. If you are having problems that require a newer android version, you will not be able to solve your problem. You will have to buy a device with a newer android version.
If you just wanted to update it because you wanted to instead of updating to solve an issue, you will have to settle for what you already have.
If you tried to modify or flash your device and caused an issue, you will probably not be able to solve it because there is no stock firmware available for your device.
